1  Economy / Exchanges / What are the consequences after FTX bankruptcy? on: November 12, 2022, 04:16:28 AM
The collapse of a big fish like FTX will lead to hundreds of other bankruptcies, the long-running TV series about FTX is just the beginning. Luna's death alone led to many crashes like 3AC, Celsius Network... and blew away 60 billion market capitalization. FTX is something much bigger, I have a feeling that the storm has just begun and we are not yet the center of the storm, the crash of FTX will be bigger than what Luna or Mt.gox ever caused.
In just 3 days, information related to the collapse of FTX caused the market to evaporate 150 billion and I believe this number will increase when they are officially declared bankrupt under Chapter 11.

The empire of FTX and the companies they associate with and invest in.

3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin and Inflation and why bitcoin? on: October 15, 2022, 02:54:15 AM
We are in a time of crisis and I have to say that inflation is so high, it affects everything. A lot of people have been expecting bitcoin to exert its anti-inflation properties, and then things didn't go as expected, assets like bitcoin are not immune to short-term negative effects. I see that many people are starting to be negative and skeptical about bitcoin's ability to fight inflation.

But if we don't just look at the short term but look at the long term, looking to the future. We'll see what bitcoin can do.

+ In 2010: with 10,000BTC we will buy 2 pizzas.
+ In 2016: with 100BTC we can buy a car.
+ In 2022: with only 10BTC we will buy a house, maybe many countries will not need 10BTC to own a house, sometimes only 3BTC to 5BTC.

Just looking at these things, I can tell you that, if BTC is not the best anti-inflation asset, you won't find a second asset that is more inflation-resistant than BTC.

Let's feel for ourselves what is going on in our daily life, is this true? I believe you will have your own final answer.

4  Economy / Speculation / BTC "broke" the support level of 20k USD on: June 18, 2022, 07:41:40 AM
Bitcoin is currently trading at $ 19.1k after falling 8% in the past hour,
You know this is the ATH price of the 2017 bull cycle and the first time in history that bitcoin prices go back to the old ATH.

The market is entering its toughest period since 2017 when all coins were divided many times their ATH levels.
This is the moment when we decide to leave the market or our last chance to buy bitcoins cheaply. Perhaps this is the last time we can see bitcoin's price below $ 20k.

5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin and Crypto Winter on: June 13, 2022, 04:50:20 PM
Since its creation Bitcoin has experienced a total of 3 "bear seasons" and we are in season 4 right now.

The most recent bear season happened in 2018-2020, At the end of 2017, the Bitcoin craze was because by the panicking of the investors. In 2017 Bitcoin gained $20K value from $1K.Then it dumped of a sudden more than 80% and dropped the value near around $3k within Q4 of 2018, resulting in the total cryptocurrency market cap falling by more than 80%.

After the halving year 2020, we go through the highest bull season max x20.8 times increased, and we acquired the height value of around $67K within Q4 of 2021. Currently, bitcoin is trading at $23.44k.

Where will bitcoin's final bottom level be during this bear season and what will be bitcoin's new ATH level in the next bull season?

Your input will be greatly appreciated.
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Energy used to mine Bitcoin with other industries. on: June 09, 2022, 04:56:36 PM
We do not deny that mining Bitcoin also creates a large amount of carbon into the environment and somewhat pollutes the environment, but it is nothing if we compare it with other industries.

I don't know how many people use Hybrid cars or Electric cars. But, according to the wired oct, 2020 report, only US gaming platforms consume around 34 terawatt-hours of electricity annually, so can you imagine how much electricity is representing the entire world for e-gaming purposes?
Source: https://www.wired.com/story/xbox-playstation-cloud-gaming-environment-nightmare

They are continuously promoting Esports by arranging international tournaments and making a dumb young generation. So, they are not concerned about the environment at all, things are something different here.

Looking at the data, we can see that Bitcoin accounts for only the smallest share of carbon footprint/environmental pollution and global warming.
All the reasons they gave were to hide their fears, fear of dominance, out of control ... Fear of Bitcoin.

7  Economy / Exchanges / Edge issues Mastercard without KYC on: June 09, 2022, 01:10:20 AM
The co-founder of the Edge exchange, Paul Puey, has expressed excitement about the release of a debit card that can spend bitcoin and other crypto assets without requiring customers to KYC. Crypto used through Edge Mastercard include: Bitcoin, BCH, LTC and Dash.
Quote
“Using Edge Mastercard does not require you to compromise your privacy, as other programs do. There is no name or address associated with your Edge Mastercard, making for completely private transactions when your card is used,” the San Diego-based cryptocurrency payment company noted on its website

8  Economy / Speculation / BTC price suddenly dropped from $ 31K on: June 07, 2022, 04:27:39 AM
During the first week of June, we saw a slight rebound in bitcoin as well as the market. This morning, bitcoin unexpectedly dropped from 31k$ to 29k$. As of now, I have yet to find an answer regarding bitcoin's sudden drop in price.
I know we're in bear season and it's not over yet, but it seems too surprising and I suspect there is some FUD that caused bitcoin to go down.

