Cheesy
2  Local / Português (Portuguese) / Coinbase Earn on: December 30, 2020, 04:28:05 PM

**
Live in a country eligible for Coinbase Earn. Eligible countries are:
Austria, Australia, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Croatia, Cypress, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, The Netherlands, Norway, New Zealand, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Senegal, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, The United Kingdom, and the United States. We are working hard to add more eligible countries soon
3  Local / Português (Portuguese) / Promoção da CoinMarketCap on: November 20, 2020, 09:10:05 PM
Já viram a promoção da CoinmarketCap, "When Will Bitcoin Hit $20,000? Make a Prediction - $10,000 in BTC to Be Won!"?

7. All users who predict correctly will be ranked based on the time they entered the time slots — which means you should start predicting right away! The reward structures are as follows:
1st place: $2,000 in BTC
2nd place: $1,500 in BTC
3rd place: $1,000 in BTC
All the other users who entered the winning time slot will share $5,500 in BTC evenly.

Grin

5  Economy / Gambling discussion / Free Betting Competition $6000 in Prizes Sponsor: Betking.io (Rules Thread) on: October 03, 2018, 07:38:12 PM

We will be keeping the complete list of rules, as well as other important information related to the Free Betting Competition in this thread.

Each day we will award points to the players with the most daily ROI. The better you do compared to the other players, the more points you will get and the more prizes you will win. You can even participate in the competition with up to 3 entries at the same time, which you can use to try out different tactics and different starting bankrolls (higher starting bankrolls give you double or even triple the normal prizes).

6  Local / Português (Portuguese) / Alguém que esteja sem campanha me quer ajudar a testar umas assinaturas? on: August 06, 2018, 11:10:17 PM

Shameless self-promotion to follow... Smiley

7  Local / Criptomoedas Alternativas / Sobre a aba das "Criptomoedas Alternativas"... on: June 03, 2018, 04:07:37 PM

8  Local / Criptomoedas Alternativas / Para quem ainda tiver EOS na ForkDelta / EtherDelta ... on: May 30, 2018, 05:35:35 PM

10  Economy / Digital goods / How much would a simple website cost? on: January 28, 2016, 11:45:13 PM
I'm not sure this is the best/right sub-forum for this question, but anyway: how much would a simple website cost? A friend of mine will possibly end up having one made for a project of his, and would like to have an idea of the prices being asked. The website itself would likely be very simple, with no more than 5 or 6 pages (home; about; a page to hold/show photos; and little more), and a menu to navigate between them - no login, database, or anything else, really.

Thanks.

"An internal JPMorgan memo reveals that the lender plans to invest $9 billion in technology like robotics and the blockchain, according to Business Insider, which claims to have seen the memo. Of course, the general idea is still "use the blockchain and get rid of bitcoin", if they can't control it.

Update on Prizes
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1256522.msg42679054#msg42679054

Important Update

Hello everyone, sorry for the late update, but as u9y42 pointed out, I was away most of the day.

As promised I would like to announce that our Tipster Championship is back, and our new sponsor is BetKing.io!

We will try to go live on the 1st August, just in time for the start of the major European Football Leagues, so that you don't miss good betting opportunities, while at the same time get the chance to win some great prizes, making your betting experience much better!

As for the competition format, things are almost all decided, but as usual we listen, so feel free to make suggestions and if we can we will add them. If we can't add them for this first opening edition, we will try to do it on the next one if possible.

We will make an official announcement with all the rules, but right now this is our plan:

- Betting bankroll of $50 (Bitcoin equivalent)
- Valid bets will need to have a stake of at least 1% of current bankroll, and will have a max of 5% (of course tat if they are above 5%, you will still get paid, but wins will only be calculated for the leaderboard as if they were made with a 5% stake)
- We will consider daily ROI% and award competition points based on that value.

We will have 3 different formats, so that everyone can get something out of our competition:

- Daily Challenges: Like the ones we had before. We will give you a Betting Challenge and the winner will get a daily prize based on that.

- Weekly Competition: As said before our daily ROI% will award you points. At the end of the week, the players with more points will get their prizes. Points will reset every week for this weekly format, so that everyone has a chance to win these prizes as well.

- Monthly Competition: Although we will give most of the prizes on our Weekly Format, we still want to reward those that are able to make good bets during the entire month. For the Monthly Format, we will not reset the points, and at the end of the month we will award prizes for a small number of players. Our Tipster Kings for the month!

We want to keep everyone engaged in our new Tipster Championship!!!
So with these three options:
- You will be making your normal bets while winning fast daily prizes!
- If you have a good week, you will get even more rewards. If that week wasn't so good, don't worry, because you will have a chance to start all over again on the next week, since we reset weekly points!
- If you are that good, and keep getting good results week after week, we will be noticing and you will get more prizes at the end of the month!

