scrypt-jane算法引入N值，在一定难度之后，GPU（显卡）的收益要低于CPU，号称CPU挖矿，实际只是货币发行者的噱头而已，初期GPU（显卡）挖矿的收益仍然远高于CPU，便于货币发行者在初始阶段大量挖掘，赚取利润。雅币（YAC）最先采用这种算法，元宝币（YBC）、招财币（ZCC）、自由币（FEC）等都是这种算法的虚拟币。scrypt-jane需要专门修改过的cgminer程序才能用GPU挖矿，初期货币发行者不会公布GPU挖矿工具，而只会发布CPU挖矿工具，借此获利。在http://yacexplorer.tk/graphs.htm我们可以找到如下的表格，下表为雅币（YAC）的技术信息，表中可见，初期显卡挖矿的速度是CPU挖矿速度的27倍左右，直到Nfactor=12时，GPU挖矿无收益，CPU挖矿的收益才会超过GPU。
