81  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Bitcoin going on fire! on: November 02, 2017, 11:46:19 AM
MYGOD

I am looking at Bitmex chart, Bitcoin is WILDRAGING FIRE GUYS! The green bar just go higher and higher. Peaked at $7400, and it is back to $6900.

To be honest i am happy this happens, because IMO if one coins just keep going up without stopping. When crashes happen, it will crash it to very low price because it does not create a support line
82  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Is Ripple currently use-able? on: November 01, 2017, 06:04:15 AM
I am not a fan of Ripple because of its huge supply, therefore i didn't actually follow their development.

Few things i know about Ripple
- Huge Supply
- Create for Major Adoption in Bank with Cryptocurrencies
- Fast Transaction Time
- Mainly will be used in payment processors, POS, and etc

However, is Ripple currently use-able?

Like
Bitcoin - Can be buy/sell in exchange for items/products/merchant used
Ethereum - Network that can be use to operate and build DAPP on it

How about Ripple? Is there any Bank or Payment processor accepting it currently?

84  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Is this BTC wildfire raising a good phenomena? on: October 31, 2017, 03:27:55 PM
Is this BTC wildfire raising a good phenomena?

I didn't hold any BTC but most of my coins are in other form

And all of them are having the same situation now - Drop  Cheesy
But it doesn't affect me well, and so do you people. If Bitcoin is raising, meaning it is getting more acceptance and adoption. Bitcoin is the #1 in Crypto. If people starts to accept it, meaning all other crypto will get their awareness.

85  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / question about gpu mining in room that i sleep on: October 28, 2017, 02:13:21 AM
So i would most likely getting a mining rig like after so long

At the same cost, which should i pick?
Rx470x6
or
Rx570x2 Rx580x4

1) My room is closed air, i don't open my window. If i leave my rig in my room 24/7, will it become faulty very soon? My room is kinda small, condo unit size room

2) Is the mining rig noisy? Cause i am sleeping in the room xp

3) If i am able to undervolt, 50% fan speed, keep it around 55-60 celcius, can i leave it mining without a fan?

Thanks Wink
86  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Regalcoin? Sorry, whats this? on: October 26, 2017, 04:50:45 PM
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2093710.0

How can this thing survived that long?

I am sorry but looking at the thread, it stated "X11 Decentralized Cryptocurrency"

Okay, meaning we can mine it right?
Then it the post, it is showing POS/POW Hybrid. Then, they have an ICO.

Sorry perhaps i am biased towards such project, but could anyone tell me, whats these project about?
87  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / What's up with Binance exchange? and upcoming so called competitor "Kucoin"? on: October 26, 2017, 05:27:52 AM
Tbh, i visited their website, seems good and neat

But what's make them so special compare to most other exchange? It just suddenly went popular out of suddenly. Is it because of NEO? or because of the Binance coin or something else?

Then, recently i been looking for some similar service but doesn't buyback tokens but revenue sharing on fees.

I found out Coss, then i also saw this new coin name as "Kucoin".
People have been claiming it could be a threat towards Binance because of its model and the way they share their revenue.

Binance: Buy back
Kucoin : Revenue Share up of 50% / Affiliate model up to 40%

Website: https://www.kucoin.com

Kindly share your opinion
88  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / How do people get 19.3 gh/s on D3? on: October 24, 2017, 04:31:28 AM
I never mined anything with any rigs before. But i've join some crypto mining group.

Recently i been seeing people selling D3 with 19.3 gh/s, not one person. But most people who selling the D3 are referring to 19.3 gh/s instead of 15 gh/s?

Is it real?

Thanks
89  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Insta dump after BTG Block Snapshot? on: October 23, 2017, 03:57:43 AM
As we know, Bitcoin Gold will take place in Block 491,407 which will mostly occur at October 24, 3am PT (10am UTC)

Since the snapshot occur, you will get BTG and can we expect an instant dump of Bitcoin?

IMO this BTG event is part of the reason of the recent Bitcoin price surge
90  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Segwit2X hardfork? can it be soft fork? on: October 22, 2017, 03:32:55 PM
Alright, so recently we have seen BCH, BTG and tons of hard fork

So Segwit2x is something that people been looking at it months ago and it was on the Hot Topic debate previously.

1) Can Segwit2X actually activated via a Soft Fork?

2) Based on https://coin.dance/blocks, we can clearly see the Network % support towards Segwit2X Dropped, what happened there?

3) Like BCH, you get 1:1 BTC:BCH, but BCH is not getting major adoption, so Bitcoin is still the "Bitcoin we are using"
So lets say if Segwit2X happens, it is accepted and majority accepted It.

How would it be affected? I mean how would the Segwit2X be the "Bitcoin" that we are using now?

In coinmarketcap, will Segwit2X replace the current "Bitcoin" or it will have a different thing there?

Thanks
91  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Are they still ICO doing the traditional way? Total Fund/ Contribution = Tokens? on: October 20, 2017, 08:01:32 AM
Perhaps some of you might not understand what i am saying
I will make it clearer here

Current ICO
Nowadays, ICO are usually doing in such manner
Soft Cap: $5M
Hard Cap : $10M
Tokens : 10,000,000
Token price: 1 Token = $1
Unsold Token will be burned

So if you contribute $10, you get 10 token. Regardless of how much others invest.