So no matter what happens, you will always have chances to win prizes while you are doing what you like, that is betting!
I think it's hard to beat this, but as I said before, please make suggestions if you have them.

More news about how to register will come soon, as well as the official rules and prizes for our competition.
Stay tuned!

13  Other / Meta / Promoting Competition in Gambling on: November 20, 2015, 12:35:45 AM
I have been helping FrueGreads run a tipster competition in the forum, and was wondering if it would be appropriate to create a thread in Gambling to promote it, and perhaps, keep a discussion going on about it there, with tactics the participants can use, correct bank management, and so on. The main competition thread is currently in Games and Rounds (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1159253).
14  Other / Politics & Society / Robot wars: Japan agrees to fight America in giant "Battlebots" duel on: July 11, 2015, 03:35:23 PM
Last month, the American robot maker company MegaBots challenged the Japanese Suidobashi Heavy Industry to a giant robot duel - which the Japanese company accepted a few days ago, though, instead of a gun battle, the CEO of the Japanese company proposed: "If we’re gonna win this, I want to punch them and scrap them down to do it". Smiley

The original Kuratas video: https://youtu.be/29MD29ekoKI
The challenge: https://youtu.be/XVJTGLL2SnI - "Suidobashi, we have a giant robot. You have a giant robot. You know what needs to happen: We challenge you to a duel."
The answer: https://youtu.be/7u8mheM2Hrg - "My reaction? Come on guys, make it cooler," he said. "Just building something huge and sticking guns on it. It’s … super American."

So, who is going to win this battle? America? Japan? Or will they both collapse into worthless piles of metal before the fight? Tongue
15  Other / Politics & Society / Brothel Offers Free Sex To Protest High Taxes on: June 23, 2015, 05:51:32 PM
A brothel in Salzburg, Austria, is offering free entrance, drinks and sex this summer, as a way to protest what the owner sees as being high taxes.

So, how many of you are going to spend your vacations in Salzburg, Austria, this summer? Cheesy
16  Economy / Currency exchange / [WTS] small amount of BTC for Neteller [CLOSED] on: December 23, 2014, 04:12:44 PM
I need to buy something with Neteller, but I'm a little short. So, I would like to sell 0.01 btc for $3.3 Neteller, or equivalent in € (rate used is the current $330 per btc from BTC-e). Please post in this thread if you are interested.

PS: I'm not sure if there is a minimum amount for sending money with Neteller - if there is, and it is higher than the $3.3 I mentioned, do let me know and I'll send the appropriate amount in btc.
17  Economy / Currency exchange / [WTS] BTC via Neteller [CLOSED] on: November 04, 2014, 05:18:50 PM
I am looking to sell 0.15 BTC at current Bitstamp rate. Given that Neteller transactions are easily reversible (as far as I know), I would prefer to trade with an user with very good feedback (and at least a Full/Senior Member).

Also, if anyone is willing to act as escrow for this, let me know - thanks.

EDIT: Trade completed elsewhere.
18  Other / Politics & Society / 3D-printed huts to revolutionize home building in poor countries on: October 19, 2014, 06:44:35 PM
An Italian company has developed a 3d printer to build mud houses, that can be easily transported and assembled; plus, it can use a variety of mud or clays as building materials. They will apparently be putting it to the test early next year.

19  Economy / Games and rounds / Untold Universe Alpha Keys Giveaway on: September 07, 2014, 04:27:29 AM
The guys developing the game Untold Universe are giving away alpha keys. The game itself is similar to Minecraft, but it allows players to build their own spaceships and travel between planets. Grin

Get your alpha keys while they last: https://www.untold-universe.com/forums/general/topics/alpha-keys-giveaway-official-thread.

A few screenshots from the game (probably not all completely implemented yet at this stage):

PS: By the way, I don't know if this is the right section to post this; so let me know if it isn't. Tongue
20  Other / Politics & Society / 3D printer to be sent to the ISS in August on: June 14, 2014, 08:34:34 PM
It will still undergo a few more tests aboard the space station, after which a permanent printer will be installed up there.

By the way, I want one too; this plus blender would be very cool. Anyone with a 3d printer want to print its components and ship them to me? Grin

http://rt.com/news/165840-3d-printer-manufacturing-space/

Quote
3D printers use a unique technique called extrusion additive manufacturing, which builds objects layer by layer out of polymers, metals, and other raw materials. The technology means objects can actually be manufactured in space, meaning the need to launch components from Earth would be much reduced – making space exploration much cheaper and more efficient.
