22  Economy / Computer hardware / [WTS] 2 X XFX 5870 & 1 X 5870 Reference card for sale on: April 12, 2013, 06:52:02 PM
Hi there,

After my recent successful sale of a large amount of equipment with 'Clearfly' on the below link I have a few more bits and pieces for sale.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=164081.0

This time round i have:

2 x XFX 5870 graphics cards, stock, boxed with crossfire included.

The DVI adaptors are missing, however boxes are in good condition with magnetic shield bags. These are working perfectly (how do I know? Well they are in this PC I am writing from). NEVER been mined on, simply used as crossfired in my Photoshop/Premiere rig. These were on top of the 20 x 5870 GPU's I was mining on. Voltages never messed with, nor overclocked.

1 x Reference 5870 graphics card, NO box or accessories.

This was purchased a few years back and since I lost the box it will be shipped in adequate packaging. The card worked well for many years, however about 1 month ago started glitching where it only showed colours in pink, or with artifacting. Taking this into account I will let it go for a good price, HOWEVER I have been told that all it needs is a simple oven reflow to mend any cracked solder, but Im no expert and going on others' advice. To let you know I stripped this card for cleaning twice in last two years and also to reapply better thermal paste and VRAM pads. I am very proficient and cautious in doing my work so you can safely know I never broke the card. If you feel safe on repairing cards then buy this, its a wonderful card which I began mining on 2 years ago. Since that I went on to build 5 x quad rigs which gained fame in being the first Litecoin big miner.

PLEASE NOTE I WILL ONLY BE OFFERING THIS TO UK BUYERS UNLESS A REALLY GOOD OFFER IS SUBMITTED.

I require payment in LITECOIN (LTC) ONLY! No PayPal, No Cash, No Swaps!

Payment required before I deliver via recorded special delivery with Royal Mail. If you check the link above and ask about me I think I have proved worthy of up front payment, I would never slander my name for a quick scam! If you require pictures then by all means ask and I will post. If I get a chance I will post some anyway.

Thanks!
23  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Litecoin time to shine, now that Bitcoin bottomed... on: April 10, 2013, 10:32:04 PM
Wanted to see what peoples thoughts were on this. After todays crash of almost $500 million on BTC i was thinking this is Litecoin's time to shine. We all know when it comes to technicals that LTC surpasses that of BTC, and maybe the community should back the currency more. Ive often said that I dont agree with the current LTC price due to services, so now is it time for more shops and places to accept it? By having BTC lowered in price it should give a more of a level playing field for LTC to do its magic... What do you guys think?
24  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / MtGox & Litecoin - Its all a rumor gone out of control on: April 09, 2013, 10:30:37 PM
I thought Id start this as it seems everyone is pinning their hopes on Gox accepting LTC. Im all for expansion of the currency but when you consider the facts it does seem a bit of a fallacy.

MtGox have lag issues anyway with Bitcoin traffic, often I see upto 8 minutes lag which aside being shoddy service considering how much they make, does make me feel they manipulate markets and prevent trading when it suits them. The addition of LTC would simply over load their already slow system. If any alt currencies were coming to Gox I would think they would put this off for some time at least until they can scale their servers.

The price of LTC is already pumped to hell, I know a lot of people won't like me saying that but its true. Theres not enough services to sustain this price and when you consider the services BTC had at this price it certainly puts LTC into perspective.

LTC will grow, but not until payment processors are out and no one exchange has the foothold on the market like BTC-e.

Im in LTC for the long run, but cant say I dont expect a big fall to happen soon when buys run out of steam due to lack of confidence.
25  Economy / Computer hardware / 12 X 5870, 4 X CROSSHAIR IV FORMULA, 4 X OCZ 1250W FOR SALE!!! on: April 01, 2013, 05:22:24 PM
Hi there,

Many of you on the BTC-E troll box would know that for a few weeks Ive had quite a few pieces of hardware for sale all boxed, with accessories and not registered. I started with 20 x 5870 XFX GPUs, 5 x Crosshair IV Formula Motherboards and 5 x OCZ 1250w Gold Rated PSU's.

Since then I have sold a few leaving me with the list below.

9 X 5870 XFX GPUs - all working to my knowledge, boxed with accessories and not registered. Voltages never changed, ran perfect, most to 420 - 440 KHS

3 X 5870 XFX GPUs - 1 x needs a replacement fan, 1 x brand new but suffered a static short on install, 1 x static shock after 2 months use. Again all boxed with accessories and not registered.