Edit: I find out a few reasons, do not know if that is the cause that caused the market this morning to drop suddenly or not?

9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / How do you feel when the market is downtrend? on: June 04, 2022, 02:01:23 PM
How do you feel when the bear market is happening and do you hate it?. Every time a bearmarket happens, I always have valuable lessons that the bull market doesn't have. So always be grateful when the market goes down, it gives us many lessons, lessons about emotions, lessons about capital management, trust and patience.

The bear market is not the end but the beginning of a new and better start, the bear market is a measure of our confidence in the market. Worthy rewards will only come to those who truly believe in the market.
10  Economy / Economics / What is the golden rule of investment? on: June 01, 2022, 04:23:23 AM
I have a friend who invests in cryptocurrency like me, he is an investor hold Luna and he has also lost quite a bit because of Luna. But what's more sad is his 2 best friends. Those two are also hold a lot of Luna's and Luna's crash causes them to lose all their possessions and become insane. As he said, one person has gone through the crisis and one has not. Those two guys who invested in Luna were all from my friend's advice. He said it was he who indirectly harmed them, money can be earned, but his friend are gone.

This is a sad story that I have heard. Through this story I want everyone to know 1 golden rule in investing is: never give financial advice to anyone. By the time you give them financial advice, you may feel like you're one step ahead of them, but if that advice is wrong, you could be the one hurting them.
11  Other / Serious discussion / What is self-victory? on: June 01, 2022, 03:21:09 AM
People always set limits for themselves, that they cannot or can only go there. That causes us to set limits on ourselves, which will unintentionally sag us as we move on.

We never know, The Universe is infinite and human has no limits, let everything go according to nature, try your best and always do your best, then your life will change. That way, your life will have a worthwhile change or a new miracle emerge in you.

Remember, thinking is our own limit, keeping unlimited thoughts will help you constantly move forward, overcoming yourself is the victory over your limited thinking.
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin reaches 19 million BTC mined. on: April 02, 2022, 03:52:56 AM
At 11:21 pm on April 1st, the 19 millionth Bitcoin was mined at block 730002, mined by the SBI crypto mining pool.

This is an important milestone for the development of the crypto community as well as for BTC. The maximum total Bitcoin supply is 21 million BTC and there are only 2 million BTC left unmined in the world. With the halving mechanism every 4 years, the 21 millionth Bitcoin will be mined in 2140. The next Bitcoin halving will take place around May 2024, halving until then from current levels of 6.25 BTC/block. about 3,125 BTC/block.

The bitcoin price over the past 12 hours has at some point recovered to $47,213, after falling to $44,200 on April 1 following negative regulatory news from the EU.

13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin and crypto movies(Trust No One: The Hunt for the Crypto King) on: April 01, 2022, 03:41:18 AM
Whether you want to or not, whether you intentionally or unintentionally avoid it. You can't deny its existence in our real world, BITCOIN is not "virtual".

Trust me, this is the movie you should spend 1h30” of your life watching. It won't let you down and waste your time, a very complete documentary about BITCOIN.

On-chain data on glassnode shows:
Shocking bitcoin supply on centralized exchange, less and fewer bitcoins are stored and traded on CEX exchange.
The number of holders from 1-10 BTC has increased a lot (orange line) in the past 2 weeks.
The market has endured more than 4 months of decline, are we preparing for a new bullish season?

15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / London hardfork (important upgrade of Ethereum) on: August 04, 2021, 02:01:25 PM
This is an important upgrade of Ethereum this year
This hard fork can create a new coin or not, subject to consensus and upgrade process(the possibility is not to create a new coin)
Enabled EIPs include: EIP-1559, EIP-3198, EIP-3529, EIP-3541, EIP-3554. Summary of the changes is listed:
+Gas fee will include base fee and priority fee (EIP-1559). base fee is burned and priority fee for miners will be received.EIP-1559 will make transaction fees predictable even during peak trading hours. If blockchain utilization is greater than 50%, the base fee will automatically increase, and if the utilization rate is less than 50%, the fee will decrease. This is seen as the economic change model of blockchain.Considered one of Ethereum's most important updates.
+Remove the refund when canceling contract(SELFDESTRUCT). This means gas tokens will no longer be active (EIP-3529).
+New contracts that start with 0xEF will not be accepted (details: https://eips.ethereum.org/EIPS/eip-3541)
 +Delay Difficulty Bomb until December 1, 2021 (EIP-3554).
Countdown: https://etherscan.io/block/countdown/12965000?fbclid=IwAR0mqn_D23roJ5-hF8lXwQAafeFbHgv-ONmrEIhTgcrDtFn6cqxy0h5-kW8
These will "probably" affect the price of ETH.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Annoying ZOMBIE cards issue when using PCI-E powered risers on server PSU's ? on: August 03, 2017, 08:18:26 AM

