So lets say there is 0.1 version coin client and window build.

After, I revised sourcecode a little(delete some lines at main.cpp about genesis block) and some icons, and make 0.1.1 version.

And made 0.1.1 windows build. But this window client(0.1.1) does not catching up block? Connection icon shows, but catching up block icon does not appears so (out of sync) status now, even after few minutes.

Completely new wallet (version 0.16.3) released at github! (2018-11-07)

IF you have old client (prior than 0.16.3), please follow this instruction.

You can now download the updated version of the wallet from the Github page and install it. Everybody needs to upgrade the wallet! This is a hard fork. You may need to download the blockchain again. You can delete everything except the file wallet.dat from the folder c:\users\Your username\Appdata\Roaming\Bitcoinessence and then start the new version of the wallet. This will start the download of the blockchain again. It will reject all invalid block after the attack started. I have upgraded the coin daemon on the BTE servers now. I started the reindex process for the block explorer. The mining pool operators also need to upgrade the coin daemon! The mining pool operators  need to start the coin daemon with the parameter -maxtipage=1000000000 until the first blocks have been mined. Without this parameter the coin daemon will think the block download has not been finished. Because the latest block is now 4 days old.

I know that is for client run as server mode.

Then what happen? It does not try to connect to others and only receiving request other nodes?

What if there more than 2 server mode nodes?

If I clone bitcoin source code to my ubuntu Virtual os, should I compile it on my machine again for run -qt wallet program?

or just git clone and run just -qt is enough?

I didn't know and made it same with other crypto currency, and my blockchain's clients seems divided two?

I worked at ubuntu os, made 2 os and 2 wallet, running block explorer (http://bitcoinessence.info/) there,

but after make window build, it does not sync fully with ubuntu wallets and explorer's.

window wallet says block height is 3000, but explorer says 3500.

So now in this situation, what happen I changed port number at source and what happen to balances of clients?

So I have 2 nodes, changed server mode to client mode those folder's .conf file both, server->client, client -> server

after that both wallet shows title message, [Warning: Displayed....] even after connected each other that message does not disappear, even after start mining.

Is it reverse of ip address?

So I work in windows 10 laptop, run VirtualBox, run ubuntu there, compiled my coin build,
--> node A (hard coded node B's IP address, 0xaf7e25ee (175.126.37.238))

and I used VPS, installed ubuntu16.04, there I run coin build,
--> node B (server mode on by .conf's server=1)

now I compiled window build by gitian, but when run this node, it does not sync with above node A nor B.
why and how to fix?

Now node A and B's wallet program(-qt) are running and node A is mining too.
Then, node C should connect them and updated soon? But does not sync even after hours.

Lets say here is first started bitcoin client, name A.

So there was hard-coded ip address for let initially started node know where to connect to first peer,

now it seems moved to website? (dnsseeds.xxxxxx.xxx?)
Anyway then, after connect to that seeds, how A acquire other nearest nodes to connect? and these peer info (IP address?) preserved to local datadir?

And at next running after acquire that info, A directly first try connect to that nearest peer? not hard-coded dns or ip address info?

Bitcoin is constantly updated, so client also changed.

So lets say there 5 nodes,

A is version 0.1

B is version 0.11

C is version 0.15

D is version 0.16 but changed by local person without bad intention but just small test

E is version 0.16 but changed by local person with bad intention for his profit


So how each nodes can detect D and E and deny them?

What changes is reason for denial? Every change even tiny one like image modification or just add comment to script is also be recognized by other nodes for different revised node?

Then, how A, B, C each other recognize each others are legitimate updated nodes by official?

I need it for compile windows build from gitian.

But I can't get it from googling.
