We describe a protocol that facilitates low friction peer-to-peer exchange of ERC20 tokens on the
Ethereum blockchain. The protocol is intended to serve as an open standard and common building
block, driving interoperability among decentralized applications (dApps) that incorporate exchange
functionality. Trades are executed by a system of Ethereum smart contracts that are publicly accessible,
free to use and that any dApp can hook into. DApps built on top of the protocol can access
public liquidity pools or create their own liquidity pool and charge transaction fees on the resulting
volume. The protocol is unopinionated: it does not impose costs on its users or arbitrarily extract
value from one group of users to benefit another. Decentralized governance is used to continuously
and securely integrate updates into the base protocol without disrupting dApps or end users.

UNSERE VISION

Die Entwicklung des Ethereumprotokolls hat neue Türen für das Experimentieren mit dezentralisierten organisatorischen Strukturen und der Verteilung von Steuerungsrechten an die Teilnehmer des Netzwerkes geöffnet. Projekte wie Aragon, Boardroom, Colony, und Giveth arbeiten alle aktiv um die Kräfte von Ethereum zu nutzen und nutzbar zu machen, indem sie Plattformen errichten, die es nichttechnischen Nutzern erlauben, dezentralisierte Organisationen zu bilden und zu administrieren. Das district0x-Netzwerk bemüht sich, Heimat einer breiten Palette von dezentralisierten Märkten und Gemeinschaften zu werden, die alle von Inhabern der DNT-Token verwaltet werden. In Einklang mit dieser Vision wurde d0xINFRA als ein offenes und ausbaufähiges, modaleres System gestaltet, welches es Distrikten erlaubt, einzigartige Features und erweiterte Funktionalität durch den Einsatz von Zusatzmodulen zu entwickeln.

Zusätzlich zu dem im Jahre 2017 gestarteten Ethlance, planen wir zwei weitere Distrikte. Das zweite wird Meme Factory, welches es Nutzern erlaubt, ihre eigenen, nachweisbar raren “tokenized memes” zu erstellen, die mit sofortiger Wirkung auf einen Marktplatz nach Bulletin Board-Style gestellt werden können um sie zu tauschen oder zu verkaufen.

Beiträge werden mit district0x network tokens (DNT) belohnt, welche es Tokeninhabern erlaubt, Walhlrechte auf Districtvorschläge auszuüben, sowie an der Entscheidungsfindung innerhalb bestimmter Distrikte teilzuhaben. Please note:

You should be really careful about making a thread for signed Bitcoin messages. If you don't make them specific enough, you could end up making an easy thread for scammers to find sources for BTC identity theft.

If you sign a message that says, "I am the owner of this account" for example, someone can just copy and paste that message and use it. That said, hopefully people are smart enough to ask for a specific signed message asking for "I am the owner of this account *insert date and time*" but still.

There are currently 65214 Unconfirmed Transactions on the Bitcoin network at time of posting.

What does that imply? Is this good? I have a transaction of 0.01 BTC that has been stuck for almost 24 hours despite a high fee. Do we have too many unconfirmed transactions on the network?

Do you remember what it felt like the very first time you sent out a Bitcoin transaction to another address in your life? For some, it might have been an easy thing to do, especially for the geeks who were here when Bitcoin was born and it had not been valued and traded against fiat currency as following soon after, yet for others it can be very confusing to get things right.

Were you filled more with happiness, excitement or fear when you clicked that 'send' button? And in which year was it when that happened? Did it it turn out just fine, did your transaction arrive where intended?

What would you personally consider to be the most user friendly, easy to use wallet for mobile platforms as of now, that is actually working and used to transfer funds as we speak? It is very important that it features cross-platform support and can easily be operated by just about anyone that has access to a smartphone. I believe this is certainly something that is very much required for easier adoption amongst people that have not yet discovered their interest in crypto, and peer to peer transactions in particular.

In China people actually use WeChat not only to chat but to (among other features) transfer money to other contacts. Last time I checked, WeChat did not charge a fee for transferring funds (and it is capped at 20000 RMB a day afaik). This integrated feature is something people like to use, yet needless to say its underlying architecture is not related to cryptocurrency but works by transferring funds from one's bank card into the app's "wallet". It does require the ID, full name, as well as phone number registered in the bank.

Apps that have grown to such gigantic dimensions as WeChat (approx 800 million active users) really can help cryptocurrency adoption on a large scale. They might be (one of) the most essential tools to really foster adoption. On Chinese New Year, which happens to be at this time of the year, Bitcoin enthusiasts in China actually exchange millions worth of Bitcoin via the mobile wallet of beijing-based exchange OKCoin and their WeChat accounts.

Could it be popular apps such as these that are the key to widespread use? It gives people a chance to get to know this technology in a practical and useful way. It also helps to demolish the barriers which exist at present. Most people just can't and won't dig deep into the technology behind all this -- they just want to send funds around, easily and effectively. Once they get to know the advantages of cryptocurrency technology through practical use, they might very well get to know features that go beyond mere peer to peer transaction capabilities, ie. digital signatures etc
