1  Economy / Scam Accusations / Coinitrage Ponzi Scam - on: December 27, 2016, 09:12:59 PM
The site is clearly a scam / ponzi / exit scam / pyramid scheme

Scam thread:

It is NOT an arbitrage platform. I will explain why and it is very simple. Firstly, do not trust anyone who promises 100% return in 100 hours!!! Is that not obvious?

Here are the "plans" on offer:

I am the dev for MOJOcoin and they posted in my thread that they now support MOJOcoin for their arbitrage platform:

MOJOcoin is suffering from some problems lately and the volume is near zero and there is an issues with withdrawals / deposits.

When a coin has near zero volume, any attempt at arbitrage is simple futile and meaningless. They have simply added minor coins to make it appear that they are legit, whereas in reality they want people to part with their BTC, XMR etc.

Scam, pure and simple.

Let's try the MOJOcoin arbitrage and then I'll trace the trades and the block explorer and we will see in 100 hours that this is a scam.

I have sent 10,000 MOJO to the site:

Status: 1/unconfirmed, broadcast through 4 nodes
Date: 27/12/2016 21:05
To: MHBET2yeXPaRYfNqC7o7pH1Emskz21iE1v
Debit: -10000.00 MOJO
Net amount: -10000.00 MOJO
Transaction ID: 9d1c2d25dac84d6883e5906c4bbbfa8b65a4bbb4f856817ec106391efd435f57-000

I'll update this as we go along and trace the transactions and trades (if there are any)

2  Economy / Services / Legendary >> TRUSTED ESCROW / MULTISIG VAULTS / ZERO FEES / TREZOR << on: December 05, 2016, 06:17:02 PM
I am offering trusted Bitcoin Escrow Services:
I will also offer escrow in other cryptocurrencies including Zcash, Monero, Litecoin, Ethereum, DASH and Shadowcash upon request.
Maximum escrow amount of 0.3 BTC for normal escrow.

I am providing these services for zero fees. Please PM me to setup any escrow deal.

Some Ground Rules:
- I will consider the escrow of anything in principle but reserve the right to decline if I feel that it may be illegal.
- I will only refund to an address if you can sign a message from the sending address.
- If you want a long term escrow or a complicated one that requires some work then I may negotiate a fee.
- Zero fees on all 'normal' escrows

!!I now use a Trezor wallet for all escrows so your funds are secure!!
Permanent BTC address: 1LbodN9A9d9cmPXrH4Tuh77SiWr7BvVSA2

PM should include:
Seller: John Doe
Buyer: John Doe
Amount (BTC): x BTC
Release address (BTC): 1xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Conditions of sale: 1,2,3,4

Include seller, buyer and me in the PM.

Can also offer MULTISIG Coinbase vault services 3-5 signatories.
This means that buyer, seller and me can each hold keys and two keys are needed to make a withdrawal.
So, in effect it's a three way trust. Me as an arbitration agent can not withdraw the funds without the buyer or seller also agreeing.
This is a very safe option for an ICO for example. I will charge a fee for setting up this.

Can also offer trade / arbitration through Bitrated

4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Hypothetical question on: September 12, 2016, 11:13:06 AM
If every single node running Bitcoin would crash at the same time and they all lost their copy of the Blockchain, would all Bitcons be lost forever?
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Cryptos w/ integrated Tor or I2P on: September 11, 2016, 05:13:10 AM
I am trying to do some background research on cryptos w/ integrated Tor or I2P and that run the entire network within Tor or I2P and NOT as an option. Can we try to compile a list of coins running Tor only (or I2P only) and what are the weaknesses with such a system and how could it be improved.

I have so far found:

Cryptographic Triangles [TRI]
Only traded on Cryptopia and seems abandoned, no activity on GitHub for more than a year and dev not online since January 2016
This crypto appears to be running the entire network within Tor

Excluding the CryptoNote currencies: Monero (XMR), Bytecoin (BCN), Ducknote (XDN) etc.

7  Economy / Services / Unique block explorer for MOJOcoin on: June 20, 2016, 07:15:25 AM
I am putting out to tender a block explorer for MOJOcoin V2

It needs to contain detailed, live stats. and masternode stats. It also needs to have live trade stats and weekly average etc. Nice clean layout.

Offers please.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / When do we consider Staisybit to be failed / scam / abandoned? on: April 24, 2016, 03:58:23 PM
As some of you might be aware, the Cloud Staking Service trading as Staisybit (SB) ( - - has been down for a considerable amount of time with no real updates and no timeframe for when it will be back up. As SB went down it took all the invested coins with it, worth around 100 BTC in total. Since the downtime nobody has been able to withdraw any coins and the staff have been unhelpful and have not offered to return coins to customers.

