Bitcoin / Hardware / Swapping Blades on S9 miners
|
on: July 11, 2017, 09:41:14 PM
|
Evening,
I have two s9 miners. One has socket connection fail, connection refused issues and the other one's blades are slowly dying. Had a power failure and the middle blade died, and now the next blade is starting to go. They are batch 13 and batch 20. Can I take the blades from one and stick them in the other with no problems. The batch 20 machine is the one having the socket connection fail issues.
Thanks in advance.

What has been people's experience with this process? Has anyone just sent their machine to Colorado? Who did you send it through, UPS, USPS, FEDEX? How much was shipping? Thanks in advance for your response. I'm going to get it out this weekend.

Bitcoin / Mining support / Converting a 50 amp 240V line for mining questions
|

Good Morning,
I have an electric dryer line that I don't use. It currently has a 50 Amp breaker on it. I know I can rewire the breaker to an outlet, but should I replace the 50 amp breaker with a smaller breaker? I have a 20 A Tripplite PDU. Thanks in advance.

I want to understand the flow transaction.
Ex.
When I input a bitcoin address into the website, the page has transactions coming in and going out. I recognize the transaction coming(mining operation), but I don't recognize the outgoing transaction.....
I'm just curious if there is a version for dummies.

Bitcoin / Mining support / Corsair HX750 running 3 Antminer Blades = 1.5 S1s

I'm curious if I could run 3 blades or 1.5 S1s off of this PSU. Push comes to shove I will just get another PSU big enough to power 2 S1s. Curious about your thoughts on this, and could it be done with cause for concern. If my numbers are right, that would be around 600 to 650 W from the 3 blades.

Bitcoin / Mining support / Asic Mining and Internet speeds

Good Morning,
I am currently mining around 590G out of my house. I am using ATT Uverse as my internet provider. Does anyone else have connection issues to different website? Is their something that can be done? For instance, some websites work and others don't. Some of the websites I go to partially come up. Is my mining affecting my internet connection and websites that I visit?
Thanks in advance.

Bitcoin / Mining support / Multiple miner, multiple pools
|
on: January 20, 2014, 11:42:18 AM

Morning
I was just curious. Does anyone have multiple miners and multiple pools? Reason why I asked, my back up pool is about double the size of my primary pool. So of course my backup pool finds more blocks than my primary pool. I'm getting another miner, and curious about placing my back up pool as my primary on this miner. What are your thoughts? Thanks.

I'm looking for PSU, and I'm pretty much convinced I'm going with Corsair. I have a question about the 2 different model lines. You have a RM and CS line. Between the two, which one is better. Granted it's only a $10 difference. I'm just curious is their anything else? Thanks in advance.

Other / Beginners & Help / I have two questions, looking for answers
|
on: December 29, 2013, 03:38:16 PM

I have two questions: one around power options and the other is around buying bitcoins to buy miner machines.
First with the power options:
I am looking at alternative power sources for the miner. Has anyone had any success with either solar panels or wind turbines?
Second with buying mining machines. I've noticed a couple of mining machines companies only accept btc for their equipment. What is the best way to get btcs to make these purchases? I have coinbase now, and I plan on using them to acquire btcs. Is there another cheaper option than coinbase?
Thank you in advance

Good Morning,
I just wanted to say hi and get my post in here. Been mining for a couple of weeks and I like what I'm seeing. Getting ready to make a move on some more hashing power. We'll see. I currently have a small mining operation and recognize that I need more power. One question I do have, how much hashing power can go into a US home before you start having electrical problems?
Thanks in advance.
