1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / A few miners for sale on: October 09, 2014, 11:39:03 PM
I have (2) GAW Fury Scrypt miners for sale and an Antminer U2 for sale. All are barely used, still have the receipt for the GAWs. Just got to try out the crytocurrency world. Fun to play with.

$80 or .2BTC shipped for everything
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Running SHA526 and Scrypt ASICs at the same time on: September 09, 2014, 06:03:41 PM
Hey guys-

  I recently picked up a couple of GAW Fur miners and have gotten them to work. My issue is that now my Antminer U2 is not working through its mining program.

I am running a Miner Package with the Furys and trying to run CGminer 4.2.3 for the Antminer (this worked before I got the Furys).

The error I am getting from the Antminer is "Icarus detect failed to initialise" and "You need to install a WINUSB driver for AMU device"

I can see all the miners and the Furys are on COM3 and COM4 and the Antminer is on COM8.

I have the CP210x USB to UART Bridge installed.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Question about wallet.dat on: May 28, 2014, 09:58:35 PM
Hello-

  If I have a copy of my wallet.dat file, no matter how old, if I reformat my computer and replace the wallet file, will the wallet re-sync with the most recent balance of coins? Example: I saved a copy of my wallet.dat file 3 months ago on a flash drive. Yesterday, I reformatted and made the mistake of not updating the wallet.dat file with the latest coin balance. If I put the old wallet.dat file in the folder and re-sync the wallet, will the newer coins populate to the wallet address, despite the file being 3 months old?

Thank you
7  Bitcoin / Mining support / Requesting Information on: April 18, 2014, 03:37:41 AM
Hello-

  I have been mining altcoins for a few months and I recently purchased an Antminer U2 to try mining SHA256 coins, most notably, trying to mine BTC. I have followed the Easy Set-up Guide here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=555638.0 and have downloaded the needed drivers/programs. The Antminer is being detected.

Now I am to the part where I am doing the conf file and the batch file to run CGMiner. I have the following for a conf file:

rpcuser=(myusername)
rpcpassword=(mypassword)
rpcallowip=localhost
rpcport=8332
addnode=31.193.130.77
addnode=192.241.159.88
daemon=1
listen=1
server=1

And this for a command batch file:

cgminer  --anu-freq 220 -o localhost:8332 -u (myusername) -p (mypassword) --btc-address (mybtcaddress)

When I run the batch file, CGMiner comes up and says:

Started CGMiner 4.2.3
Probing for an alive pool
Waiting for work to be available from pools

The miner window goes blank after a minute and if i click the mouse in the window, it shuts down.

I have been searching for the last 2 hours for any other information about nodes, conf files, etc and this is where i have gotten. I know this is for solomining, but I am just trying it to make sure I can configure an ASIC correctly for solo mining. I expect no gains or blocks.

 I just want to know if I am configuring correctly and if there is a list of nodes I can add to the conf file.

Thank you
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Mining Goals on: January 12, 2014, 08:24:48 PM
I find myself wanting to jump all over the place with my hash power. Does anyone have goals when mining? How well do you stick to them? I have one goal in particular, but the closer I get, the harder it seems to stay the course.

9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / GPU Starting Slowly on: December 18, 2013, 12:08:23 AM
Hey all-

I have (2) Sapphire 7870 GHz Editions and have been mining for a couple of weeks. Both GPUs are running at stock settings in an ATX Mid Tower set-up, cover on. I am scrypt mining with settings of

I 12
TC 8192
W 256
G 2

GPU 0 runs at 69-70C consistently and GPU 1 runs at 60-62C. I have been running GPU 0 about 2 weeks longer as it was part of my initial PC build.

In the last couple of days, GPU 0 has taken a little time to get up to speed. About 30sec to get up to speed. GPU 1 starts right up. I have an NZXT Hale 82 700w PSU.

Is this a sign of a dying GPU? Any insightis appriciated.

Thank you.
