2  Bitcoin / Press / [2019-12-03] Bitfinex ENABLED the Lighning Network on their platform on: December 03, 2019, 12:11:43 PM

Boom. The first major exchange to go live with Lightning is @bitfinex. The plan is unfolding...

LN adoption is rising. This is the kind of news I'd like to see more. When LN gets big, a few more exchanges follow finex, none of the shitcoins will survive.

edit: It is LIVE now.

3  Other / Politics & Society / People are burning the banks in Iran right now on: November 17, 2019, 07:28:00 AM
...Protests and clashes with police began Friday when petrol prices suddenly rose by at least 50% after government subsidies on it were slashed. Government statements said the plan is to divert the funds in order to make cash payments to low-income households...

There are also reports that protesters have begun targeting banks, after video was posted online of what appears to show the Central Bank In Behbahan, Iran being engulfed in flames as demonstrators chant...

Early report about middle class and upper class protesting in Tehran Pars is now confirmed. People are on t he streets chanting “down with the dictator” and burning Sina Bank.

Quite interesting they target the banks. It is like They exactly know who is responsible for their misery and suffering. I am not a fan of Islam for other reasons but maybe they were right for being against the interest scam. You will probably counter this with "we use interest because time has value" and i'll counter you with this: "gold is timeless."
4  Economy / Trading Discussion / [HODL] My shitcoin fund Aim is x100 minimum on: February 04, 2019, 04:49:35 PM
Just created myself a $100 shitcoin fund on binance.

I chose the most shittiest of shitcoins which are down %95+ from their ATH price and some arguably good ones. Let's see how much I am able to rip others off. Unless I see a parabolic rise I won't sell any of these. And If I see all going ballistic, that means the bull has come.

Chose 8 coins and put $10 on each. Actually put $10 on 7 of them but then I couldn't find a shittycoin with an incredibly high supply so I put the rest on BTT. Justin Sun's newest scam.

Q: Why haven't I bought shits like ETH, BSV, BCASH, IOTA, *XRP?
A: Even when I am shopping for shit, I try to buy them cheap. Those shits are still overpriced so I ignored them.

*Bought XRP at first but then I realized the mistake so I dumped it and got VET instead.

6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Lightning Mainnet Wallet released for Android Phones on: April 04, 2018, 06:31:35 PM
Didn't test myself since i am an IOS guy but congrats to Android users.

No full nodes needed to open channels. This will take Bitcoin to VISA/MC levels in terms of usability. Altcoins will take a lot damage too.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Mining Rig review is needed on: February 18, 2018, 01:53:05 PM
I am about to put together a hybrid GPU&HDD&CPU mining rig.

Bought these already:

x1 Corsair Vengeance DDR4 2400mhz 8gb- $120
x1 Intel Pentium G4400 3.3GHz 3Mb- $60 *** Got an Intel i5 6402p on my other PC, might use it as well for CPU mining.
x1 Intel Pentium G4600- $85
x3 Seagate Backup Plus 8tb External USB3.0 HDD- $200/piece
x1 Gigabyte GA-H110-D3A Intel 1151Pin DDR4 Vga USb3.0  Motherboard- $125
x1 EVGA Nvidia Gtx 1070 GPU- $850
x1 HighPower 80+ 700w PSU- $75 *Not going to use this, will keep as a backup or maybe will do another rig*
x1 Cooler Master V1200 80PLUS PLATINUM PSU- $338
x1 M.2 128gb SSD- $60
X5 Arctic F12 Cooling Fan -v$35
x1 Wattmeter- $19
x6 7th Gen Risers- $8/piece
x1 Homemade 6GPU Rig Cage- $10
x1 Linux Ubuntu or Win10- Free
Total Spent: $1890 $1905 $2365.

My thoughts;

I'll probably end up with 7- 8tb HDD's. Since they all got their own adapter. No problems here.

I bought the 6 slot mobo because i though i might wanna extend my rig to 6GPUs in the future so mobo is OK for its price too. I lost around $60 for not going with the cheaper 3PCI-e one here. Ram and CPU are ok too, i'll probably use my other i5 CPU because it's a better monero miner.

Bought only 1 GPU. I didn't want to gather 6 1080ti's  all at once because It would be a stupid thing to do since I am a newbie miner.

And From what i see, gtx1070 is one of the most efficient GPU's out there. (I probably overpaid for it but trust me that's the best price for a nVidia gtx 1070 in where i live. So price of the GPU is not questionable.) It mines many algos, it can be underclocked, overclocked whatever. So started with buying one of these. I also know that nvidia is about to release 20xx series miners (I mean GPU's xd) soon so I don't want to over invest in outdated GPU's.

I'll probably go with win10 since I want to mine Burst with my HDD's while I mine using Nicehash with my GPU. Might try Ubuntu if i get bad results.

What i'm not comfortable with is the PSU. It is super cheap for its price and the manual says its %80+ efficient under %50 load. Since I own only 1 gpu for now, I believe I'll benefit from that feature. But, if I decide to get another one, would it create a problem? Should I send it back and go for a bigger&better one (like 80+ gold PSU) so I can be ready for the upcoming GPU's like my mobo did? Or Should I just add another 1000w PSU and go with 2 different PSU's when I decide to add more GPU's? I can't decide on that one. Since It looks good for its price I want to keep it but still can't decide.

*Dumping away the HighPower, got myself a Cooler Master.
Help me out!

