1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Hello, it has been a long time... on: April 04, 2022, 11:49:36 AM
I am in a good place, I kind of missed out on the early profits and lost the rest day trading. In the wild west days of crypto, I was always up and up and I saved multiple shitcoins.

I remember getting involved with ColossusCoin early on and was a small player, but was interested in the coding of block chains and had a small investment. I even naively proposed to a website company to help, accompanied by music, but no avail. I ended up learning and doing it myself and was a big pain in the ass to try and divy up all the new funds on a new blockchain to current holders. I took 10% of the new coin, made some improvements in coding and contracting, making it more of Proof of Stake minting for a selected sum. I later on sold it off but for a good time after that, it was worth more.

This is kind of where PayCon comes into play, MuddaFudda created it as a joke towards PayCoin as a shitcoin. The code was bad though, and would destroy the coin soon. I created a new fork where it would fix difficulty spikes and a miscalculation lead to a static amount. PayCon flourished and I improved upon it and it's wallet where I could, and got help elsewhere.

I talked shit about PayCoin with PayCon but I had also purchased about 15% for about a grand and with a few more, we would give back all that(about 20%) to the PayCoin community. We did a kind of giveaway where I sent high fees for mining to be received by miners over intervals as a script. It went well and we helped alot of people. If it is possible to pull up the forums during that event, we helped secure the nest egg of a cancer patient's family that probably didn't make it through.

To all those who have known me, I've never tried to screw anyone over in my crypto career and be helpful.

Love you all Smiley
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / [BOUNTY] Show me how to create a Genesis for $200 in coins of your choosing! on: January 20, 2018, 08:14:24 PM
I think I've fallen and can't get up.

I'm creating an Alt-coin and mostly done with all the initial changes and daemon compiled (gui still needs to work through a couple small errors), time for the genesis block!

Except that I'm stuck with how to create the genesis hash?

This is the repo

https://github.com/Crestington/mota

I will pay $200 to the first person that can explain to me how I can create the genesis block using motad in linux.

Happy hunting!
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Seeking advice on creation of an Alt-Coin on: January 13, 2018, 12:07:27 AM
So a couple old friends from the forums asked me to help them create a Coin but it's been a really long time since I've been on the forums or coding and I'm a little rusty. We have some code prepared but need some help getting a test project going and was wondering if anyone could direct us to a service or individual that can help?

5  Other / Meta / Mods should not decide what is off-topic to post! on: July 15, 2015, 10:31:52 PM
Hey I thought this place was supposed to be discussion and debate, mods don't have the right to delete posts when is there to support your opinion and you should not have the right do censor people based on your own opinion. If you guys are going to let scams run rampant but delete stuff when it pertains to the topic of why it should be considered a scam then that is perpetrating the scam and harming your own investment in Bitcoin. If dodgy cloudminers have the right to post and receive BTC with no proof then I have the right to counter why their arguments are wrong with how something should be run. You deleted my post but left all the rest of the other recommendations from other people posting on the thread as well, that is favoritism and if you are going to delete my post then you should also delete all the rest of them as well otherwise you are targeting me alone for the things I say.

I am not happy!

You can't wrap your head around how that last sentence is made to poke fun at all us NORMAL people that do nothing, can't learn, and want to get into scams. We need YOU all mighty cryptodevil and other fanboys you have to tell us what is right and wrong. haha. So thank you, you are so right, In everything you do, even though your math is flawed and makes no sense what so ever. But you are right cryptodevil, avoid the points, dodge the main idea of everything I say to you. You are what makes the crypto world go round. Thank you for your endless fight! You are a martyr!!! I will pass your message on about scrypt.cc. Whatever that is. Thanks for gracing me with the holy response you gave me.

Quote
only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing

The only real response I see "I don't like how you post bad things about Scryptards and call names but I'm going to call names as well as my only defense"

Have you done the math? I don't think you actually have and are just talking shit. Google litecoin pools and hashrates of the top 10 Scrypt Coins, if you knew anything about Blockchains you would know that you cannot just have 850 GHS of a 1.2 TH network without 1. Being able to fork and double spend on any Scrypt Coin at will, rendering the Coin worthless, and 2. That amount of hashrate showing up on the pools, past and current hashrate stats.