There is a discussion in the SB thread about this with no updates from Alberto. SB supporters keeps making apologies and keep stating that everything is fine and it will all be ok. They also keep stating that there is always a risk in crypto and that you should never invest more than you can loose etc. This does not make sense, SB and Alberto has all the coins or has he lost the coins somehow? Where is the risk here? The risk that Alberto and SB will loose the coins or that they will take the coins and run?

Let me ask all of you, this question:

At what point do we consider SB failed / scam / lost / abandoned? Give me a date or a length of time from today that you consider as a reasonable deadline for SB to come back online so that we can withdraw our coins.

If you have coins in SB, then how much and what coins?
9  Economy / Service Discussion / Genesis-Mining and Bitcoin reward halving!! on: April 10, 2016, 05:53:11 AM
I have previously posed this question to Genesis-Mining; if all else stays the same but the Bitcoin reward is halved, will the mining shares still be profitable? They did not provide a clear answer. I have asked Genesis-Mining again the same question and I have copied in the support question I sent them:

"I have tried to pose this question before and I will try again as I know that many people would like to know before making any further investments. If you make the assumption that EVERYTHING except the Bitcoin block reward stays the same, will Bitcoin mining with Genesis-Mining still be profitable? i.e. Your costs stays the same, difficulty stays the same, Bitcoin price stays at $415,- and no other factors change; the ONLY thing that change is the reward from 25 BTC to 12.5 BTC.

In your previous answer you say:
"We know the halving will be a topic, but we can not predict what will happen. We can not even predict the next difficultychange due to the nature of cryptocurrency and its daily changes.
but just one thought, when the mining reward will halv, also the need for BTC will increase due to expanding companies, the value of BTC will increase, and this not on minior numbers.
Best regards,
Genesis Mining"

There are a number of coins that have gone through a reward halving, like Litecoin and Dogecoin, although not as heavily traded as Bitcoin, but still it does not appear to have had the effect of a price increase or an increased demand.

So, before we invest more (in your upcoming promotion), can you just answer the above question please? ALL ELSE stays the same, only the Bitcoin reward is halved, will my Bitcoin mining share still pay out?"

Any opinion on the matter? Genesis-Mining is pushing a promotion in the next day or so, but will they still pay out after the halving or are they just trying to sell out before?
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Cryptocurrencies with a masternode system on: March 13, 2016, 07:54:45 AM
I am investigating cryptos with a masternode system to consider how best to implement it in our coin and I am keen on compiling a list or all ACTIVE coins w/ masternodes. I am aware of the following active coins that have some sort of masternode system

Total supply: 6,291,269 DASH
Needed for masternode: 1000 DASH / 0.016 % of total supply / 13.19 BTC to obtain one / max MN?

Transfercoin (TX)
Total supply: 5,352,870 TX
Needed for masternode: 10,000 TX / 0.19 % of total supply / 0.40 BTC to obtain one / max MN?

Any other ACTIVE coins running a masternode system?

13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / [MOJO] MOJOv3 has been taken over by new devs on: February 16, 2016, 11:08:24 PM

This OP was last updated: Thursday 23rd February 2017

Latest update: Mainnet is ready. Wallets available.

Team MOJO recommends using:
Livecoin BTC/MOJO
Livecoin will be responsible for swapping v2 to v3.

We have updated the other exchanges that there is a swap but the only exchange that supports the swap is Livecoin.
I do not know how the other exchanges will handle the swap.

The MOJOv3 blockchain and code is designed to allow for the development of higher level apps using C# on the Microsoft .Net framework and further app testing via custom private chains. The private chains are made possible by MOJOv3 having activated the regression test mode inherent in the latest Bitcoin core code base and also incorporated into MOJOv3. This is essentially a confined testing environment where blocks can be generated more or less instantly on demand to create private rMOJO coins with no real-world value. This gives the ability to develop, test and deploy apps with greater efficiency as testing can be done under different environments without having to interact directly with the live block chain.

MOJOv3 will adapt a three-pronged approach to app development on the blockchain. The MOJOv3 blockchain will form the basis for the underlying value and provide the token that will fuel the apps running on top the MOJOv3 blockchain. MOJOv3 will provide an application development interface to interact with the blockchain. We will also work to create a library of simple functions that can be incorporated into the top application layer. We will propose a new way of implementing a total MOJOv3 coin reduction through a “proof-of-burn” strategy via side chains associated with top layer apps.

This will allow us to go back to where we began and start thinking about Internet-of-Things (IoT) applications and mobile gateways / control applications responding to events on the blockchain. In the next update, we incorporate side-chains and “sub-crypto” bootstrapping that will allow custom functional chains to be created on demand by top layer apps.

