1  Bitcoin / Project Development / Testnet BTC for binary options on: May 01, 2023, 06:19:32 PM
I'm helping develop an onchain binary options system, basically UTXO based defi more or less and am looking for a chunk of testnet BTC to help develop the platform.

Roughly 2-300 should do the trick.

If anyone wants to help a brother out mzgBBeqZvZgJbMxtfvGUBgF8WdSxiJjMt4

Am also happy to tip some USDT or BTC for that size chunk in which case hit me up in DMs with tx ids and a message signed from the sending address.

If anyone is interested in what it is we are building, it's just about to go into Alpha and you're welcome on the Discord https://discord.gg/6zw5jHyShK

3  Economy / Micro Earnings / How I'm currently growing my faucet earnings. on: December 25, 2018, 06:17:38 PM
I haven't said much in microearnings for a while but here goes:

I've spent a stupid amount of time on faucets  Grin So what do I do with the earnings from that, well there are various options gamble, trade or buy into MN/POS coins.

Currently I'm sticking most of my earnings on to Cryptobridge and buying the fastest ROI listed coins hosted on CHT in "Instant" masternodes. The instant part is when the coin developer provides the coins for the first MN and all the other smaller contributions earn proportional rewards from that. So your coins start earning the second they validate on CHT.

I stay in the coins for very short periods 1-2 weeks sometimes even less for a quick in and out and have all my rewards sent directly to an exchange address once I start cashing out.

Sure some of these coins turn Exit scam etc but if you get in and out fast enough.....  Grin

Once a coin starts having been around for a while on there I look a bit closer at it and if I like what I see (no spam in their discord/answers to questions/no one banning peeps for asking difficult questions on their discord/ a solid white paper/ etc) I will open a smaller long term position in it.

I also mine a fair bit and comparing this to mining, about 2 hours a day in spread out 20min chunks earns about as much as 16 1060 6Gb cranking away at RVN sure it's not going to get you rich quickly but it all helps.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / What's going on with XVG today? on: April 03, 2018, 02:39:58 PM
According to Cryptowat.ch Verge has spiked over 30% today.

Anyone know what's up with XVG?

An exchange hack/bug?

Something that has somehow managed to evade my radar as I can't find any juicy news about XVG.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Looking for mobo with pice slots. routed to USB connectors. on: January 21, 2018, 12:58:14 PM
I can't remember which thread I saw it in but I've seen several posts of a mobo with pice lanes routed to USB ports. Does anyone have have a link to where those can be found?

There is the Colourful B250 with 6 of 12 prerouted to USB 3.0 ports however, unless my memory is totally gone there was an 8 GPU one from another manufacturer with 1 pcie 3.0x16 on the mobo and 7 routed to USB ports.
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Can't dump private keys or wallet in core on: January 17, 2018, 02:25:00 PM

I find an old unencrypted (the wife's laptop) backup wallet 2011-2012 from the wife's laptop.

I install Core v0.15.0.1 and open it as normal. (The chain hasn't finished downloading yet)

I try to dump the wallet and keys from the console and get the following errors:

dumpwallet with the appropriate string etc:

Cannot open wallet dump file (code -8)

Exporting individual private keys produces:

Private key for address XYZ is not known (code -4)

Is this some kind of comparability issue where I need to use an older version of core/qt or?Huh
7  Bitcoin / Electrum / Getting electron unstuck from synching. on: January 16, 2018, 11:05:45 AM
I'm trying to figure out the max possible number of private keys into electron to claim BCC.
I dumped 3 old qt wallets (yes, I know that's an absurd number of addresses) with a fair amount of dust and imported them and have had electron stuck synching for 4 days now. Restarting it seems to kick it briefly but then it freezes again. To be fair some of those wallets are very old with a fairly long history.

I also tried on another box with just the keys from a single wallet and the process is identical Sad

In both cases, I am connected to 10 nodes.
8  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Looking for decent guides on how to open Segwit compliant wallets. on: January 15, 2018, 10:12:11 AM
The topic really says it all.
I'm looking for a decent guide/guides to making electrum/core segwit compliant.
I'd be happy to contribute a couple of translations (Chinese, Malay and Danish) to where ever the guides are posted.
9  Economy / Exchanges / Are there any exchanges that allos for the importation of private keys. on: January 08, 2018, 05:10:52 PM
Hi there,

Given the mad fees on the network at the moment, are there any exchanges that offer the option to import private keys rather than using the network?
10  Economy / Micro Earnings / Issue with coinpot payouts on: January 04, 2018, 03:41:36 AM
Coinpot have to date processed all my withdrawals etc on time and have done so in this case but unfortunately it looks like coinpot are having issues with payouts.