Why do you think I have anything to do with defending Scrypt.cc? How did ltc go from 1.2 TH to 1.6 TH when the last boom happened when other coins didn't drop in hashrate as well?? HMMMM HOW CAN THAT BE??? It is because the total hashrate is an average and more of an estimate as opposed to a solid figure. Now, don't misunderstand this as me defending Scrypt, they might not have what they say, who cares, But you must not know how estimated hashrate works...... Go back to making a fake coin to show how super kewl fun you are and to prove how much smarter you are than everyone. Just to prove something is a scam.... really... Why don't you make a scypt.ccscam coin next you cool guy? Make your loneliness any better to cope with?

Again with the attacking and not knowing anything, go do your research yourself. I know how Blockchains work and I do some work on PayCon™ [CON] - Get your CON on! ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=937480.0 ), which is in fact a real Proof of Stake only Coin, is awesome, better rewards and everything is fully verifiable by the Blockchain itself.

Installed new theme's the last week, TOR integration, security and feature upgrades. https://github.com/Crestington/PayCon/commits/master (156 Commits, tens of thousands of lines of code from about a dozen different developers)

List of theme's

You can checkout the Block explorer, current Stake rate is around 300% per year so complete ROI might happen around 100 days but then there is trade as well (on real exchanges).

http://www.presstab.pw/phpexplorer/paycon/

No one has had their Coins stuck or waiting on withdraws because it's a Blockchain and Blockchains run continuously and people hold onto their own funds (withdraws and transactions are always 1 minute) . You don't have the same risk of some hackers coming in and robbing all the Coins because I don't hold a significant amount myself (maybe 5k atm) so they would need to be able to hack the Blockchain itself in order to get anything in which case someone could not Block or stop transactions without having more than half the Coins and even then the rest of the network could reject those Coins.

First argument anyone is going to have is "if you don't like it, why don't you make something better"

Paycon (CON)

We have decided that new wallets are the first priority. The CON wallet needs to be completely redone. New code base, new reward structure and new wallet design.

BTC Dev Fund Address:
CON Dev Fund Address:

If you do not have any funds you can send but still want to contribute you can use MultiSend in the PayCon wallet.

WHAT IS MULTISEND?
MultiSend allows a user to automatically send a percent of their stake reward to as many addresses as you would like.
The MultiSend transaction is sent when the staked coins mature.
The only current restriction is that you cannot choose to send more than 100% of your stake using MultiSend.

To access MultiSend in the wallet: Tools --> MultiSend
If everyone sent 15% (4.5 CON) it would not take long to reach our goal.

How does PayCon Proof of Stake work?

Proof of Stake means proving ownership of the amount owned through time. When someone sends Coins to your wallet they are encoded with the time at which they have been received and begin to accumulate Coinage. Coinage is measured by the amount of Coins times the number of days they have been stationary in your wallet. After 2 days of being stationary in your wallet, Coins will be eligible to "Stake" and will compete on the network to prove ownership. Coinage accumulates automatically, you do not need to have your wallet running but once your Coins are past the minimum age of 2 days, they will only Stake once your wallet is open and connected to the network.

Here is an example.

John sends Mike 4 transactions of 300 Coins, 300 Coins, 500 Coins and 10,000 Coins

Mike now has 4 Blocks (300), (300), (1000), and (10,000)

Mike leaves his wallet closed for 2 days and then opens it and decides to leave it running and immediately the Block of 10,000 Coins "Stakes"
and he receives a reward of 30 CON and the Block is split into 2 equal Blocks of 5015 Coins each. The 2 Blocks of 5015 Coins begin accumulating Coinage once again.

After 2.5 days the Block of 1000 Coins Stake and Mike receives a reward of 30 CON and the Block is split into 2 equal Blocks of 515 Coins.

At 4 days, the two blocks of 5015 Coins Stake once again and Mike receives 60 CON and splits into 4 Blocks of 2522 each

***After 5 days if Blocks of Coins have not Staked, multiple Blocks in the same address under 500 will combine together and Stake along with the reward into one Block http://blockexperts.com/con/height/106205 ***

At 5 days, the two Blocks of 300 Coins Stake in one transaction and Mike receives a reward of 30 CON and the entire amount combines into one Block of 630 Coins

You can view the sizes of all your Blocks, by using the Coin Control feature located in the "Send Coins" tab of your wallet and can sort them by addresses, size, weight and time received

You can gain the most Stake reward by managing the sizes of your Blocks with Coin Control, you can select multiple smaller Blocks and send them to yourself to combine them into one larger Block so they Stake sooner, or select a larger block and send smaller amounts to yourself to so you have more Blocks competing on the network for higher rewards. Each time you send a transaction, it costs 0.05 CON and it resets the Coinage back to zero to begin accumulating once again.

