thx for participating its finished now Smiley
3  Economy / Lending / "crypto winter" should throw cold water on lenders on: January 27, 2019, 03:56:22 PM
It seems Bitcoin price drop caused lower personal valuation of bitcointalk accounts by some owners and looks like lenders realized this phenomenon a bit later.

Few recent lending examples to explain you what I mean:

grtthegreat :
- hero member preferred to lose his account for just 0.04BTC ($150): https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5102198.msg49422126#msg49422126
- legendary member dropped account just for 0.05BTC ($200): https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5087785.msg48904269#msg48904269

my case:
- legendary member who already repaid 2 loans before BTC price drop has defaulted 0.04BTC non-collateral loan and is not carrying about negative trust: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5101704.0

shasan:
- hero member defaulted 0.03BTC ($100) non-collateral loan and ruined his trust: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5030169.msg48734465#msg48734465

At the same time let's see few accounts offers examples:

- Legendary account for 0.015 BTC
No negative feedback - Never requested loans - Never banned.
Position - Legendary
Posts - 1119
Activity - 1119
Merit - 1018
Trust - Green trust
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5091528.0

- Legendary account for $150
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5094226.0

- Hero account for 0.01BTC
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5096756.0

- Full member accounts from $50 to $130
https://www.playerup.com/accounts/bitcointalkaccount/?order=price

So as a conclusion, I propose to consider current accounts valuation drop while accepting non-collateral or account pledged loans.
Therefore loanable amounts for such loans should be lower than acceptable "exit price" for hero/legendary members. My current estimate is: up to $50 for legendary and $30 for hero members. Another question are such loans make sense for both parties Smiley

P.S. Im not going to blame all legendary/ hero member because of few black sheeps and won't break existing trust based relationships on lending section Smiley
4  Economy / Scam Accusations / k0er scam reporting on: January 24, 2019, 02:31:32 PM
What happened:
I re-borrowed k0er 0.04 btc on 29.10.2018, he had to repay 0.04208 btc on 17.11.2018, but didn't do that.
I'd like to place on record that during the first month after the deadline k0er was available and asked via PM for loan's extension and informed me about repayment status, but then he was unavailable from 8th December 2018 till 9th January 2019. On 9th January he showed up, but unfortunately still didn't manage to repay money. For now he still owes me 0.05024 btc.

It's pity that I have to write this scam report, because k0er has repaid loans with me in full and with interests 2 times before. I supposed we had trustful business relationships Sad
5  Economy / Scam Accusations / adiebitsler scam reporting on: January 16, 2019, 06:57:00 PM
What happened:
I re-borrowed adiebitsler 0.03 btc on 19.11.2018, he had to repay 0.0345 btc on 14.12.2018, but didn't do that. We agreed on 1 week extension, so he had to repay 0.0372 btc till 23.12.18. He didn't do that too. So on 24.12.18 I voluntirely proposed him 1 more week loan's extension till 30.12.18 with repayment of 0.0399 btc. He didn't show up with repayment till now and don't answer to my messages.

9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / ❓What are the main Trends/Challenges for Bitcoin and whole industry? on: July 30, 2018, 09:39:46 AM
Nowadays Cryptocurrencies and especially Bitcoin are getting more popular, almost everyday appear new startups with attractive Whitepapers, which raise implausible money via ICOs and going to solve all possible and impossible problems. Because of this noise it is complicated to concentrate on real problems and current challenges for Crypto World and community.

So here is what I mean:

- ~ 600 BC Metal Coins appeared.

-> 2009 Bitcoin p2p Electronic Cash System, which operates without any central authority, was launched and allowed to make transactions without banks and removed government monopoly on minting, distribution and control of money.

-> 2010 Mt Gox appeared, allowed to buy and sell Bitcoin.

-> 2012/2013 Peercoin/NXT appeared trying to replace PoW with PoS.

-> many altcoins appeared, 2013 Mastercoin launched, which allowed to create coins on top of Bitcoin layer.

->  this idea was elaborated and in 2015 Ethereum was launched, that widely introduced smart contracts, ability to create own tokens and develop dapps on top of Ethereum blockchain. ICOs became trendy.

-> 2017 Lightening Network launched that enabled fast transactions for Bitcoin and micropayments.

Of course I mentioned not everything, a lot of things seems to be done, but more to come.

What's next for crypto industry? What are the most important Challenges now, what problems/weaknesses should be solved? Who is trying to solve them now and how?

PS please don't post in comments shitty projects - "copies of existing services but on blockchain"  Wink it has nothing to do with bright future and development of Bitcoin's and cryptocurrencies' World.

12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / [CHART] What are the biggest problems that traders see in exchanges? on: July 19, 2018, 04:28:26 PM

Statista chart here -> https://imgur.com/GwRTnEx

As for me, I see 2 biggest problems which are not mentioned here :
1. incredibly long and complicated verification process when you want to deposit fiat money: you should provide tons of your personal documents
2. problem on the banks/ processing services side - you should wait days before exchange will receive your money

from my point of view it should works like any eshop or service, you paid money and immediately receive your btc to wallet.
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Number of crypto wallets users has grown more then 7 times from 2015 to 2018 📈 on: July 18, 2018, 04:58:56 PM

Have found this encouraging statistics about cryptocurrency wallet's users -> https://imgur.com/fHbYpMn

It's obviously that number of crypto wallets != number of people, who use cryptocurrencies, but dynamic is clear: more and more people adopting crypto.

It would be also nice to know how many crypto wallets has 1 person in average.

15  Bitcoin / Project Development / [IDEA] Advent calendar for cryptocurrencies enthusiasts 🎁 on: July 11, 2018, 02:10:42 PM
I have an idea to create an Advent Calendar specially for cryptocurrencies enthusiasts. I suppose it should looks like usual calendar (box) that contains 24 gifts like coupons for miners, some special conditions to try new services, free tokens, discounts for icos etc.

If you find this idea interesting, please write down which gifts you would like to see in it.

Or do you think this Calendar considering current crypto environment fated to consist of just shitty ads?

[edited]

- price up to 50 USD (better to sell for crypto).
- Gifts: physical stuff like coins and crypto memorabilia + coupons, discounts + bitcointalk Rank pins like Hero member, Legendary etc Smiley
- How to sell: bitcointalk with Pre-order.
