1  Economy / Lending / [Open] 6.4 BTC loan, collateral/escrow, monthly interest, ~5 months. on: January 10, 2015, 04:21:31 PM
Amount: Total 5.7 btc loaned out - still receiving loan offer of any amount with below terms but will be uncollateralized if offered due to collaterals being 100% promised to current interested parties.

Duration: 150 days (about 5 months, can be paid back earlier depending on negotiations)

Repayment amount: Total of 30% interest + Principle. Every 30 days, I will pay out 6% interest, and principle will be fully repaid along with the last 6% interest payment after 150 days (about 5 months). 6% (every 30 days) X 5 = 30% interest for 150 days. 6.4 BTC + 1.92 BTC in 30% interest = total 8.32 btc repayment.

Essentially, 6% interest on the principle will be paid out to you every 30 days from the beginning of the loan, four times until 150 days are up (about 5 months) at which point all 6.4 btc + last 6% interest payment will be made, GMT.

Loan purpose: I am deeply involved in btc trades and also in the altcoin scene. My previous transactions in the trust category can speak for themselves.

I can provide a collateral in a different coin to cover most of the loan at the current avg monthly market price, if that would ease your concerns due to this request being a relatively large amount. Escrow will be the one we both agree on that can be trusted to hold the collateral. I would prefer to ask this public escrow to hold the collateral:

Rofo (aka Jason L. Curby profile):

https://au.linkedin.com/pub/jason-curby/27/9b8/994

https://twitter.com/NobleCoin

Not some faceless anonymous escrow on btc talk, so I would trust him personally. We can discuss it further.

Also, you can say my collateral is my reputation not only on btc talk forum trading reputation, but also my crypto reputation in general (irc, twitter, other forums etc) since people i work with know my forum handle. I would like to state this just to make clear what I am proposing.

I reserve the right to pay everything back earlier (all 30% interest + principle).

Thank you for taking time to read this request - I have posted in several threads seeking a loan for similar conditions. Anyone who comes first will have priority in terms of negotiations.

Most terms are negotiable. PM me for details on the collateral.

Thank you in advance Smiley

Update: Loan amount adjusted to reflect the recent price changes.
Update #2: More adjustments to the terms, extended time period and loan amounts.
Update #3: ducatitalia reserved 4 btc with negotiated terms.
Update #4: lihuajkl reserved 1.7 btc with negotiated terms. Collateral completely promised. OP updated. Waiting on escrow.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Surge of Legitimate, Open and Public Projects - NobleNXT Leading the Way on: December 29, 2014, 12:55:22 AM
Since December of 2013, we have seen piles of cheap scammers, pump/dumpers, fraudulent exchanges, and myriad of fake cryptocurrencies that destroyed trust in the community.

No more.

I would like to say we can find gems in the sand if you look for them. For one, Rofo (aka Jason L. Curby, developer and leader of Noblecoin) has been an honest, open developer who disclosed his identity and worked as a professional in a scene full of anonymous shadows that seem to disappear and reappear under different names for their next schemes.

Mr. Curby's twitter/linkedin/personal financial disclosures Shocked/business number in Australia:

Yes, personal financial disclosures. I suppose you can always ring up his cell phone and ask over the phone about any questions you have (note the number on the NOXT flier): https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=841741.0;all

From my point of view, this scene desperately needs a REAL, MOTIVATED people who can approach these things with necessary professionalism and serious devotion that Mr. Curby has shown throughout the whole of past year (he was essentially paying out of his own pocket for maintaining marketplace, Noblcoin itself, and others).

His most recent project, NobleNXT (NOXT), is just another testament to his professional approach to this idea. ANN here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=841741.0;all

Over half of it has been sold already though NXT and BTC on poloniex and secureae.

Whitepaper itself is over 100+ pages long Shocked encompassing understanding, planning, and vision that reaches out to realistic plans for coming (some already arrived) wave of regulations, demand for legitimacy, and official PUBLIC business approach to the potential of cryptocurrency. Legitimacy, legal issues, financial backing and proper crowdfunding along with working side by side with established financial/regulatory bodies is one of its chief goals from what I can tell - he has recently traveled to Canberra, Australia (capital of AUS) to discuss setting up think tanks for cryptocurrency itself and essentially taking a very realistic, viable approach to fighting the adoption/influence battles that honestly not many are willing to do so in person.

