1  Economy / Scam Accusations / Titan BTC coin redeem scam on: October 25, 2019, 07:35:31 AM
What happened::

Several years ago I bought one of Titan BTC 0.1 coins, 2fa kind. I bought it directly from company, not from re-seller. Received it in yellow paper envelope with documents and little bag for the coin. I put it in my closet and forget for several years. And about year ago I decided to redeem my coins from Titan custody. So I vent to the website, opened VERIFY VALUE page and entered coin ID. Site said something like "everything ok, you have 0.1 btc, to redeem your coins follow the instructions". So I followed the instructions and REDEEM PAGE told me "congratulations, redeem is successful". So I checked my address - there was nothing there. I waited couple hours, then couple days, and then I visited site again. VERIFY VALUE showed me the same message I saw previously - "everything ok, you have 0.1 btc, to redeem your coins follow the instructions". So I repeated everything again and there was the same message in the end - "congratulations, redeem is successful".
I tried several times but every time result was the same. Redeem page says redeem is successful but when I check verify value page it says coins are still in custody.

So I tried to contact administration. Sent a letter via their contact form - no answer. Sent letter to guardians@titanbitcoin.com - no answer. Sent private message to user TitanBTC - no answer. Tried to find any help here or on Reddit - nothing useful. Eventually I was distracted and forgot about this coins.

Recently I remembered about it and decided to try again. So I visited VERIFY VALUE page, entered my coin ID and now it showing information that coins were redeemed. I couldn't believe it first, I thought somebody stole my coins creds, but under the coin value I see my btc address, my real btc address I entered myself a year ago. First I though maybe I missed the tx and coins are in my wallet? Of course I checked it and there was nothing there. Well, there was txs, but there were only 11 of them and none of them was for 0.1 btc.

I wrote a message via contact form, to email guardians@titanbitcoin.com, to user TitanBTC here, but received no answer.

If anybody had experience dealing with this guys your help would be very appreciated.

3  Economy / Scam Accusations / Livecoin exchange - thieves and scammers on: August 15, 2017, 01:44:09 PM
What happened::

I want to share some expirience I've had with Livecoin exchange. On August 7th I received 2.138 ETH dividends from TaaS fund. And (unfortunately) decided to invest it in different altcoins via Livecoin exchange.

So I obtained ethereum deposit address from Livecoin 0x85E552d5ae40A1305d9E5d4bA9ac43e9E8053D3E and sent those coins. After couple hours I've notices that my coins was not credited. I checked the blockchain explorer and made sure everything was fine with the transaction - https://etherscan.io/address/0x85e552d5ae40a1305d9e5d4ba9ac43e9e8053d3e . After that I created the ticket on exchange internal support desk and waited more than a day for a answer.

Support answered that they do not accept ETH deposits from contract addresses. Ok, I understand that this is my fuckup(although I did not knew that address I was sending coins from was contract address), but could you please send those coins back to address it was originated from?

The answer from support was:

Hello.
Unfortunately this is not possible, please contact coin developer for this issue.

I start to investigate this issue and find out that there is no technical problem with receiving ether from contract address, other exchanges accept them without any limitation. So Livecoin just stole my money and when I asked them to substantiate their actions they just stoped answering my questions.

what do you mean not possible??? why its not possible?
you control this wallet and you have access to this funds. i can understand if you don't want credit my balance but if you don't return this coins its just plain stealing. i'm sure that ethereum developers does not have access to any address and coins it contains.
if you can't send me this funds than provide me with private key for this wallet so i could do this myself.

hello

i have sent 2.138 ether to fill my balance. address 0x85E552d5ae40A1305d9E5d4bA9ac43e9E8053D3E
it was several hours ago and coins still not deposited.

transaction is visible on blockchain explorer https://etherscan.io/address/0x85e552d5ae40a1305d9e5d4ba9ac43e9e8053d3e
Additional Notes:

So I have couple conclusions about this situation.

Livecoin is exchange of thieves and scammers.

They do not care about their customers and don't feel obligated to answer customer's questions concerning money loss.

I think that in any complicated situation they will scam their customer and do nothing to help recover lost funds.

By the way I tried to find out who they are and found zero information about their origin, where they located or at least registered. I send them request with this questions but they didn't answered.

So I strongly DO NOT RECOMMEND to use this exchange.
