1  Economy / Trading Discussion / Trading bot to sell on: August 02, 2011, 07:03:41 PM
Hi all

OK so I have decided to stop trading Bitcoins because I prefer to put my money back on to the Forex. This is why I am selling my bot.

Features
- Three months of testing and tuning (before and after the crash) based on algos built on three months of data
- Requirements: PHP server with MySQL, crontab and curl.
- Bot dedicated to Mtgox. But can easily be adapted to other exchanges like Tradehill.
- Average performance +0.5%/day these last weeks (tuning the parameters every week only)
- Written in PHP. I was about to code it in Python but actually it is fast enough like that. 500ms to take a decision.
- Analyzes the order book (depth audit) every minute. Far better than bots based on the ticker only
- Check the balance and buy/sell a % of the amount available when a buy/sell signal arise
- Includes a pricing module. When this bot buys/sells, the price is calculated in order to make the exact right offer (not at the ticker price)
- Stores history in a MySQL db and analyzes the weekly (or monthly) history to take decisions
- Signals: minimum, maximum, under/over priced bitcoin, growth rates (MACD, mobile averages)
- Portfolio analysis: this bot evaluates the value of Bitcoins bought at different times in order to get an average buying price and calculate profitability.
- Console log available with 60s update
- 3-level buy/sell rules
- Stop-loss parameter (I use -1%)

I can eventually install this bot on your server. This offer is non-exclusive but we can discuss exclusivity if you want.

Please make offers here below ;-)

2  Economy / Services / bitcoin hosting? on: July 14, 2011, 09:47:24 PM
Hi guys

I used to have an hosting business. I am thinking of creating a new company, would you be interested to pay your hosting in bitcoins?

What kind of hosting would you like?
How much are you willing to pay?

Thanks ;-)
3  Other / Beginners & Help / Giant crash + Drug rumors + Mtgox hacked = End of Bitcoins on: June 19, 2011, 08:58:15 PM
All of this in less than one month... How can you recover the public opinion after this?

Next Monday, I can assure all the medias will be talking AGAIN about Bitcoins... But not the same way...

The guys at https://britcoin.co.uk/ seems to take this more seriously:

Code:
Due to the recent events at MTGox.com, we at Britcoin have decided to move our servers to a new location. MTGox suffered an SQL injection which means access to the site's funds were in the hands of the malicious hacker. As such, until we see evidence to the contrary, for security reasons we are assuming that MTGox has none of it's client's bitcoins. For this reason, we have withdrawn their access to our servers and the sensitive information on those servers.

While our servers were separate, we were purchasing server space from MagicalTux, the owner/operator of MTGox. We have already moved all our customer bitcoins to a wallet which has newly been created and has the highest measure of security possible. The GBP deposits of course are still safe in our business bank account as well.

We will put Britcoin up again as soon as possible, but only once we are confident we have the highest level of security our users deserve.
4  Bitcoin / Mining / Mining on port 80? on: June 10, 2011, 12:39:15 PM
Hi guys

Thanks for all the good threads on this forum, it's very useful!

However I haven't found an answer to this. I have a totally unused server in a datacenter which can only access to the port 80 (plus 22 for ssh). Is there any way I could mine with it?

Thanks ;-)