All feedbacks/questions and attention should be directed to Mr. Curby (Rofo). Let this thread be a public one to bring attention to this project and discuss the its merits. With so many threads out in alternative currency section discussing respective projects, there is little reason why one such thread for this professional project shouldn't exist.

Let the discussions begin Smiley
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Open discussion about trustworthy ico/crowdfunding efforts? on: December 12, 2014, 05:51:29 AM
Anyone know one that actually has a public, clear and transparent devs and their crowdfunded projects?

In the midst of all these scandals and scams, can anyone suggest a good, honest, and open project where the people involved aren't afraid to show themselves publicly as a professional would?

I do like NobleNXT (NOXT) and Noblecoin here:

The dev's twitter and public profile - Jason L. Curby from Australia:

@Noblecoin

You can also find his linkedin via google.

So far many of the scams I have seen were those who worked anonymously and only later came out (at best) or just stayed hidden all along - not sure why anyone would trust such people with thousands of their BTC.

In contrast, Jason Curby has been public since January 2014....big difference in my book.

In my humble opinion, you can't trust anyone who isn't willing to stand out professionally and actually treat crypto projects as they would treat a public start up company. As in, not hiding behind anonymity for one thing.

Let's discuss.

What do people think about this coin and its merits? Especially with the public, trustworthy developer leading the charge.

Take a read at its released whitepaper portions and tell me what you think.

NobleNXT (NOXT) founded and created by developer of Noblecoin (NOBL) who has been public and stuck around to support everything since January 2014.

5  Economy / Lending / [Matured] Medium Loan Request-10-15% Interest, 30-45 days, Collateral and Escrow on: October 31, 2014, 03:47:02 AM
Amount: Total 7.58 btc, 4.5 btc available.

Duration: 30-45 days (can be paid back earlier depending on negotiations)

Repayment amount: Principle + 10% interest (4.95 btc) again, negotiable up to 15%.

Loan purpose: I am deeply involved in btc trades and also in the altcoin scene. My previous transactions in the trust category can speak for themselves. At the moment I am building up capital for a significant investment into a proven technology and trading projects that should take off soon. Feel free to ask me any question about my past trades and purposes for this loan.

Austin previously loaned a good portion to me for the loan, and has agreed to roll over the entire amount plus interest to the current one. That portion is set aside for austin alone, you have up to 4.5 btc and corresponding collateral you can loan for - you can check the previous thread here:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=751645.0;all

I can provide a collateral in different coins to cover most of the loan at the current market price, if that would ease your concerns due to this request being a relatively large amount. Escrow will be the one we both agree on that can be trusted to hold the collateral.

Most terms are negotiable, and collateral covers 100% at slightly below current market rates, meaning you will most likely end up with 110% of the loan as a collateral.

Once again, up to 4.5 btc loan accepted for corresponding collateral.

Thank you in advance Smiley

Edit: Adjusted for new collateral amount and corresponding loan amount available on 10/31.

Edit #2: Concluded, and matured.
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Regulation and corruption. There is no 'Us vs. banks/government' in this. on: October 19, 2014, 06:49:18 AM
From what we have seen so far in the relatively short 5 year period or so of crypto, we know there is no such thing as a boundary where corruption and outright thievery is concerned.

With that in mind, I would like to open up a discussion regarding merits of regulations and the fundamental issues that smashes the illusion that crypto currency and crypto tech is the 'good' - and how it is merely a tool to be used.

Marriage with regulation is inevitable, and those that oppose it in many cases have vested interest in doing so for their own profiteering purposes.

'Enemy' you know vs. enemy that persuades you to make him rich with flowery words and greasy promises.

Scotland made the right choice. Unite with england and tackle the problems together. The idea that you want to divide up europe even more instead of banding together and tackling the common problems is insanity in today's world.

Europe and UK cannot be divided any more then they already are.

10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Requesting Litecoin Pools for Merge Mining! Compensation Possible. on: May 29, 2014, 04:14:16 AM
Hello, LTC miners and pool owners:

I have an idea for a coin to be added and be merge mined by LTC pools - a coin with a good prospect, strong dev devotion, and dedicated community behind it.