9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Need urgent help on: February 17, 2018, 08:56:30 PM
Made a stupid mistake I guess. I forgot that i was on bitcoin 0.16 rc3 wallet and moved my coins from my former address to an address created by 0.16 rc3 core wallet. The problem is i dumped my private key of my new segwit address which was generated by rc3 wallet which starts with 3... when i import this private key to somewhere else, i get another receiving address which starts with 1. And my tx is not going there. It currently has 1 confirmation to the address which starts with 3...

I can see my segwit address as a receiving address in my core wallet but the private key it gives mewhen i use dumprivkey 3... belongs to some other wallet which starts with 1....

Am i fucked?

btw core wallet is not fully synced. So i cant see whats happening.
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Now we understand why full-nodes are as important as hash rate on: July 22, 2017, 09:56:03 AM
If anyone had any suspicions (like me) about the power of the full validating nodes before, I think it should be clear now.

Full Node Power = Hash Power

That's why we need to stay with small blocks and don't let miners to take this power from the users. They already have the power of hash rate. They produce/manufacture their own hardware, and whether they choose to sell them or mine with that hardware themselves depending on the price/profitability. That's a huge power to start with. That's the power of market manipulation.

And on the top of that, they have the power to vote with their hash rate but it is not as powerful as they wanted it to be.

As the recent events showed us, hash power without the support of full validating nodes don't mean shit.

Long story short; If you want to have a say in the bitcoin's future you don't have to buy miners (you can but you don't have to), run your own full-node and remember, if they increase the block size, you won't be able to run one without spending 20k$ while you can do it with a RPi3 now.
11  Economy / Auctions / Auctioning 4 bitcoin related .com domains on: July 20, 2017, 09:03:48 PM

Domains are registered on namecheap. Still got more than 11 months left. Whois prot. is active.

This is not a bulk sale. Bid for each domain separately.

For ex;
Quote x.xxxbtc

Starting bid: 0BTC
Min Increment: 0.005BTC
Auction Duration: Each bid extends the auction time for 48 more hours.

Known escrows are O.K., otherwise you send first. No exceptions.
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / [Possible?] Auto shutdown the node before the laptop goes to sleep? (see inside) on: July 18, 2017, 09:29:36 PM
I recently started to run a bitcoin node on my old netbook with Linux Mint 18 OS loaded. I was running a raspberry pi3 node but I sometimes get power cuts in my area and my database gets corrupted because my little pi don't have any batteries attached on it to protect itself. (nor does the USB hub which is connected to my HDD)

On the other hand my old netbook has a battery...

Is it possible to trigger
bitcoin-cli stop
command automatically before my netbook goes into sleep mode when its battery runs low?

For example; My netbook goes into sleep mode when there is %10 of the battery juice left but I want bitcoind to shut itself down when there is %15 left so it will be a super safe shut down. No fuck ups, no conflicts...

Or, Is it necessary at all?
13  Economy / Service Discussion / Is this scam? *mybtcpool* on: July 18, 2017, 06:41:43 PM
Bitcoin Namecoin Litecoin Dogecoin Merged Mining Pool

It sells a 1tb SSD drive for 2k$. Says it has a merged mining pool for bitcoin/namecoin/litecoin/dogecoin. What does it mean? Is it Legit?

Also they sell Avalon 741's for 1.2k$.

Considering to buy one nowadays but don't want to get scammed.

I found their user acc which is never used:;u=525734
Found their official topic but it was moved and It doesn't exist there neither:
And found this topic:

Not convinced much. Any real user experience?
14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / RPi bitcoind not listening on port 8333 on: July 11, 2017, 06:49:51 PM
Can someone tell me what's wrong with my Pi3/Full Node/Ports?

I used the command "netstat -a" and  the result is above. When I check my port 8333 on It is always closed. My ports are OPEN on my router. Both for PI and my Laptop. Separately. Because they have separate IP's. Router firewall is off.

The interesting thing is; when I run my full node on my laptop, 8333 becomes OPEN. When I close the node, It becomes CLOSED again. But whatever I do it with my Pi, It stays CLOSED as always.

What's wrong with my setup?

***I always have 8 connections on my PI3 and just a mintute ago I had 9 connections but I recently opened/closed my full node on my laptop so my ports became open for a short time.
***PI downloaded 325k blocks.
***My router has no uPnP support.

17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / [Decentralized Webhosting] is it possible? on: June 13, 2017, 10:43:03 AM

I didn't understand what exactly it does but I've seen that siacoin is about decentralized file storage.

Is it possible to modify its code for decentralized webhosting? It would be da bomb.
18  Economy / Speculation / [WE DID IT! IT is 20k!!!] We are still not in a bubble! 20k$ is INCOMING! on: May 25, 2017, 01:16:44 PM

Hey yo, check this out:

We are not in a bubble unless we touch 20k$/piece in the near future!!! (like in 2-3 months) Spread the news!!

It is a healthy growth and a bull run. This also means if things get out of hand, 20k$ is near.

20  Economy / Economics / [INCOMING] New attacks on FIAT and Crypto coins from the EU on: February 10, 2017, 02:32:32 PM

Long story short, these stupid fucks messed everything so badly that they are afraid of people who might wanna withdraw all of their FIAT from the banks and the banks may not be able to carry out the orders.

So they can't do anything about the inevitable (collapse of everything), and they are desperately trying to remove cash to solve the problems.

And while doing that, they don't want you to own gold, bitcoins, diamonds neither.

oooohh please don't buy bitcoins! you will ruin us all!!
