In a crypto scheme - if the community 'decides' it doesn't like a transaction they can just hard fork away. What kind of network is that? NXT did it. Now Ethereum is going to do it. Do you think Bitcoin could similarly negate a valid transaction someday just because many in the community didn't like the basis of some transaction? Crypto might not be nearly as decentralized as everyone keeps saying.
Ethereum should just let contract author that screw up take the hit. One day the Bitcoin community is going to face this same problem. I wonder how it will unfold.

It is no longer 'decentralized'. A vast majority of people want to move to bigger blocks. Only a mere quirk of the voting means enables Greg Maxwell and Blockstream to resist the change. That one single person has been able to resist this long felt need to change to 8MB is de facto proof that Bitcoin is not in a practical sense 'decentralized'. The core programmers are able to hold off a majority - easily.

Wow!, those fucking Chinese people are crazy - eh? When they look through those funny slitty eyes and see dollar signs, they go nuts buying up shit. They'll run the price through the ceiling. Better still is watching them panic. The way down can be twice as hostile. At least they bring excitement to the community. Gotta love China. Natural born gamblers.

Never before has there been even one moment in 7 years and since the genesis block that the value which is the total available number of bitcoin - ended in: '.5' Starting in July, 50% of the time, the total available number of bitcoin will end in .5
Do you think this decimal will throw some things off? decimal sometime trigger code bugs. Since we haven't seen this decimal before, there may be a line of code somewhere that is not ready for it. Could be the end of Bitcoin as we know it.

I predict that Satoshi will forever be known as a brilliant person who created a most remarkable new technology. And Maxwell will become equally famous (infamous) for having ruined that what Satoshi created simply by being a remarkable uncooperative asshole who would not listen to anyone, thus driving away all talent, and destroying the community and the network.

If Coinbase is in trouble, what about Shift? Will they die too? Does Shift have relationships with other exchanges or are they 'all in' with Coinbase? I am going out tonight to have a nice steak dinner on my Shift card that might not work tomorrow.

Well, now that the entire Craig Wright / Satoshi thing has blown over, I just want to point out that one guy summed it all up very nicely in the early stages: Craig Wright is a 'bit of a cunt'. After it all played out - that guy sure had it correct.
From here, I'd say many more people will think of him as 'a bit of a cunt' than think of him as Satoshi.

Buterin, playing contrarian, however, dismissed the idea with his assessment of the evidence.
"If you have a good way or a noisy way to prove something and you choose the noisy way, it means that you can’t do the good way," he added. Technically, he should have said: "If you have a good way and a noisy way to prove something". Doesn't it seem unlikely that Buterin would fuck up a Boolean operator in a sentence? Clearly he must know how to use these really well for programming.

This is a photograph published by CoinDesk today: In this panel, the entire worth and contribution from the only women - is represented by her shoes. While they are nice shoes, they clearly cut the only female out of the story and quite disrespectfully left a mere tiny slice of her representation. Shameful. It is no wonder women don't feel welcome in this group.

Now that we know who Satoshi is, can we get him to tell Greg Maxwell and Blockstream to fuck right off and raise the blocksize immediately so we can all get back to work doing useful things rather than pissing in the wind?

There is nothing but bitches and punks left on this forum. The quality of the threads has gone to zero. With all the censorship and strife in Bitcoin - I guess everyone quit trying to have intelligent discourse here. Every thread is the same meaningless bullshit for over 6 months now. 'How to get girls to use bitcoin'; 'do you know how I can have 1 bitcoin?'; 'Bitcoin and Porn' Lots of very dumbass bullshit.
Bitcointalk has jumped the shark.

The censorship here is just shocking. One bad word about Blockstream and you are fukced. There is no open discussion in this forum. This forum is controlled by stalin. Time to move to https://forum.bitcoin.com/ Please migrate as soon as possible. Copy your threads and participate on that site. Bitcoin's biggest attribute is anti-censorship. Very ironic that it is controlled by Blockstream idiots who live by censorship. This thread will be wiped in two minutes. Thanks Theymos

Who wants to publish their estimated date they think Ethereum will pass Bitcoin in 'market cap'?
I say: June 21, 2016

It is actually being overrun and taken over by these two clowns: •Pieter Wuille •Gregory Maxwell "Bitcoin Core: a project run by two men" - Please read thisBlockstream is a disaster for Bitcoin. It is a privately owned company who gained access to the commit access for the Core. Now, they are using that commit access as a blocking tool to cripple bitcoin with 1MB - for the purpose of making their private Liquid system more needed. This is bullshit. We need to stack the Core Dev team with guys who aren't working on private projects funded by private interests that have objectives that conflict with a good solid working Bitcoin.

Trendon once thought of firing Seibert as the case dragged on, breaking his morale. And obviously, because he didn’t have the money! He just wanted it all to end.
At this point, Seibert told him that,
“The second I am gone the SEC is going to move for summary judgement. They’re going to win a $40 million dollar judgement against you. They’ll put you in handcuffs right away after pressing criminal charges.” That's all a bitcoiner needs, an attorney who can't spell 'judgment'. lol - you know you are fucked when your attorney advises you: 'if you fire me, they take you away in handcuffs'. WTF?