The idea is to begin merge mining this particular coin with LTC pools, providing blockchain stability and greater security under the umbrella of LTC hash powers while gaining a potential involvement in a coin that has more in store for people than most realize.

I firmly believe merge mining to be the future - and also that crypto currency will inevitably draw in more a just a handful of solid coins as credit and stock markets have shown.

In such an environment, I believe it is important to draw as many supporters and friends with common interests to your side, and this particular coin I will propose will serve those purposes nicely, providing mutual benefit to all who are involved.

Any ideas and suggestions are welcome. If you are a pool owner and are interested, please feel free to pm me to begin the discussion, or post here with you questions and requests.

HP

P.S: If you are a dev or technically-inclined, please feel free to give your inputs on how this can be best achieved. I always appreciate advice and ideas from those who work in these fields.

Basically, only 500k coins are ever in existence, and dev is distributing all of them as an experiment for this sort of a coin.

If you like, post your addresses. I will set priority for people that haven't posted on the other threads, but first come first serve!

100 coins to give, 2 coin per giveaway.

Come get it!

Cool

Edit: Let me clarify. It's people who posted here without posting in the other thread that gets priority. If for some reason we don't get 50 of those people, than we move on to others.

So if you posted on the other giveaway, best you wait for give away #3.

14  Economy / Lending / [CLOSED] Requesting a 2 btc loan for 30 days, 10% - using escrow and collateral on: January 24, 2014, 11:12:31 PM
I am looking for a 2 btc loan (higher the better) for 30 days, with collateral to be discussed. We will use escrow.ms as the escrow to hold the collateral and transfer funds between us. Interest rate is 10%.

The maturity date is 30 days from when the loan is received, but I can pay back sooner.

If you trust my ratings and past trading history, we can make it simpler and do a direct transfer without the escrow - but only if you are comfortable with sending first. I have little to gain by trashing my entire dealing history ripping someone off for 2 btc Smiley

For the collateral, I can offer a variety of options, so let me know what you are looking for. Usual collateral of LTC might not be attractive to some due to  their crashing values.

PM me and post here to let me know your offers and expectations.

Edit: Loan matured and repaid, closed. Thank you austin, escrow.ms.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Missed the doge train? Go on mooncoin. Being pumped up to 100 satoshi and more!! on: January 23, 2014, 11:11:39 AM
On coinex, Mooncoin just rose from 5 to 12 satoshi in less than 12 hours.

Adding moon on to cryptsy is being considered. People are thinking it will be so as soon as this friday or weekend.

Certain whales using 400 btcs are moving the prices up, with gradual efforts bearing fruit - a coin that was considered dead last week which was priced at less than 1 satoshi is now worth 12 satoshi. Some whales are mentioning moving up the prices to 50 times its current value, which is well over 500 satoshi per coin.

The target appears to be 200 satoshis or higher. With the total sell order between current price and 100 satoshi within 400 btc range, this seems doable considering outside buyers also driving the prices up.

Not the least of all, those who tasted the fruits of doge coin train and those who missed the doge coin train last week is now eagerly getting into the game.

All of this means only one thing:

TO THE MOON.

Discuss. Or go and buy. Or do both

Edit: Be aware, a possibility exists that some short-sighted miners who only know how to dump their 24 hours worth of coins, and some weak hands will sell off decent sized quantities to cause a brief 12 to 24 hour slump on the way to the moon.

The key is not to get fooled by this and understand that we have so far been breaking through each successive ceilings and brief slumps and climbing higher every time. This started from 1 satoshi - only way we are going is UP!

This isn't even an ascending triangle. It's past that and is going straight up. There will be bumps on the road, which will present even better opportunities for potential buyers who missed the first rise to buy some more cheaply.

After a brief slump? Another 2-3 times increase. A brief slump. This pattern will repeat itself at least 2 times from now.

Which means 100 satoshi is well within reasonable reach by this weekend, around saturday or so.

20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Can we have lower Bitcoin Wallet transaction fees on: January 06, 2014, 12:06:41 PM
Right now, it costs at least 0.0001 to send BTCs.

Soon, that would be an expensive proposition to many.

How about 0.000001 btcs?

I am sure this was discussed numerous times, but I really doesn't do much favors in growing Bitcoin with higher fees for sending coins.
