Since I only want to call scam when I am thoroughly sure, the pure incompetence and lack of care exercised by Bter and Poloniex for the Qora community is outright unbelievable. I will only speak of my issues, and if any other users or coins for that matter are experiencing the same issues please feel free to piggy back on to this thread and don't forget to share on your coins thread. Additionally, I would like to say that up to this point I have never had any issues with either exchange for over 1 1/2 years.

Bter Scammers? - look, we all know Bter has been hacked a few times, but it has appeared they have made attempts to reconcile with the respective coins and their users. With that said, after many trades, I have hit a wall with Bter and they are either incompetent or selectively unable to amend my issue.

Over 4 weeks ago, I deposited over 40,000,000 million to Bter to trade in hopes of increasing my stack. Well, needless to say, I have yet to see my balance credit.

However, here's the kicker, the deposit address they provided is active and forging blocks. (Qora is a Proof of Stake Coin - so active addresses forge coins if you were unaware). After 24 hours of seeing no update to my balance, I contacted Bter Support. Of course I received the typical canned support response. I waited a day or two and asked them what the issue was. Bter stated the Qora wallet was having issues and they were in contact with the Qora Dev's. Not the most technical response, but I took it as face value and then asked the Qora Development Team if they were aware of any issues Bter was having and if/when the issues would be resolved.

Qora developers responded that they were unaware of any issues and had not been contacted by Bter. Strike 1, Bter is lying to customers.

I then asked other users of our community if they were having issues with Bter Qora deposits/withdrawals and many users had expressed their frustration with Bter as they also had deposits/withdrawals frozen and for a much longer time than myself. Strike 2

4 weeks have passed and Bter at this point does not even respond or acknowledge my emails, nor provide any type of an update. They are just MIA. Strike 3.

They have our coins, continue to forge blocks with user funds and appear to be doing absolutely nothing about fixing their issues.

I mention Poloniex is this tread as well as we are having the same exact issues with them as Bter. Same support issues and responses. Wallet is having issues, we'll credit your account when fix. All the while nothing changes and any opportunities that existed in trading have all but gone. Polo has fixed their issues and redeemed themselves.

So, if you are a Qora user or any other coin that is having issues as a whole for more than a couple of weeks, please reply to this thread with your transactions/issues so we can see the full extent and financial impact of such bad exchanges.
