2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Sapien Bounty Campaign - Odd Behaviour From TokenSuite on: February 22, 2018, 05:50:28 AM
It was stated in the official Sapien announcement thread that the Bounty campaign would last for 6 weeks beginning from January 8 - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2710218.0

Before this 6 weeks elapsed beginning around February 10, most of the submission links for the campaign were closed, including the article campaign with no explanation in the bounty thread as to why. Many people asked why but we received no response. I PMed the OP and was told to send my article and ETH address via PM, which I did, but with no guarantee of inclusion. I haven't heard back after my PM and I'm still not included in the spreadsheet. I can appreciate if my article was rejected, but it's not. There is no "accepted" or "rejected" in the spreadsheet as I'm not even listed there. I know it wouldn't be rejected though since it's a high quality article.

Here's the thing: it was specifically stated the campaign would last for 6 weeks, and until now the OP of the bounty has NOT stated why the submission links were closed early before these 6 weeks. I spent a few days writing my article for this campaign which was published on February 11, only for there to be no possibility to submit it anywhere.

This is odd behavior for the TokenSuite bounty team. Why would they do this and restrict one of their client projects from gaining the maximum possible exposure that they could? Is this a common theme with TokenSuite bounties in that they unpredictably restrict exposure for their bounty campaigns before the advertised bounty expiry? Hopefully by creating this post I can finally get an answer as to why the submission links for the Sapien bounty campaign were closed before the advertised 6 weeks.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Investment strategy question: Bag transfer on: February 20, 2018, 03:00:19 PM
There's a common and good theme in crypto and investment: buy low, sell high. If you haven't recouped your losses and have heavy bags, then don't sell at a loss.  For those that follow this strategy, I have a question.

Let's say you invest in a shitcoin that tanks, and it loses 50% value. You research and find another coin that looks slightly more promising that also tanked by a comparable amount recently. If you were to sell at a loss in the shitcoin, and buy into the new coin at a discount (again, assume both have tanked equally in the same timeframe) would this be breaking the "buy low, sell high" rule? Since technically you'd just be transferring the same value to another project in the same situation but with perhaps better potential to return to its previous levels.
4  Other / Beginners & Help / Is sending coins from exchange wallet pseudo-anonymous? on: February 12, 2018, 04:33:29 AM
I notice when sending coins for  a currency such as ETH from an exchange such as Binance, Bittrex, Bitfinex etc that the coins are sent from the exchanges wallet and not your personal receiving wallet on the site. Does this mean you can send coins from the exchange as a way to protect your anonymity from  simple transaction tracing? I'm not talking about anything illegal where the exchange would rightfully be subpoened and your details revealed, but just simple trading transactions where you'd rather remain anonymous to other traders?
