1  Economy / Digital goods / FS: CoinChoose.com (or Trade) on: November 13, 2013, 02:42:41 PM
As many of you may know, I am the person behind CoinChoose.  Since my time has become a bit more strained (as I am working on that trading platform and real life has caught up), I don't feel I can given CoinChoose the attention it deserves.  As a result, I am looking at selling the site, code , set-up.

The site collects a lot of data and has potential beyond what it currently does.  I know some members here have indicated there are some premium features I could add.  In addition, it is at least profitable right now based on its limited AnonymousAd revenue.

I am in the process of listing the site on Flippa (which for some reason calculated the value of the site at six figures), but would like to really sell it to someone in the community.  For that reason, I am taking offers here.

I would help with all transition, initial support to get the site up.  It uses PHP for its scripting and heavy reliance on Javascript for the display.  There are some shell scripts to deal with less resource intensive access to the daemons.

I am happy to answer any questions (though some may require some sort of confidentiality statement).

I am also happy to trade this site....just throwing that out there.

Thanks!
2  Bitcoin / Project Development / Open Source Trading Platform on: September 08, 2013, 05:09:50 PM
With the birth of the thousands of exchanges each day, I thought it would be good to get up a trading platform.  While this is clearly a work in progress, I managed to get the old openforexplatform (http://web.archive.org/web/20110806121721/http://www.openforexplatform.com/), and put the source code for it in github (https://github.com/dwmcqueen/opencryptoplatform).

My first task is to get the integration working with one of the exchanges (luckily I have the data feed, if necessary : ).

If anyone is interested in poking around or assisting, please let me know

3  Economy / Services / Advertising on CoinChoose on: September 03, 2013, 05:43:58 PM
As my last sponsor seems to have disappeared, just seeing if anyone is interested in advertising on CoinChoose.  I get about 6,000 visitors per day, and depending on the amount, we can work out an infinite amount of places I will put the ad Smiley

5  Economy / Services / Wanted - jQUERY / JSON expert on: June 03, 2013, 12:33:21 AM
I am trying to create a new chart or two for my site, but having some weird date issues.

The page that has the chart is at http://www.coinchoose.com/newchart.html and it is pulling the json formatted data from here - http://www.coinchoose.com/getDataTimeF.php

Looking for an expert to earn for a few satoshis to fix the bad date (always shows 1970) Smiley

6  Economy / Services / Quick PHP dev to parse out networkhashpersec ABE on: May 28, 2013, 10:26:41 PM
Trying to parse out, for a given coin, the networkhashpersec from here:

http://cnc.cryptocoinexplorer.com/chain/CHNCoin/q/nethash/1/-1

When I append format=json, I lose the hashrate.  So, looking for someone to whip up a quick PHP script to parse the most recent nethash.
7  Economy / Computer hardware / FS: 5830 Sapphire in Original Packaging on: May 28, 2013, 02:46:27 PM
I have an used  Sapphire 5830 with original packaging and accessories.  It mines last I used it (over a week ago) and I believe was used for mining for a few months before I acquired it.  As I recently upgraded the GPUs (and my PCI 16x slot seems to have busted), I don't have a use for this right now.

Looking to get 0.7 BTC (or BO) shipped in the US and willing to do escrow.  Will post pictures tonight.

10  Economy / Service Announcements / CoinChoose - find best coin to mine and best exchange rate on: May 04, 2013, 01:19:28 AM
I had this in the alternative currency sub-forum, but thought i'd also announce it here.  I launched a site that shows the best crypto coin to mine at any given time, plus the best exchange rate (into BTC) for such crypto coin linked to the exchange.  A 12 hour graph showing profitability is available along with an API to get all data from the site.

It is located at http://www.coinchoose.com.

Comments / suggestions / blinding flashes of insight are all welcome.
11  Economy / Services / Simple PHP Scraper on: May 03, 2013, 12:33:34 PM
I need a quick and dirty PHP script written that scrapes the highest price for converting Bytecoin into BTC as posted here - http://exchange.bytecoin.in/.

Any takers?
12  Economy / Services / Looking for Someone Skilled in R on: April 23, 2013, 11:39:30 AM

13  Economy / Services / Looking for quick Javascript work on: April 16, 2013, 10:31:05 AM
More details here - https://www.btcworkers.com/listings/view/85/create-line-plot-using-json-data.  Just need a simple graph using json data for my site.  Quick and easy for someone who is well versed in this type of stuff.

Thanks!
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / CoinChoose - alternative site to show respective profitability of the alt coins on: March 13, 2013, 02:18:35 AM
I love DustCoin.com - it provides a lot of good info.  However, I thought it would be nice to have a basic site, tied to pricing on one exchange with a simple JSON API access to get the data (in case I wanted to write a script to switch my minors).

Here it is - http://www.coinchoose.com/.  I only have the SHA-256 and as soon as I can find complete blockchains online or the clients sync for a few other currencies - I will add others to it.

Suggestions are welcome.
15  Economy / Services / Looking for Web / PHP Programmer on: March 03, 2013, 04:34:36 PM
Hello,

I am looking for PHP programmer who can develop something similar to this - http://dustcoin.com/, but using Vircurex's API for the pricing.  All calculations either need to be done in the code or via a known web service.  Developer must be familiar with proper commenting and use of functions and classes and must code to the PSR-1 and PSR-2 standards.

Thanks!
16  Economy / Services / Looking for C# Dev on: February 22, 2013, 03:19:31 PM
I need a crack C# developer to whip out some code for me.

Someone wrote a nice little API for BTC-e at https://github.com/DmT021/BtceApi.

I need two additional copies of that made - one for Vircurex (www.vircurex.com) and the other one for CryptoCoin Exchange (http://exchange.zapto.org).  I know some functionality is missing in those APIs, but there are some additional features in a few (such as CryptoCoin has a withdrawal command).  While I will pay for the work, I intend to open-source the code as well.

Anyone interested?
17  Economy / Trading Discussion / Martingale Bot for PeerBet on: February 16, 2013, 05:40:10 PM
I am just playing around a bit, but wrote a "Martingale" bot for PeerBet.  I use quotes because given nature of PeerBet it is a little hard to keep in the form of true Martingale (but given how poor that strategy can be, maybe that is a good thing).

I haven't finalized it, but the source is available here -> https://github.com/dwmcqueen/pbmartingale

It currently works (in that it runs and places bets).  Any developers out there that want to improve it - feel free.  Note that it also has a simple wrap-around API for PeerBet that may be helpful to anyone else doing development.

If helpful, I welcome any donations to 1FcznMjGBFxD9YvcFfMCVbhkkKYSACCNcP