4 X Crosshair IV Formula AM3 AMD Asus motherboards - All in pristine condition, 4 x PCI slots, auto overclock, I can't rate these boards enough.

4 X OCZ 1250w PSUs - These are by far one of the best PSUs Ive ever used. Gold Rated to over 80%, a crap load of wires and connectors meaning you won't need to buy anything else. Pristine condition, no marks or scratches, again unregistered.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I will say at this point that the sale is going to be done in 3 stages:

1. UK only buyers who want to buy the lot. Postage is a lot due to weight therefore I will personally deliver anywhere in the country for no fee. I will require 100 LTC deposit, when I deliver the items we are to sit and transfer remaining balance and wait till 6 confirms. This is the only way I will accept. No PayPal, No cash, Im only interested in Litecoins really.

2. If parts are not sold in one go I will then sell individually, this time opening up to all EU countries. Prices will be subject to postage cost. If you don't like my prices for postage you are welcome to arrange your own courier but I take no responsibility at that point. Any services I arrange WILL include compensation to the value of goods and postage + 10% to be on the safe side. Items to be paid for in LTC in advance.

3. Any remaining items will be available worldwide, postage isn't cheap from what I have been quoted so far, but we will look at this when the time comes. Again payment required up front.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

PROOF AND TRUST

Im the same TheKoolio from BTC-e.com, OTC, BitBargain.com and LitecoinPool. I held the top spot for some time on LitecoinPool and a few other pools when Litecoin started. I think Im relatively trustworthy, never done anything to scam anyone and if anything try to rat out scammers. The parts for sale are all from my 5 x quad rigs which I was mining with for just under 5 months. All of the hardware has never had voltages messed with and I took absolute care as I knew the day would come when they need to be sold.

The YouTube link below is the rig where the hardware came from. I do not wish to hear 'that looks messy' or 'no care taken'. Truth is that setup regardless how messy it looks was chosen for a few reasons:

1. open air rigs lower temps and therefore increase longevity of hardware lifespan.
2. connections were not strained, no pulling or stresses. That is why bits are at different angles. One of the first things to go is connectors, the way I do things everything is like new. Believe me on that.
3. I used anti static tables to make sure nothing was shorted. I do have two cards listed above which had shorts but those two were from an unknowing family member otherwise everything was last recorded as working.

Anyway the video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TBXBB5sy5sA

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Prices

As Ive said Im really only interested in Litecoins. Bitcoins not accepted as far as Im concerned you can go to BTC-e or elsewhere and change them to LTC easily. I don't wish to partake in that myself. Only fiat currency I will accept is GBP pounds, but only and strictly only if the offer is good. I would convert the fiat to LTC anyway so hence my reasoning.

This is going to be a bid style listing. Lasting 7 days whoever has placed a bid over the starting amount which is highest will win. I will PM or email and arrange deposit. I will give 5 days to reply. If no reply is met or other circumstances come inbetween the sale then the subsequent bidders will be contacted.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Please start offers at 2300 LTC!!!

If I chose to put an order down on a 60gh unit do you think I would get it too late to make any profits? Im tempted to buy one but I think I may be too far back in the queue.

28  Economy / Computer hardware / 8GH OF MINING GPUs AND HARDWARE FOR SALE - 5870's on: October 16, 2012, 02:14:49 PM
Hi there,

For those that dont know me Ive ran 8MH (litecoin) 8GH (bitcoin) rigs for almost 14 months now (mining for around 9 months of this) switching between bitcoin and litecoin. I was one of the first big miners on litecoin and I like to think these rigs helped somewhat to the growth and popularity of Litecoin by offering a stable foothold.

Anyway I have links to the rigs below so you can see the setup.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TBXBB5sy5sA

Note these were run as an open rig, with no cases... I chose this as not only offering lower heat retention which increases the durability of the cards but also wires and connectors weren't struggling to fit in ports etc, so everything was gently held in place.

Hardware for sale:

20 x 5870 XFX cards (all unregistered and complete with all accessories in boxes) (cards good for at least 400MH each)
5 x 890fx Formula IV Crosshair AM3 boards (very high end with auto overclock and core unlock)
4 x OCZ 1250w gold rated PSU's (very high end with a stupid amount of wires)(able to run at least 4 gpus full speed, upto 6/7 gpus at full load)
3 x Athlon dual core cpus
2 x sempron 140 cpus
3 x 2GB corsair ram
3 x 750GB samsung HDD (currently have windows 7 and all mining software for bitcoin and litecoin, will be wiped if not specified)
40 x 120mm Antec 3 speed fans with switches
20 x GPU dummy plugs (to mine bitcoin making the cards think they are connected to a monitor)
15 x pci-e extenders (x16 speed)

Now all this stuff is sold as working, everything was running top notch before being packed. They were packed while using anti static protection, also given a LIGHT blast with compressed air... Some dust still remains as I will leave this to the buyer to care for their equipment.

