1  Economy / Exchanges / Using online exchanges while in New York State ( a resident) to buy altcoins on: June 15, 2016, 04:59:51 AM
I've been in crypto for a while and I never had a problem using online exchanges until last year.  Rather than go on forever about my situation I'll just put it in a nutshell. I can't use these exchanges without government issued ID proving that I'm from another state besides New York  ( I'm in the process of getting an id from another state but that takes time).

Can anybody help me with being able to use online exchanges to buy btc/altcoin while a NY resident ? I really don't like the idea of government interfering with private funds . That's one of the reasons I'm soo interested in crypto, but that's another story.  Can I use a TOR browser ? Please any suggestions would be helpful.

Sidenote. I live in Manhattan , if I go over to Jersey and try to go on the online exchanges, is that a way around the NY Resident rule ?