Your reward per day and per year is based on the amount of Coins you own, the sizes of the Blocks of Coins, and the amount of people Staking their Coins on the network. If there is a low amount of people Staking their Coins, smaller Blocks of Coins will Stake sooner for higher rewards ie. If you Stake but other people do not, you receive the rewards that they would have received.

If interested in an explorer that blows every other one out of the water you should check out the NEW Block Explorer at http://www.presstab.pw/phpexplorer/paycon/

Problems with Hyper-inflation? PayCon doesn't have that problem, inflation growth is constant.

But we have a caveat. When the inflation rate is constant, what is your annualized Stake rate? PayCon is still yielding around 500% Stake Smiley

Difficulty is increasing.

Marketcap is at an all time high.

7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / 2015 - YOUR ALL GETTING SCAMMED!! on: January 18, 2015, 08:13:56 AM
Thought that might get your attention, Here is a little snapshot of the current feeling of the AltCoin market

AltCoin section has been going wild lately and I noticed I end up posting on a lot of the Scam threads but then again, out of the top 40 threads, 25% of them are claiming something is a scam.

The next most popular category of threads are about daytrading and pump and dumps, attacking Coins followed by how to make Coins, getting into new projects and last but not least a couple informative threads. I guess this means as in popular media, negative attention attracts more interest.

I remember January of last year it was very quiet compared to this, what do you guys think about this?

What do you think the AltCoin section look like 1 year from now? is 2015 the year of the Scam Thread?
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Who wants to help rebuild ColossusCoin? (ColossusCoin 2.0 Beta Live 03/01/2015) on: November 01, 2014, 12:00:26 PM
A new trend is coming in the Altcoin scene, why make a new Coin when you can build equity onto an existing coin?

ColossusCoin

The issues:

Multiple errors in the code, several hardforks, missing balances from BTCLTC, missing balances to Cryptsy (holds approximately 30-40% of the Coins and halted withdrawls)

The Benefits

The name ColossusCoin

Possible solution?

I am thinking a full swap for a new Blockchain would be best, off the exchanges for a period of 3-4 months but that would involve extra coding. I'm not confident in myself that I could do it all on my own since I also work full time and less than a years worth of coding experience but I do have a few prototypes to work with along with a lot of ideas, resources and guides, contact with several exchanges.

What do you guys think? there is more available than just this bit and how would the Coins be handled? What to do about exchanges so that it can remain Proof of Stake only without Exchanges becoming a risk (eg. Moolah)

UPDATE FEB 3, 2014

I am closing this thread since I don't want to have multiple threads cluttering up the forums and confusing everyone as we progress into the final version. All further discussion will be moved to our launch thread at https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=941433.0 but keeping this thread as reference to the active progression of the project.

UPDATE NOV 6, 2014

I will be away from Nov. 10th to Nov 20th, heading to Vegas for 30th birthday celebrations. The source here is provided for final improvements. I have added 350k Multiwalletcoin to the development fund and also have another 150k to add as well along with some Mary Jane coin that was given to me. I have contacted a couple people for quotes and will also try to provide a more comprehensive list of funds available for the bounty plus a teaser video which is one of many promotional videos we have ready.

UPDATE NOV 9, 2014

fire rabbit provided a few promotional videos for me and said it was alright if I hosted them here, he does great video work for Crypto and did some work for LiteCoinDark as well.

Here is part 1 of a mini-series to help get people more interested in the ColossusCoin project.

Fee is 20 Coins per 1 kb transaction (sending one transaction up to 6-7 combined inputs)

The reward is Stake Reward (up to 25,000), plus Fees included in the Block

Stake Split threshold is 10 days
Stake Combine threshold is 200,000 Coins

This means that if your Coins Stake before 10 days, it will split your reward into 2 equal sized Blocks regardless of size. If a Block of Coins Stake after 10 days and are less than 200,000, it will combine the Coins and Stake reward into one Block.