Old ICO
In the olden days, ICO are done in this manner
Soft Cap: $5M
Hard Cap : $10M
Tokens : 10,000,000
Token price : --

So how do we decide how much is the token price in this case?
Total Contribution / Total Tokens in ICO = price per tokens

So if you invest $10, total contribution is $1,000

You would get 10,000,000 * 1%($10/1,000) = 100,000 Tokens.

Is there any similar ICO still? I missed the old time Smiley
92  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Whats wrong with ETH network again? on: October 20, 2017, 07:13:07 AM
Based on : https://etherscan.io/chart/pendingtx

Pending TX is lowered down days ago until today, It starts at 2K pending and it is now 4K pending

Is it due to the sudden huge transaction because of Request network token tradeable?

But isn't metropolis are able to solve out even there are a bigger transactions  coming?
93  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Is difficulty drop a good thing? on: October 18, 2017, 04:34:09 PM
So as we look at : https://etherscan.io/chart/difficulty

The difficulty dropped so much

So whats the affect towards the network?

1) Faster block solving time so more ETH create per day?

2) Miners get to mine out more ETH with the same hashrate compare to pre hard fork?

Any other effect?

Thanks
94  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / What happen for people who does not support Segwit2X? on: October 14, 2017, 06:54:29 AM
according to : https://cointelegraph.com/news/bitmex-exchange-joins-segwit2x-opposition-confirms-zero-support

Bitmex stated they will not support Segwit2X even if the chain has the major hashrate.

In this case what would happen with Bitmex? they will be using the old Bitcoin chain?
95  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / What happen to blocks that Follow Old Rules But Violates New Rules? on: October 13, 2017, 08:13:39 AM

Source: Cointelegraph

Although previously i have read multiple articles on the Forks when the time we have BTU, UAHF, BIP141, 91 and tons of it, i forgot most of it and i am reading again.

So it stated for Soft Fork
User can still continue to mine with old nodes since old nodes will be recognize all the concurrent mined blocks as new blocks.

From the image
Blocks from the non upgraded Nodes - It end up in the process "Follow Old Rules but violate New Rules", therefore what happens to the block? Rejected?

96  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / [Lets Speculate] How long till Request Network Full Cap? on: October 13, 2017, 07:59:10 AM
https://request.network/#/token-sale

Etherscan: https://etherscan.io/address/0xdd76b55ee6dafe0c7c978bff69206d476a5b9ce7

Hard Cap : 100K ETH
Current Contribution : 12K ETH

Would it last until Day 2? xp
97  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / ETH to go bullish after Metropolis hard fork? on: October 12, 2017, 06:24:51 AM
It seems to be a very huge improvement as its the 3rd stage of Ethereum Cycle

From what i read
- Block time will be reduced and optimized
- POS integration time by time
- More flexibility of Smart Contract?
- Zero knowledge protocol

Is this the main benefits of it?

It is very possible that ETH might break the $400 ATH if the Hard fork are successful i guess
98  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Rigs for suggestion for new miner on: October 12, 2017, 05:40:29 AM
1) Been browsing through several threads, seems that Gtx1060-1080 / Rx470-580 are mainly the rigs people are looking for. As a beginner who doesn't know how to undervolt/overclock, which GPU would you people suggest me to get for the best $/hash?

2) Is there risk for OC ing GPU? Would it increase the rate of GPU breaking compare to the original GPU?

3) Lets say if i built a 6gpu mining rig in my room, my room is not open air and i sleep in my room. Is the temperature good w/o turning on fan/aircond? Is it noisy if i am sleeping in the same room as the mining rig?

Guess thats what i need to know now, if you think there are some other important thing that i should take notice on, kindly mentioned it

Thanks and regards
99  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Do you abuse on your cost of electricity when you mine? on: October 11, 2017, 10:46:26 AM
Perhaps some of you might not get the title, in my country, most people have practices to either limit the electricity meter, or do any tricks so the cost of electricity could be voided.

But IMO, this is a very bad practice.

Cryptocurrency industry is just growing and people who don't understand on it are usually having bad perspective on it.
So now with the rapid introduction of crypto mining, people here tried to abuse and voided their cost of electricity for more profit.

In your opinion, is this something that you can accept?
100  Other / Beginners & Help / Difficulty explaination needed on: October 11, 2017, 07:19:49 AM
Hello, although i am in the crypto for 2year+-, i am not so sure about what block difficulty is

Hope i get it right, so block difficulty can be explain as
It start off 2 ppl carry 2 stone which is 2kg, it takes 10minute

Then, after some time, 3 ppl carry 2 stone which is 2kg, it takes around 6.x minute

So 2 weeks later, the amount of stones will become 3 in order to suit the 3 person who carry so the time will be back to 10minute?

Did i get it right?

Therefore, if lets say suddenly, 1 people broke his leg, which means it will now be 2 person carry 3 stone, so time taken to solve will be long?

Thanks
