4  Economy / Currency exchange / [selling] 50 BTC on: January 30, 2015, 06:51:18 PM
Selling up to 50 BTC at  bitstamp rate for mailed cash, or  bistamp +3%  for all other payments. Minimum is $100. Don't ask for payment method not listed below.

  • cashier's checks, personal checks
  • moneyorder
  • Amex Serve
  • Amex BlueBird
  • Citi, Bank of America, or US Bank online transfer
  • Vanilla reload
  • Reloadit
5  Economy / Trading Discussion / Bitfinex volume is tripple Bitstamp volume on: January 29, 2015, 07:43:32 PM
Just pointing out the obvious here. Bitfinex's daily and monthly volume is 3 times higher than Bitstamp. But yet most rates in the marketplace still base the exchange on bitstamp's rate. Why?
6  Economy / Trading Discussion / Damn trading bots on: January 13, 2015, 09:16:05 PM
I put in a single buy order on bitstamp and got flooded with micro-transactions. This is what happens when there are no temporary trading fees.

7  Other / Meta / 2FA and loggin guard for this forum on: December 23, 2014, 06:17:41 AM
How hard is it to implement google's 2-factor authentication and loggin guard with email confirmation if browser changes? If it's not too hard, can this feature be implemented without waiting for new forum update?
8  Economy / Currency exchange / trading: Vanilla, Moneypak, Reloadit, Paypal MyCash - for BTC on: December 05, 2014, 10:53:07 AM

10  Economy / Currency exchange / $350 MoneyPak for BTC on: November 20, 2014, 08:41:32 AM
I have a $350 MP to trade for BTC, for 5% in your favor based on bitstamp rate. Localbitcoin is down right now, so I have to trade it on here.

PM me or post here.

edit: nevermind
11  Economy / Currency exchange / [WTB] BTC @ +5% bitstamp on: October 27, 2014, 03:22:48 AM
I have a $500 Vanilla Reload, I'm willing to buy BTC at 5% above bitstamp, which is currently ~$370. No other payment methods for now.

You're expected to send first unless you have higher rep than me. Escrow is fine (although pretty useless against any reload paks).

PS - I have tons of PM's I need to catch up on, if you have a pending PM not from this thread, I will get back to you soon.
12  Economy / Reputation / haploid23's account on: October 20, 2014, 07:21:46 AM
This account will NEVER be sold. If in doubt, send encrypted messages so only I can read.

Can I please request that a mod to lock this thread?

13  Economy / Services / wanted: website designer on: October 15, 2014, 11:51:50 PM
I need someone to make me a website, which I can pay for with btc or fiat. I need the website to have these 3 things:

  • faucet as the main page
  • page to buy/sell btc
  • page to sell products

Ideally the main page is a faucet, and two additional tabs that switches to buying/selling btc, or selling merchandise. If that's too complicated, then just a single page as a faucet site for now, then perhaps the other two added on later.

I normally prefer to only deal with members with prior trust first. Don't want to risk having any codes with backdoor BS. Post here or PM me if you can do this.
14  Economy / Collectibles / 1oz 999 silver - rare 2012 colored Dragon coin on: September 20, 2014, 08:30:16 AM
I have a full roll of these 2012 Year of the Dragon 1oz silver coin by Perth Mint. It's the rare Black Dragon featured at the Berlin coin show, with a mintage of only 5,000. Price of these has gone up to $200 in the past.

Comes with a protective air-tite capsule. They're still sealed in a full roll (has not been rummaged through), but I'm selling these individually for $80 each. US shipping is $3, worldwide is $10. Sold out from the mint a long time ago.

Paid in btc, but for trusted members (in green) I'm willing to also take:
- paypal
- amazonpayment
- google wallet
- bluebird
- serve

15  Economy / Speculation / small dumped just happened. on: September 08, 2014, 09:42:36 AM

16  Economy / Trading Discussion / Western Union on: August 30, 2014, 05:25:52 PM
What is the max limit that I can send or receive cash? I have a few transactions through WU, all over $1k. One of them was over $2k and was blocked.

Is the max amount $900 per transaction, like moneygram? They also asked too many questions for these larger amounts.
17  Economy / Currency exchange / selling up to 10btc @ $500 on: August 29, 2014, 02:16:21 AM
I'm selling any amount up to 10 btc for a fixed rate of $500/btc. Mailed cash, WU, MG, or USPS money order only (have too many transactions going through bank/paypal accounts).

I send first if you have high trust, otherwise you mail cash first or we escrow. Post here or PM.
18  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / ASIC newb - advices on: August 28, 2014, 11:02:40 AM
I started out on this forum in 2011 as a GPU miner back in the HD5000 era. Took a break when FPGA's came out, the started again last year for scrypt GPU mining until it became obsolete. Now I want to look into ASICs for direct BTC mining again, and I'm embarrassed to admit that I know absolutely nothing now.

The playing field has completely changed and there's too many different threads to look at. Can someone give some general advice, or point me to where I should start reading? I just bought 2 used Antminer S1 so I can learn through experience before I buy some newer released ones.

The next two I've narrowed down to will be either the antminer S3 or AM tubes. I'm a bit turned off by the tube at the moment because it seems finicky and can only mine on one pool. Any other home miners I should consider?
19  Economy / Collectibles / 1oz Silver Eagles bullion - SALE on: August 21, 2014, 10:29:57 PM
I'm not particularly selling my own, but I have bought some of these ASE's from Amagi Metals for less than $22, so thought I'd share this deal to everyone else too. This is currently the lowest price for any major bullion dealers, but best part is that they accept BTC. Free shipping if you use the code "JUNKYTOWN" and buy junk silver.

disclosure: ^that is an affiliate link, I make a little less than 2 cents for every $10 you buy.