Coin Control

Coin control lets you view your transactions and the amount of Coins in each Block you have along with it's confirmations.

You can enable it by going into "settings" then "options" and under the "display" tab, choose "display Coin control" and apply the changes.

Then you go back to the Wallet and go to "Send Coins" and you can now view a list of all your Blocks and can sort it by size, confirmations or addresses.

Staking reward changes and planning a hardfork

I am looking for some help with reward changes and creating a hardfork. There are two bugs here in which need to be resolved.

Bug #1 Actual reward for Staking is almost always the subsidy limit of 25,000 Coins which would lead to an actual amount of inflation of approximately 6 Billion a year.

Bug # 2 Fees are doubled in the Proof of Stake reward. When a fee is collected as part of the transaction, the Proof of Stake Block that confirmed the Block receives the Fee reward twice.

ColossusCoin 2.0 is currently in Private Beta, we can offer Bounties for upgrades and final tweaks to the rewards

9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Big Changes for Colossuscoin (Become a part of Colossuscoin 2.0) on: July 04, 2014, 09:53:34 PM
Hello all Bitcointalkers,

I am seeking response from all holders of Colossuscoin for a number of large changes currently happening in the community.

I am working along side members of the community in building the coin that will replace Colossuscoin through a coin-swap off the exchanges.

Here is some of the preliminary changes which are subject to change

Quote
Proof-of-stake will be 0.25%
We lower the number of days for stake: minimum stake age every 7 days
Transaction fees will be 0.1% to start.
Approx. 313,000,000,000 COL will be reserved for the swap over (1:1 ratio) and 67,000,000,000 new COL will be added to pay IPO investors and developers (col1.0 patches and col2.0 development) and what is left will be added to the Development Fund for future costs and bounties.

Coin Specifics

Parameters for the new blockchain
- 100% Proof-of-Stake currency
- 550 billion coins total
- 0.1% Transaction Fees or 1 Col whichever is higher
- Tx Destruction Fee of 0.02 Col included in all transactions
- Proof of Stake 0.25%, 7 days/14 days Max Weight
- Fee Mining 7 days/14 days Max Weight
- Block Time of 25 seconds or less
- Big annual PoS, annual interest eligible for coins which have been stationary in a user's wallet for at least 7days
- New COL Client for Windows-Linux, Mac OS, Android, Secure Online Wallet as well

I also believe we will need the patch urgently for COL1.5x before we finish and announce COL2.0 for the withdrawals and transactions to function properly.
I am willing to spend some BTC for COL1.5x patch in order to get COL back from the Dev Fund when everything is finished.

Best,
Sudo

Static pieces are the 380 Billion premine and 0.1% transaction fee and approximately 10% inflation to start

Pieces under debate are

Minimum fee, staking weights, fee allocation, algorithms and funding input.

Additional pieces to be added in before launch will be an additional 0.1% fee which will feed into a central fund managed by the Development Team.

There is no cost in order to be involved and once I have gone through all input and objections it will be built and will go into testing. I am aiming for one week for the finalization so please speak up and have your say.

How this will affect Colossuscoin Holders

We are creating a more centrally run foundation and providing a patch and the option for all holder to swap over for a limited time through sale of the final product.

It will be everyone's choice whether they decide to swap their coin over. The swap will happen off-exchange and coins swapped over will be destroyed.

Those that do not swap over will be left with a reduced total float and a better operating coin. Those that do swap over will receive a large portion of the remaining coins at the end of the swapover through their coins relative to the total float.

This is an extension of the IPO thread I had posted a couple months with a large amount of changes in order to handle funding in a safer way.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=540149.0

A fair bit of the in depth discussion and changes was recently moved from the Development Team section into more public areas. The IPO thread up for debate is viewable by anyone

Discussion of Funding ( http://colossuscointalk.org/index.php?topic=635.0 ) and recent progress on Building ( http://colossuscointalk.org/index.php?topic=635.0 ) is viewable by registered members.

Hopefully there isn't too much trolling on such an endeavor and I will do my best to answer any and all questions people may have.

10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / [ANN] THE COLOSSUSCOIN 2.0 IPO AND WHITEPAPER on: March 27, 2014, 10:11:33 PM
April 21, 2014

The Colossuscoin Client has been updated to include fixes to the current Staking algorithims, better connection to peers, OpenSSL fix and a complete and current Blockchain download including a Colossuscoin.conf file for connection to permenant nodes.