As promised everything come in original matching serial boxes, with all accessories and wires and everything is unregistered.

History:

The items were all purchased from overclockers.co.uk except the dummy plugs and extenders which were from cablesaurus.com. As you can see these rigs are meant for serious hash power but on a budget, I have gone AMD as there was no cost or speed benefit by going intel.

They have run stable at sensible speeds. No voltage overclocking was taken place, only simple overclocking to a point where it all ran at a stable 80c temp.

If everything is purchased by one buyer not only will I personally deliver everything to their house (with cash or coin on delivery) I will also offer to help setup and give you troubleshooting and help for weeks after purchase date.

Unfortunatley as I cannot trust the care taken by buyers I cannot offer refunds or returns. Please note everything is unregistered so there may be a chance you can get a RMA is anything goes bad (which it shouldnt).

OFFERS:

Now in terms of price this whole setup cost me almost £6000 / $10'000, I would like sensible offers, and if everything was taken in one purchase or a bulk percentage of it then I will offer a good discount. Im currently looking for around £3500 for it all. The GPUs are rare and still command a premium of £110 on ebay, and the psu's go for £130, the motherboards for £90.

Anyone who buys this will be getting a huge discount on street prices as well as a ready to role litecoin or bitcoin mining rig.

Any questions, just pm, or goto btc-e.com, Im always chatting on there as 'Koolio'. Many people out there can vouch for me, and ideally a UK buyer is found so we can do a face to face transaction.

30  Economy / Scam Accusations / Raido Hang AKA Litecoin SCAMMER... Dont trust him on: October 15, 2012, 02:11:28 PM
Raido Hang AKA Litecoin on this forum stole 6000 ltc loan from me without paying it. Originally agreed a 4 week payback and right now at around 8-10 weeks. He avoids my pm, messages on btc-e and I can blatently see hes still active on here from his login dates.

He is a confidence trickster, he becomes your friend then asks for a loan. You wouldnt say no as he has history on the forums. From what I know he buys n sells gpus on here and ebay, and as far as I can gather he isnt very reliable on the sell side, alot of complaints made against him as well as undelivered items. Take a look at this scam section his name keeps popping up.

If anyone has also got issues with him I can give you all his personal details.... He cant go around thinking he's invincible.

Raido to you, I will delete this topic if you pay back my 6000ltc plus 2000 interest. Until then you migh expect a knock at the door from me when Im up north.
31  Economy / Goods / £600 Hermès Parallèle cufflinks swap for LTC, BTC or Digital Camera on: October 04, 2012, 02:22:49 AM

For sale are my beloved Hermes Parallel cufflinks worth well over £600. Sold out and not available any more these will most probably appreciate in price over the years. Even now hermes cufflinks go for well over £400 on ebay and the like and these are original first edition!

To find a link search for 'parallele 3554' in google!

I am not after only LTC or BTC, what I need quite urgently is a digital camera, and ideally something with removable lenses. Models I have in mind are the Sony NEX-5 and Panasonic Pen cameras. Currently looking around I will give someone a straight swap if they can give me a sony complete with second battery, charger, mem card and at least one other lens (other than standard). Things like tripods and cases might not taken into account but try me.

I need this swap in the next three weeks as I have a holiday at the end of October.

!!!Offers please by PM!!!
32  Other / Off-topic / LTC / USD possible price drop on: October 03, 2012, 08:06:30 PM
Looking at the long term graph YTD, are we currently at a line of resistance for ltc/usd. Possible that it may dip in price first? Also alot of people putting value going up towards litecoinglobal... but this is just a single service and should we not be worrying that we are going through yet another bubble?

33  Economy / Auctions / Domains for sale.... serious bids only on: September 27, 2012, 12:24:38 AM
I have the following domains registered with myself. Those that can have private listing do, others dont. I wish to sell them for Litecoins, however Bitcoin are acceptable but as for cash, only GBP and if you live in the UK you must meet me in person to do the exchange. Please PM offers, any that are considered or accepted will be followed with a Skype webcall as well as proof of funds with regards to ltc or btc.... (i.e. create two addresses, transfer so visable in the blockchain). I know what they are worth so if wishing to buy one or two I will consider but better price as a whole.