Sometimes the rigs re-boot, this is normal , say clay-more restarts the rig or my own scripts do when one GPU dies.

problem :

Unlike a normal connected PSU even if i shut down the rig completely, sometimes the GPUs hooked on the risers connected directly to the server PSU's will stay on and running , fans spinning like madmen even.

So of course when the reset occurs that GPU is not even detected since it was never powered off , even when the entire motherboard was shut down completely.

Keep in mind i have a separate small PSU, 500 watts or so that just powers the motherboard and CPU since I can't get the PICO's I ordered from Finsky to work (another problem in itself)

only way to get all the cards back up and running is to pull out the power connectors (PCI-E) from the risers so the cards can power down and then plug them back in then turn on the rig and all the cards are detected.

I cant really power of the 4000 watt server PSU in my case since the PSU is powering risers and cards on two other rigs.

Am I missing something simple here is is they basically an ugly issue when dealing with server style PSU's for multiple rigs ?

If this can't be fixed I don't really see the huge advantage of using huge server PSU"s to power multiple rigs to save costs since this annoying issue could force you to shut down all rigs connected.

17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / lol so many newbs flooding the forum asking same questions on: June 13, 2017, 12:42:49 AM
Seems like everyone and thier mama is trying to build
a rig to mine ether 😃😃 Kinda feel bad for these late commers even the ones with
deep pockets , If they had jumped on board say three to six months ago they would be
in way better shape now with cards hard to find difficulty rising like crazy creating a few rigs
to hedge is not a terrible idea but you have a  better chance to make money buy buying into
the eth based icos or buying related tokens low selling high on the pump and dump waves.

all my 45 rigs are paid for so mining and expanding is trivial for me , i have around 50 cards i bought back when the rx 500s launched that i dont even have the electricity to power that i listed on ebay for $580 a card and they are SELLING 😂😂

the current state of this forum is hillarious to me.  I made 30k on the augur Ico, 10k on waves
sold both way way too low , learned from my mistakes I hope all these newbs dont get burned
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Might be getting to the bottom of the current GPU shortage on: June 11, 2017, 06:16:02 PM

So I have been picking up 1070s , 4 every few days from Micro center, today I saw a big sign on the store door stating that from here on out only two of each card type or
brand will be allowed per household EVER!  Basically you cant buy two , come back in a few days and grab another two anymore.

I talked to the sales manager on duty and he stated it was a directive from the Chinese Authorities to Nvidia and AMD due to the fact that miners in China are seeing card shortages for their mega farms
and since most cards are made in China and Taiwan China has changed the rules only allowing a few cards to be shipped out of the plants till further notice.

This could explain why we see the global hash-rates rising for Eth , Zec and other profitable coins when there seems to be a shortage of cards , I get the feeling they are diverting a lot of the stock that should come
to stores and suppliers here since they want control of ETH just as they have controlled BTC and since ETH is a bit more decentralized due to the fact all the mining hardware is not made by one Giant
Chinese company the are panicking and locking down exports.

Now you can take all this with a grain of salt but , the manager directly expressed to me that their Nvidia Rep explained it was China basically telling them that they see the Video cards exported as basically money leaving the country since they are
not just for gaming they are actually tools for creating wealth so they updated the guidance accordingly.

Crazy huh?  What this tells me is you should grab any and all cards you can because once these changes hit other suppliers we could see extreme limits on even Nvidia cards down the line until the Chinese mega farms have had their fill.

So ive had around 260 gpus now since march im capped on cooling so im pretty much done expanding until i can get my detached garage setup with 600amps or so maybe in a few months.  By my calculations though i shoukd be able to run 8gigs on my 200amp with nothing else but the fridge, oven ,3 2000cfm fans and a basement window 5000 cfm intake ehuast fan.

right now i. ant seem to get past 7100g .

i have a 24 nanos and one rig of 1070s the remaining 230 cards are a mix of 480s and 470s no rig pulls over 1000 w