You can view a full guide here with all the most current files https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=517756.0

Due to some confusion about the Colossuscoin 2.0 IPO I would like to state that current coins are NOT being burnt and transferred to a new Blockchain at this time. This thread is first and foremost about the interest in such an endevour and no Coins have been collected as of yet. We will continue to monitor and make improvements to the current Blockchain, Clients and infrastructure while we prepare the building of a fully custom Blockchain. Something so radically differrent from the current Blockchain will take time to build and so we will continue to monitor and make improvements to the current Blockchain.

April 3, 2014

We will be having a shoutbox meeting on the Colossuscoin forums today at 7:30 pm Pacific standard time for all those interested in this project. The Colossuscoin forums are http://colossuscointalk.org/index.php and you need to create an account or already have one to access the shoutbox.

March 29, 2014

I am putting the IPO on hold for now until we can sort out an address to send to. Sudo23 sent some test amounts to the Cryptsy address we made and they are confirmed on the Blockchain and Coinplorer but do not show up in the Cryptsy account. This project has been very time consuming for me and I need to take a little less time on it to focus on work, moving and my own finances. If Sudo or someone else from the Colossuscoin community can handle the IPO fundraising, I can put everyone in touch with the local developers and the guy who did the ADT swap.

The Developers said they would do an updated client for 1k USD plus 3 billion Col and another 4-5 Billion for the Blockchain (most of which could come from the new coins. The ADT swap guy said he would do the swap for 3k USD in Bitcoin and is a rather easy process since the Colossuscoin Code is basically the same as ADT was. We also have a Bitcointalk Community developer that has been working on patches and updates for the client as well and would be good to pay him as well.

We haven't started the IPO fundraising yet, what has been written down is just pledges and no coins have been sent yet. I still want to do this as I've been working on it for months, just not financially able to invest in the IPO myself and so I don't think I should be the one managing it, plus I'm just burnt out from trying to do so much.

The new client should take about a week to do, been quoted at 10 hours of work.

The new Blockchain would be a bit more time consuming since we would have to figure out how to do multi-sig, the fee system, shrink the Blockchain and add multi-bit like client (so you don't have to sync from the beginning of the Blockchain).

Let me know your thoughts

Please read on how the Fundraising works

We will begin accepting fundraising tomorrow, March 28th at 12pm at which time the Development Fund Addresses will be posted. You will only be allowed to donate if you are on the approved pledge list and only up to the amount pledged. When you send coins you must write how much you have sent and the address you have sent it from so we can verify it.

If you wish to donate more than the intended amount you must be approved else the excess will returned to the same address. If you donate without first being approved, your coins will be sent back.

The hard cap on the fundraising is 9 billion which is solely reserved for the development with an additional 4.5 billion from new coins to be paid to software developers upon completion of the blockchain for a total of 13.5 billion.

If for some reason we need additional coins we can either extend fundraising to a limited degree (1-2 billion) at the same ROI or add an additional 1-2 billion to the new float paid to the software developers. I have taken an account of costs and excess should not be needed. If we have excess left over it will be used for marketing and promotion.

Fundraising will be open up to the 9 billion or completion of the new blockchain, whichever comes first.

Question and Answer Section

TX fees

TX destruction fees offset inflation by reducing the total amount of float.

Multi-sig

Multi-signature refers to an address needing to be signed by other addresses before a transaction can be sent. An address can be coded so it needs to be approved by a certain amount of keys over a maximum amount of keys (eg, needs verification of 3 of 5 keys). It will be applied to the Development Fund within the new blockchain for enhanced voting rights, security and the ability to host the fund online.

Staking

Staking works in a more efficient and fairly distributed manner than traditional mining. Once coins enter your wallet they begin to aquire coin age (the time they have been stationery in your wallet). 15/30 days Max weight means that between 15 and 30 days your coins will hit a proof of stake block, use up its coin age, verify transactions on the network and you are rewarded coins. You do not need to have your client open all the time for it to stake, if your coins are eligible to stake and you open your client, your coins will immediately stake.

