Until recently my bitcoin client has been working fine. Recently, however I get the following errors when I start it:

Other / Obsolete (selling) / Maple Story Adventures Closed Beta Key Auction: Bids at 0.01 BTC

I happen to have a beta key for Maple Story Adventures (don't ask how I got it), and I am willing to sell it for bitcoins. This is an auction with bids starting at 0.01 BTC and rising. It ends in 30 hours. The winner will be PM'd with the key after sending me the amount of bitcoins promised (my BTC# will be included in the PM).

Does anyone else here know about him/like him?
He seems pretty decent to me, though I can't vote either way. I am wondering if he will ever have something to say about bitcoin.

Bitcoin / Mining / Information on the 5670?
|
on: June 10, 2011, 11:42:44 PM
|
I have a friend mining for me with a 5670 ATI card. I have heard plenty about the apparently amazing 5800 series, but have yet to hear of anything about the 5600 series.
I did some screwing around and managed to push the memory to 500 while pushing the GPU to 900, which turned his 40 MHs into 90 MHs, something that I definitely didn't see coming (my own 4870 was at 75 at its worst but even when maxed it goes to about 80-90).
Anyone know the ideal parameters to max this out?

Bitcoin / Mining / Maxing out my 4870
|
on: June 09, 2011, 02:04:51 AM
|
For the past while I have been mining with my old (though still reasonably reliable) ATI 4870. However, while the chart on the cards says I should be reaching around 90MH/s and peaking around 100MH/s, I have, with as much overclocking as I can, only managed to push that to peaking at 91 and averaging at 75. I really want to get the best out of this card. Any advice?

Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / DiabloGPU Not Running
|
on: June 07, 2011, 08:39:03 PM
|
I recently got into Bitcoins since I think it is a good alternative to the myriad of fiat currencies these days and considered trying mining (so I can find a mining group to join). I downloaded Diablo's GPU miner and at first all seemed well. However, whenever it tries to load, it says "ERROR: Cannot connect to Bitcoin: connection refused". This is very irritating. I have a fine ATI 4800 that, while not the absolute best, should still serve quite nicely as a miner, and I want to join a decent group, but I can't if the miner isn't working.
Advice?
