1  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Best way to send BTC? on: June 15, 2021, 08:35:35 PM
I want to send $533 to a company. I have $443.25 in my Coinbase account. And $110.56 balance in my Electrum account. Total of $553.81.

I believe the BTC transfer fee is around $20.00. How do I determine how much the transfer fees are from both Electrum and Coinbase to calculate or determine I'm sending the guy the correct amount of $533.00?

I'm trying to set up and account with Binance, but having trouble getting past the security check sliding thing on the phone app? They want you to add a cell number, but don't list the USA?

Is Binance available in the USA?

I got this online: U.S. customers can’t use the Binance platform, and the Binance.US exchange is very limited

I want to buy BTC with a debit card at the lowest rate?

Coinbase charges 3.99%.

What are my alternatives?

Alternatively, I signed up with Changelly. But they ask you to enter your ETH address. I have an Electrum address, can I use my Electrum address or no?
3  Economy / Exchanges / Need help with Coinbase on: June 16, 2020, 11:41:43 PM
I just opened a Coinbase (CB) account. I purchased 0.0125BTC or $119.56 according to the internet. My issue is trying to send the total I bought to my Electrum account so I can make a payment online. I don't use BTC very often, so I'm not that familiar with how these various BTC work.

When I try to send to my Electrum account with my wallet address. The CB send link tells me I only have $4.78 available to send? My Portfolio Balance is $119.82. Pending deposits-$115.01. Available to send $4.82? I have no clue what this "Pending deposits-$115.01" means?

BTC Buy on Jun 15, 2020
Available to send in 10 days
$115.01

Why isn't the BTC I purchased available to send right away...........why do I have to wait 10 days?

Any help appreciated.

I don't use BTC much. So I forget how it works? I use Electrum.

I want to send someone $50.00.

Under my Electrum account History it shows my last purchase and to the far right I see a balance of 0.00527672.

0.00527672 Bitcoin equals $38.50 United States Dollar according to the Internet.

$50 equals 0.0069 Bitcoin

$50.00 - 38.50 = $11.50. So I need $11.50 worth of BTC. $11.50 equals 0.0016 Bitcoin.

So if I buy $11.50 or 0.0016 Bitcoin. And I send it to my Electrum wallet. Will the $11.50 or 0.0016 Bitcoin be added automatically to my balance? I presume it would be.

So are my numbers above correct? I know there are certain fees that get deducted from the money you receive or send.

So how much BTC do I need to buy and be safe I have enough after fee deductions?

And where is the best place to buy BTC? I live in Florida. Coin Mama doesn't service Florida last time I checked?

Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks, Bill

5  Bitcoin / Electrum / Lost money from my Electrum wallet, need help? on: April 04, 2019, 10:51:45 PM
First post here, hope I am in the right place with my issue? I have no clue how the below issue happened or why? Just looking for direction on what to do to correct the problem below?

Tell me if you can figure this out for me because I have no clue what happened?

I have a Electrum Wallet. I bought some BTC's from Xcoins. They sent it to my wallet. But then I tried sending the BTC to a vendor and got a "Insufficient funds" message?

I tried sending the BTC 0.025097 I got from Xcoins to a vendor, but I get a pop-up message of insufficient funds in my Electrum wallet?

Right next to that 0.025097 BTC amount I received in my wallet, there is a balance of 0.03344572 BTC. Which amounts to $168.67. So there should be enough there to send the $137 I wanted to send to the vendor?

Then above that line there is a entry saying: Local [rbf, 56. sat/b] .................  Amount  -0.02530532. (0.02530532 BTC equals $126.89). Then balance of 0.0081404. I have no clue what this line means or where it came from?

According to the Internet 0.0081404 BTC = $40.92. So adding $126.89 + 40.92 = $167.81. So where that Bold line above came from IDK? Nor do I have a clue where that -0.02530532 went too?

Any ideas or what that bold line means? Looks like I got screwed out of $126.89 somehow? I have no clue how that happened?

I right clicked that bold link and clicked details and it appears that amount was sent to the vendor I was trying to send it too? But my Electrum wallet showed that pop-up saying insufficient funds? And it appeared to me the BTC didn't get sent?

I just emailed the vendor to check if he received that amount from me? So have to wait for a response now.

I don't use BTC often, maybe once or twice a year. So I seem to have a problem understanding all the functions or gibberish in my wallet?