Update March 27th
We at the Colossuscoin team have put together a team of talanted developers to help us reinvent the foundation. We believe it is important to raise funds and inform the community of this endevour in the most transparent way possible. Sudo23 and I will be managing the fund for this and I believe this is benenficial to everyone in the community. We are looking for approval of the community and fundraising as the developers are already nearing completion on the clients.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Cryptsy could have prevented the Colossuscoin sell-off...... on: March 17, 2014, 09:30:48 AM
A few days ago Cryptsy posted a message on the Colossuscoin markets stating that "This market is under consideration for deactivation due to volume". Cryptsy holds approximately 40% or more of all Colossuscoin on their exchange so as a direct result of their notice, price has dropped more than 50%

I am active on the forums daily and have Bit John on Skype as well as several other members of the Development Team. Cryptsy had the means and opportunity to inform us prior to the message they put up but failed to do so. I even sent Bit John a message 2 days before the notice was put up to tell him that we have a team that can fix the wallet issues and will take under a week once funding is complete. Had we been informed of the notice we could have simply released all of our progress thus far and begun our fundraising campaign, this is the third time in 3 months that investors have suffered due to the direct actions of Cryptsy and the most severe.

Step 3

Open your ColossusCoin-qt.exe file for the first time, wait until it opens and then close the client, this will automatically create your roaming files for you. (Ignore this step if you already have had a client but wish to update or sync quicker).

Step 4

Go to your Colossuscoin folder which is found in User/Appdata/Roaming/Colossuscoin and delete everything in the folder except your wallet.dat Your wallet.dat contains your private keys, if you delete that you will permanently lose your coins so please make a backup of it before deleting anything.

Step 5

Go back to the folder in where you downloaded the files in Step 1, right click on the Blockchain file and extract the files to your Appdata/Roaming/Colossuscoin folder. Right click on Colossuscoin.conf file, copy it and paste it into the Appdata/Roaming/Colossuscoin folder as well. Your Colossuscoin Folder should now contain all the files you need.

Step 6

Open your ColossusCoin-qt.exe client and let your client fully sync. If you have coins available to Stake, they will Stake once your client is fully Synced and you can leave it open until they are fully confirmed (which is 70 confirmations on the network)

Step 7 *optional*

If you would like to check your wallet for coins that may not be showing up in your wallet, click on "Help", "Debug Window" and click on the Console tab.

Type Checkwallet to check for any coins that may be missing and should say "wallet check passed" : true

If it returns "Mismatched Coins" Type Repairwallet and it will fix your balance.

Update March 22nd

We will be releasing details of our fundraising program for the wallet fix and IPO for Colossuscoin 2.0 in a few short days. Cryptsy must be listening because they removed the deactivation message. This IPO will be raised ONLY in Colossuscoin up to a limited amount with highest priority given to members of the community who have supported us.

Let's make this happen!

Original topic

It has come to our attention that Cryptsy may delist Colossuscoin from their market due to low volume of trade. Although we cannot control what an exchange does we can and are focused on building a better Foundation. We are fully committed to this project and will be here through the ebbs and flows of even the stormiest of times. To us, Colossuscoin is not just another Cryptocurrency, we are a group of friends bound together by the ideology that we can make a difference in the world and it is this spirit that will overcome insurmountable odds.

In regards to the wallet issues.

The wallet syncing issues are due to IRC blocking bitcoin clients and has caused peers not to be able to connect to each other on the network.

Over the last couple months I have contacted approximately 20 software developers in order to find a permenant team to help develop for Colossuscoin. My goal was to find an experienced local team in Vancouver who I could work with face to face to bring our project goals to life and have been in meetings with several professional teams as well as the original developer of Colossuscoin

The cost of the new wallet is 6.5 BTC and will take 1 week to complete once funding is finalised.

Although committed, the Colossuscoin Development Team are not large shareholders and will need financial support from the community in order to make this happen. All input and ideas on how to raise the funds nessecary are appreciated.

Please help the Colossuscoin community by donating to the Development Fund addresses

A little about me and my Goals with Colossuscoin

Colossuscoin is 100% Proof of Stake meaning you can only buy Col and stake your coins (prove your balance) for interest. Colossuscoin originated as a Proof of Work/Proof of Stake hybrid and in early December became 100% Proof of Stake.

Why does Proof of Stake matter? It eliminates outside miners selling the currency without actually owning it in the first place and large mining power pushing out the average investor. Proof of Stake is the future because the coins become the same as shares in a company, investors receive dividends based upon the amount of investment in the Foundation.