Initial payout on the 2nd which blocktrail calls a double spend:

https://www.blocktrail.com/BTC/tx/39f3a2c11d0df67cbc0d93ec641765ae6e3569cc2cf5c699c74e1672b6421fc2

However the second trasaction does not look like fee replacement by the op:

https://www.blocktrail.com/BTC/tx/49bc4f8d0e08520d571a16010d36f327d993dfbd81de364fffc2f08f1823cc79#tx_messages

Does anyone happen to know if this is an old school double spend or some fee opt in function that just shows up as weird on blocktrail?

Being cheap when running a microwallet is fine and understandable but being so cheap that stuff like this happens is getting pretty close to the absurd  Angry
11  Other / Meta / Possible sticky for the scam accusations board? on: October 09, 2012, 05:46:50 PM
Given that the scam accusations board seems to be really busy.

Would it be possible to get a sticky at the top of the scam accusations board with guidelines on what and how to post?

For example: unresolved customer service issues wait whatever is appropriate time.
Standards of evidence to post: Like screen shots/ quoted PMs etc
Mod to PM concerning scammer investigations and so on.

12  Other / Meta / Proposed removal of Matthew N Wright from forum staff. on: August 12, 2012, 02:17:09 PM
In light of Matthew's blatant dishonesty outlined in post https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=84042.1680 and his no comment stance on his relationship with Jonathan Ryan Owens who has left a large amount of GLBSE customers in a lurch I move that admin remove him form the staff rota until such time as that mess is cleared up one way or the other.

Anyone want to bet on how long that couple of weeks lasts?
14  Economy / Trading Discussion / Dirty LR exchanger on: June 06, 2012, 11:25:59 AM
Just a quick FYI to anyone thinking of buying LR in China.

Stay well away from www.paysgold.com

http://anubis.iseclab.org/?action=result&task_id=13975cd8c1d15a1640d3aa8c16439c41f&format=html

Atm the safest bet for LR in China seems to be taobao.com vendors. As they at least don't dump shitty malware onto you comp.

Selling @ 150 USD or btc equivalent + shipping worldwide from China PM for quotes (I'm open to offers if you're buying multiples). As these are heavy I am also working on slower freight options than standard courier companies for example DHL sea-air combos this is however slightly slower but much less expensive.

Customs your end are 100% your own responsibility, though I can accommodate requests for having products marked as samples/for repair or something similar however please note that in my experience customs aren't likely to accept "commercial samples" shipped to a private individual.

DECENT OTC RATINGS or ESCROW REQUIRED. Payments due upon me forwarding shipping documents

18  Economy / Services / Chinese Ebay shopping, a taobao.com proxy. on: February 19, 2012, 12:37:01 PM
Ok here goes:

I'm atm in Dalian in Norhtern China and have been here for quite some time (eight years now).

The service I'm offering is quite simple. I'll purchase and ship any item listed on http://taobao.com and ship it to you. This service falls into two categories:

1) Smaller items such as pci-e extenders 2 system KVMs (these are btw dirt cheap from here) etc. You PM me the URL of the item you want on taobao and I'll quote you a btc price including shipping and shipping options.

2) Larger ticket items such as cases (INWIN dragonriders for around 120USD) cheap PSUs 1-7 pci-e splitters etc. PM me the url of the item you want I will quote you a btc price and prices for shipping options.
Upon acceptance of a quote I'll have it shipped to me personally and test it (nobody wants to deal with international returns, me least of all and this is China) I have test benches etc for checking that pc/server components are in working order. This I will charge a service fee for of 5-10 btc (could potentially be higher) depending on both the btc price, the number of items and the amount of work involved in testing them. I'll include this in the pricing quote. Then it will go out from here direct to you wherever you are.

NOTE for all items: Customs your end is 100% your responsibility. Payment is due upon me forwarding shipping documents or tracking numbers etc to you via email. Some otc ratings or similar verification required.

NOTE for category 2 items: This is the only way I'll deal with items worth more than say 50USD barring possibly cases. As this is China and there is junk around and I don't want to ship it.

MY otc ratings: http://bitcoin-otc.com/viewratingdetail.php?nick=Bigpiggy01Mining

I have successfully shipped product from here to Goat and Netxshare in both cases pci-e extenders.