Serious bids only!

35  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / DDOS ATTACK IS OVER, LITECOINPOOL IS BACK ON BABY YEAHHHHHH on: July 19, 2012, 12:37:40 AM
as stated the attack seems to be over for now, the pool is back up, celebrate. may this teach some of you to have backup plans. learn how to solo mine and look for other pools just in case!

36  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / DDOS at litecoinpool on: July 18, 2012, 10:09:30 PM
Obviously some of you know that litecoinpool is undergoing an attack atm, for the integrity of litecoin can you please use another pool such as squidnet proxy, coinotron, litecoincash, ozcoin or p2pool!

THANKS!

(ps whoever is doing the attack, back off, stop stressing about your precious investments in btc, ltc is not a competitor but meant to work along side it!)
37  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / To all the Litecoin haters, trolls and twats on: July 04, 2012, 10:08:38 AM
For those of you who insistently believe that your words and 'suposed' critisms of the Litecoin network are getting through to any of us miners, wake up and smell the coffee. All the threats and critisms that you have raised in previous posts are falling on deaf ears... all of these are nothing new and problems that were initially faced on the uptake of bitcoin. Those who do slag off the currency are blatenly trying to maintain their precious investments in the bitcoin value and see litecoin as a threat. In fact ltc is meant to compliment bitcoin, so in actual fact if they were to mine it and get something out of it i think their views would change.

For those who want to know, NO I am not a litecoin founder, NO I do not run a pool or website affiliated to Litecoin. YES I am mining litecoin and have pumped alot of my own cash into the value, YES I also mine bitcoin, YES I believe the future of Litecoin is going to be good and Yes within time bitcoin will lose alot of miners as they switch to litecoin as its just become more profitable. Ive been around with a some good hash power since the early days of bitcoin and litcoin so I think my views are both unbiased and represent alot of people I know who both mine and invest in coins.

If you got beefs.... go home to your momma and weep to her!

Big up all the litecoin founders, btc-e.com, litecoinpool.org and certain individuals namely Coblee, TimothyA, Raido AbbeyTim and Pooler!
38  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / difference between all 5 of my quad 5870 rigs on: June 26, 2011, 09:00:15 PM
i have 5 systems all running the below hardware and software. why is that even though my cards are all stable at 970 clock and 185 mem they all produce different values, and i dont just mean between cards, i mean as a system whole. the speeds of each system are below, but i want them all to run at above 400, but having issues:

MB: Asus 890fx
processor: sempron 140 (with unlocked core using MB)
ram: 4gb corsair 1333
hdd 750 gb
graphics: 4 x xfx 5870

windows 7
phoenix rising
afterburner - for temp graphs
amd gpu clock tool for overclocking

system 1
card 1 - 360 mh
card 2 - 370 mh
card 3 - 360 mh
card 4 - 365 mh

system 2
card 1 - 380
card 2 - 380
card 3 - 380
card 4 - 380 (this card is a refference card, when run on a stand alone system i get 440 mh no problems)

system 3
card 1 - 400
card 2 - 400
card 3 - 400
card 4 - 390

system 4
card 1 - 370
card 2 - 370
card 3 - 380
card 4 - 400

system 5
card 1 - 420
card 2 - 420
card 3 - 420
card 4 - 420

so yes there are differences between each card, but systems as a whole have the notable differences. even my refference card only gets 380 mh and as explained ive got 440 out of this on a stand alone system.

Any suggestions will be appreciated!

I have a 7 ghash system atm, currently make around 10 BTC a day. Was wondering what namecoin would do for me? Worth mining some now incase the price goes up in the future or not? I really dont get namecoins, but would like to get involved if there is possibility of the price going up in the future. .
40  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Open rig mining next to windows? on: June 20, 2011, 03:21:30 AM
HI guys, Im running 5 rigs in a corner room, temps do get hot. I left three windows open and the rigs are very close to them. are there any issues with open rig mining near windows, especially when it rains? the rain cant come in but will air moisture be an issue or will the heat dry the air out?

on a side note, will 6 x 1250 ocz psu's running 5870 cards be an issue for my power system. I dont want to cause a fire. I was told its all about amps, my fuse box says not more than 100 amps, so far the 5 rigs, three plasmas a few other small appliances and normal things like lights fridge and washing machine have been fine for the last 48 hours.