We have enlisted the assistance of some new team members and further details will be published as and when.

The new MOJOv3 wallet technology is based around an updated Blackcoin core with all features activated. This means ultra stable operation and up to date advanced features such as static PoSv3, and Bitcoin Core’s regression test mode where you can instantly create private block chains with the same basic rules as testnet but you choose when to create new blocks, so you have complete control over the environment. This allows for a layered structure and the development of an advanced API and software layer on top of the MOJO blockchain.

Coin supply: 12,000,000(*)
Algo / System: PoSv3 w/ fixed coin generation
Blocktime: 300 seconds
Reward: 2 MOJO per block
Coin Maturity: 30 blocks
TCP ports:
Main=9495, MainRPC=9496
TestNetMain=19495, TestNetRPC=19496
Mainnet seednodes are hardcoded and running.

The surplus coin supply will be provably burnt post-swap.
There will be 10,000 PoW zero reward blocks.
Generated separate Genesis blocks for Main, TestNet and Regression Test mode.

CryptoID Block Explorer

We will swap MOJOv2 to MOJOv3 with a ration of 10:1 - So, 10 MOJOv2 will get you 1 MOJOv3
We have completed the development of the MOJOv3 wallet and we are testing the network at the moment. Full details of MOJOv3 will be published in the next few days in the new Mojocoin thread at:

The swap will happen on 06/03/2017 at You can trade as normal until the end of 05/03/2017 but if you want to participate in the swap and get MOJOv3 coins you MUST deposit your coins to your MOJO account by 05/03/2017.
You then need to download the MOJOv3 wallet and on 07/03/2017 you can withdraw MOJOv3 and trade MOJOv3. The total supply of v2 deposited to Livecoin will be burnt and the network nodes will be shut down and all support for MOJOv2 will seize at that point.

We acknowledge that there are some issues for some users and we will set up a Slack channel for support and will respond to support here in the 8 weeks until the swap date to make sure that we do everything we can to get you swapped over to MOJOv3.

All MOJOv3 coins that have not been swapped by 06/03/2017 will be used for development and the swap is final.

MOJOv2 archive:
Basically, if you are planning to get MOJOv2 coins for the swap and you didn't have any before, the best thing to do is to get them on Livecoin and leave them there until after the swap.
14  Bitcoin / Project Development / PHP / SQL developer wanted on: February 07, 2016, 06:32:44 PM

15  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Help - stuck Bitcoin transaction on: February 01, 2016, 10:16:36 PM
I initiated a transfer of 0.49 BTC at 2010 hours (GMT) on 01/02/2016 to 1AjFVtmaGSg3rwoSiRRVR6RzQzytyQVWDi

I clicked the recommended transaction fee:

I was not trying to be cheap but the recommended fee for a fast transfer came out as 0.00001130 BTC and I was not able to choose a higher fee and so I sent the BTC.

TxID: 410be500d42a2e8e57bfbc8ed6da06858cd7d81f6218581eaded0f35cd98d78d

Now it's 2 hours later and numerous blocks and the transaction is still unconfirmed.

Is there any way to estimate how long it will take for it to be confirmed? A transaction "matures" right? in the sense that it gains a higher priority as times goes on. Is there a way to monitor this or is there a way to cancel the transaction as it is still unconfirmed?

Please help and small bounty for a really good answer / solution  Grin
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Distribution models for crypto on: January 20, 2016, 01:15:18 PM
Does anyone have a good idea for distributing a PoS only coins for free? The distribution needs to be widespread and free and there needs to be robust mechanisms in place to prevent fraud such that one person only gets one payout. Using Bitcointalk usernames is just too limited and using IPs seems unreliable so what can be done?

20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Extremely slow confirmation time - STUCK? * Resolved * on: October 14, 2015, 09:13:18 AM
I made a transfer as per below and by mistake I must have sent it with a lower than recommended fee and now it seems to take a very long time for the transfer to be confirmed?

Date: 13/10/2015 20:37
To: 15jWJMoKpEUoVADccQvn5hdB9b5YbxDNG1
Debit: -0.45027087 BTC
Transaction fee: -0.00000372 BTC
Net amount: -0.45027459 BTC
Transaction ID: ffc80722c65354cfc0d9b8d71ec237d4ef0895908ebc41128cafc5a2c096fa1d-000

In the blockchain screenshot above it says estimated confirmation time within 6 blocks but there has now been 97 blocks and no confirmations? Is there a way to tell when a transfer will be confirmed and how long might this take? Whats the worst case scenario?

Also, I am sure that I chose the recommended fee but I must have made a mistake or has anyone else experienced this?
