Just curious... I know a lot of pools deal with DDoS attacks. Do folks know about/use CloudFlare? http://www.cloudflare.com/According to the site there's even a free version: http://www.cloudflare.com/plans.htmlI'm not affiliated in any way with them, just wondering about their ability to service the Bitcoin mining community with protection from DDoS. Apparently BTCGuild is down right now on 4 pools because of DDoS attack.

I'm an experienced GNU/Linux system administrator and Bitcoin Miner.
I will help you get a mining rig setup and working. My most recent rig is:
MSI 870-G45 AM3 Motherboard PSU CORSAIR|850W AMD Sempron 140 2.7GHz AM3 32GB CORSAIR SSD 2 x Sapphire Radeon 5830
This runs Ubuntu 11.04 Desktop 64-bit, headless, and Phoenix 1.48. I'm getting 518 Mhash/sec with stock (non-overclocked) cards.
I will work remotely via SSH and for 5BTC will provide you 4 hours of system administrative time to get your mining rig online. Depending on timing, I can also work with you on overclocking your rig, or we can negotiate additional fees for overclocking.
We'll be chatting using either IRC or AOL IM.
I also am versed in general system administration, but I would like to discuss your issue/project first. PM me your email to start a discussion.

Every address is a public/private key pair. Currently, that keypair doesn't have a password on it (which is the basis for the issues with someone getting a wallet.dat and then signing transactions to steal your coins).
Couldn't there just be a password placed on each keypair during generation?
That way, in order to use any address, you'd have to enter the password in order to sign the transaction.
This would further allow for each address to have a unique password, the same, or none (if you chose).
Talk amongst yourselves.

http://mashable.com/2011/06/17/rimm-stock-price/"As of 1:30 p.m. ET [Friday], shares of RIM were down more than 20% to less than $28 apiece. The decline represents more than $3.5 billion in market value and sees the company trading at a fraction of the $140+ high it reached in 2008." So 20% price fluctuation in one day is no big deal. Comments?