I became involved in Colossuscoin shortly after the original developer left in early December because it offered me an opportunity to lead and develop an entire foundation.  The foundation had wallet issues and no developer, yet there was a group of individuals so dedicated that they would stick it out through the hardest times. Everyone is off chasing new highs so large amounts could (and still can be) bought for cheap.

The Development Team was created on the basis that all investors are equal, those that have a genuine interest in making the Foundation better for everyone become the core that drives it’s future regardless of how much investment they own. Those that contribute to the foundation should be rewarded so we are focusing on many ways we will reward all investors and those who are part of Colossuscoin.

In early December, Sudo23 created the Donation Fund which is a group of wallets which are slated specifically for the Development of Colossuscoin. Donations ended up being small, and only funded by people managing the foundation, those that are working to make the the foundation better for everyone are punished by always having to foot the bill.

Problems are in fact blessings in disguise.

We have worked together in the planning of the future of Colossuscoin, forging connections with other foundations and coming up with solutions that will benefit everyone involved.

The wallet issues were because the blockchain was so large it was creating syncing issues. To resolve these issues, the developer hardforked the blockchain multiple times which created a larger blockchain and people lost coins by sending during times of these hardforks. Without these hardforks happening, the blockchain stabilized and all transactions work well and actually much faster than BTC, transactions are received in under 2 minutes. The only issue now is that the blockchain is bloated so some people are having trouble syncing the downloaded Col wallet but even that is as more people use the wallet (more connections = faster syncing)

I am not the one who will just sit around and hope things get better so I sought out Zackclark70 who was working on more severe problems with ADT and Mullick, the best Proof of Stake coder in the business.

What I want to do

First I want to get the wallet syncing improves but in doing so,  we also have the opportunity to update the Development Fund. We change the fees on transactions from a destruction of 0.1 Col per transaction to 0.05% which pays directly to the Development Fund. If you are a longterm holder like I am, you will likely only ever pay this fee once or twice but frequent traders would pay the bulk of it. This takes all the funding pressure off the people who manage the foundation and spreads the cost of development equally across the entire foundation.
Along with the Development Fund, also comes an improved open ledger which is public and better organizes all transactions and balances of the Development Fund.

With a self funding structure we can design a whole new Blockchain with the development fund coded in which would give us the ability to readjust fees so that a portion is paid to investors so long-term holders generate coins from staking and from fees. By swapping over all the coins with the same float, it recovers all coins ever lost (whatever can’t be swapped over are lost coins) and can be be paid to investors, development team and the development fund. The actual swap would likely take months to complete which in that time we can settle all legitimate claims before the swap is finished.

The big benefit to a successful swap means the blockchain can updated and changed regularly as we evolve the platform, the problem with Bitcoin is that people are too heavily invested in the way it is now for it to change.
I think developing a foundation is fairly straightforward, you just make it easy to use, secure and increase rewards along the way. The Wallet and blockchain are yet just a small piece, the possibilities are endless.

Update: We have so far added 30+ people to the Marketing and Promotion Team in the last week as well as created a Foundation Marketing Wallet with over 25 Million Colossuscoin set for contests and prizes!

Colossuscoin – Welcome to the Future

15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Hello Bitcointalk from Colossuscoin on: January 03, 2014, 08:29:51 AM
I have taken up a role in rebuilding the foundation of Colossuscoin in a similiar fashion as Zackclark70 with ADT (Android Tokens). I am personally working on a new blockchain and implementation with Cryptsy which will unlock new value for the foundation and investors.

Colossuscoin has great community leaders that work hard to meet the demands of investors in a positive way and has a sound long-term plan for the future which benefits both current and future investors.

-Colossuscoin Forum: http://colossuscointalk.org/index.php

-Recently added to Coinedup (around Dec 27th) as Col/Ltc and Col/Btc.

-Applictions for the Development team opened Dec 30th

-If you have good ideas, special skills or general enthuiasm for building a better future you can apply to be part of the Development Team at: http://colossuscointalk.org/index.php?topic=233.msg832#new

-All levels of experience are considered, you may be talented in ways you don't realise. Users who also continually contribute to the forums and development in an outstanding way may also be invited to become part of the Development Team.

We all wish you a Happy New Year from all of us at Colossuscoin
