1  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / "listaccounts" and "labels" : why is it this way ? on: February 25, 2014, 01:06:29 PM
I tried to make a new address and have the same label for two addresses. When I typed "listaccounts" it showed me only the label which was the same for both addresses.

When I change the label to something else then all the addresses according to labels are listed.

Why does listaccounts show according to labels ? I mean to ask what is the logic behind it. Wouldnt showing by addresses be more meaningful ?
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / The ONLY TRUE Altcoin out there is : JKC on: February 15, 2014, 01:44:58 PM
Its JUNKCOIN

Why : Because it openly says its JUNK .. unlike most other clone coins.

Got to give some points for honesty  Tongue
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Hashrate and GPU load falling .. please help on: February 06, 2014, 06:55:01 AM
Hi,
I have 3 cards running 280x x 2 and 7950 x 1 ... for both my 280x the hashrate falls once in about 10-15 mins by 50-100 khps ... my GPU-z also shows voltage fluctuation and GPU loading fluctuation. Both 280x are new. and running at abouit 77-79 C.

What should I do ?

My PSU = 1200 W .. you think that could be the problem ?

I dont want to damage my cards/machine ... please help.
4  Economy / Speculation / Why are BTC prices not moving ? on: February 03, 2014, 05:45:59 AM
Of late BTC prices seem to have just been stuck ... why is it not moving up or down like earlier ?
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Is this normal : current problem ? on: February 01, 2014, 02:06:20 PM
Hi,
One of my cards sometimes fluctuates the current level shown in GPU-z

The normal current lievel VDDC Current is 93-94 A (Amps).

However the card sometimes falls to 76-77 A for a few seconds and comes back to the level earlier.

Is this normal ? Or it something wrong perhaps with my PSU ?

PS: I recently had one of my burnt cards replaced so don't want the same situation again.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Scrypt Mining : GPU-z showing different reading .. is it normal ? on: January 28, 2014, 05:58:17 PM
Hi,

I was mining an scrypt coin and one of my cards got a burnt capacitor. Thankfully my other cards (remainin 2) were saved (or atleast so I think and am asking about the same).

Now the problem is that when I run GPU-z on the cards which were not damaged .. i see a reading of

GPU core - 150 MHz
GPU memory - 300 MHz

This is when the cards are not mining.

This rating changes to normal default values when I start mining .. eg when I start mining with my 7950

GPU core - 925 MHz
GPU memory - 1250 MHz

However as far as I can remember, I used to see the normal default rating of 925 and 1250 earlier before one of my cards went bust, irrespective of the fact I was mining or not.

Can anybody confirm if GPU-z shows same readings when mining and when not mining ? And if it does show the same reading in both cases then does it mean that my remaining card (for eg the 7950 mentioned above) is faulty for showing lower ratings ?

Please help.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / [Fire] URGENT Rig shutdown just now with a flame, how to find fault ? on: January 17, 2014, 05:27:00 PM
So this happened just now, I saw a flame near the graphics card for about a second or two (running 2 x 280x and 1 7950) and the rig shutdown. I have a 1250 W PSU. I tried smelling the wired for burnt cables but could not find any smell. However the burnt smell was on one of the 280x cards and subsided soon thereafter. This had happened once earlier too, but I thought that I was seeing things and a flame I did not expect. Cards were running near about 80 C temperature. And it would run fine before but I had a burnt cable problem on the PSU and am using different port now for the graphocs card supply

What do I test how do I go about this ? Should I continue to mine expecting that if I stop and restart it every 12 hours or so I will "get away" with this or should I completely stop ? Kindly advice.

I am not too technical a person but can look up things online.

Need urgent help.

UPDATE : Tried with the remaining (280x and 7950) cards after removing card from which burnt smell came for a bit. And seems to be running fine for now. So I am assuming it wasn't anything with mobo or psu perhaps ? But still no idea what to do with the other card (from which burnt smell came) and how to test it ?
