1  Other / Off-topic / Unveiling The Bitmain Mining Mafia on: March 07, 2018, 10:39:22 AM
Bitmain made $4 billion in profits last year. This is a very interesting story that circulated worldwide.

How did Bitmain made these profits? From selling Antminers? From Mining? From Online Scams?

An Antminer has production costs of around $500 and it's sold by Bitmain at a price of $1500 in average per miner, this would earn them a profit of $1000 / miner. I really don't think Bitmain sold 4 million Antminers considering that the majority of countries made it hard for their citizens or companies to import such products from China.

Some would say Bitmain made profits from mining. If that would be the case then Bitmain it's lying when saying their business is to sell their miners when they're actually using it for mining and definitively a money laundering scheme would be involved.

There is an article https://coindigo.io/cryptocurrency-scams/bcash/ showing how Jihan Wu from Bitmain.com, Roger Ver from Bitcoin.com and Craig Wright that man who claimed to be Satoshi Nakamoto, they created the Bitcoin Cash as a way to Scam people. Let's not forget the r/btc team that acts like hardworking employees in supporting Bcash.

I'm asking myself: What if the Bitmain Mining Mafia also managed various online ponzi schemes and those $4 billion were made from scamming people using their mining company as a cover saying the money were not stolen but made from selling their miners?
