Nasdaq just released a story pondering whether bitcoin has replaced gold as the new safe haven.

These things tend to really stick in the mainstream mind(fear). This'll really help adoption. So when adoption comes, I think it'll come in spurts, and then grow exponentially, but could the network be able to handle these sudden spikes?

Some of the instructions on how to do this in Windows just aren't quite useful for Linux Mint. I'd like to move the blockchain to an external 5TB HD that I just bought specifically for this purpose. Does anyone know how I can do this safely? Also, are there any security concerns with doing this? Any input on this would be welcome. Thanks!
