2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Your opinions on all the Bitcoin forks on: August 07, 2018, 09:34:20 AM
So there has been a lot of forks and I'm sure many to come. I've started to buy some of these because in this market you fill up the bags, planning on keeping long term. What do you all think?

(And please don't bite my head off because I am genuinely interested in the opinions of some of the older members)

4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Bitcoin forks or altcoins? on: May 13, 2018, 06:35:38 PM
Please tell me your opinion about ALTS and / or FORKS..i have a few bags of alts but am thinking that its just wishful thinking  that these alt coins will somehow someday get mainstream adoption.. I sold about 80% of my holdings in alts to buy Bitcoin. I also have a lot invested in Litecoin, and its not about having a Lambo tomorrow its believing in the original vision.

I am 40 this year and I am thinking of of a time when my kids(16 & 20) (both of them have investments in litecoin/bitcoin)will  use their crypto wallets and or cards for every day shopping at the petrol station or the shop. I am only 40 now but I can still remember the times when my Daddy went to the bank and the teller wrote in her red pen his balance on his bank account book. Then after a few years its got computerized and then he got a ATM CARD and then THE OVERDRAFT and then the loan and then at 72 he had nothing but a government grant that didn't even cover the groceries or the cancer treatments.

Government grants in South Africa is about $80 per month regardless of the color of your skin, the skills you have, the mindset at the time.. or the medical battle your fighting. What do you guys buy for $80 per month? Not trying to be funny, just curious.
