Hello guys, I have found some information about merged mining, but I dont really get what is it. Have been googling around, but everything was written in expert level, so I wasn't able to understand a lot. Maybe anybody can explain me:

1) What exactly it is
2) How it works ( Just the basics, like i was a few years child, you know)
3) What is the point of it.

13  Other / Beginners & Help / Hello, can anybody me FULLY explain PPLNS and PPS reward systems? on: December 20, 2013, 10:38:38 PM
Hello, so I understand them a bit, but i dont fully understand the formulas , how they are counted. So lets start

Those formulas is taken from BTCGuild:

PPS:

1 / Network Difficulty * 25) - Pool Fee (7.5%)

____________________________________________

PPLNS:

((Block Value + Transaction Fees) / 10) - Pool Fee (3%)

_____________________________________________________

So, about PPS, Network difficulity (currently ( at the moment of writing ) is - 908,350,862 - this is the network difficulity? Correct me if im wrong anywhere.

So formula in numbers is : 1 / 908,350,862 * 25 - 7,5% Right?

WHAT IS THE 25? Why is it multiplied by 25? Please tell me.

---------------------------------------------

About PPLNS:

Block value = 25 Bitcoins right?

WHAT IS THE TRANSACTION FEES? SOMEBODY EXPLAIN ME PLEASE.

Why everything (Block Value + Transaction Fees) is divided by 10?

PLEASE HELP ME!
