1  Bitcoin / Project Development / [TUTORIAL] Running up a Bitcoin node on Synology NAS on: March 04, 2019, 12:46:01 PM
I'm not up to reformatting the whole tutorial and will just lazily invite you to visit https://bitcoindev.network/running-a-bitcoin-node-on-synology-nas/ to check it out.

It will be walking you through the steps of setting up a bitcoin node docker container on a Synology Network-attached storage (NAS) device in just a few simple steps.

In a sense, Bitcoin is about claiming back full ownership: your keys, your money. Network-attached storage is also about claiming full ownership over your data. Considering that a typical NAS might likely have spare storage, and typically runs 24/7, this makes them perfect candidates on which to run a bitcoin node.

Have fun.

3  Economy / Trading Discussion / The Case for a Crypto-Portfolio Management Tool on: September 24, 2018, 02:39:18 PM
I am happy to release Brane's white paper https://brane.cc/white-paper, arguing in favor of a portfolio management tool, describing required functionalities and setting a road map for future extensions. It concludes :

Quote
Brane will offer all the tools necessary to private investors to manage their crypto fund with a simple internet connection and computer. On top of the later, investors will be able to include or exclude any third party or asset they deem non trustworthy, following their very own analyses or belief.

In the longer term Brane, will not only connect investors and create a decentralized market for data and computing resources but will also allow anyone with limited knowledge in crypto investment to participate in this market and delegate management to Brane which will retrieve and run best proven strategies matching investor's profile.

A simple features overview can be found on project's home page https://brane.cc.

I'll be happy to receive feedback, good or bad, always welcome!
4  Bitcoin / Project Development / Kickstarting a crypto portfolio management tool on: June 14, 2018, 02:22:22 PM
After more that five years trading cryptocurrencies, I did face difficulties tracking positions held at various exchanges & wallets and realized close to nothing existed for one to track its positions without going through a third party.

I have therefore taken the initiative to start working on a tool that will be able to talk to various crypto exchanges and wallets to ease management of crypt-investments by:

-    Reading cryptocurrencies balance held at exchanges and wallets
-    Providing real-time and at date portfolio balance
-    Aggregating exchanges price data, i.e user specific price index
-    Providing quantitative market analysis
-    Automating trading

Please have a look at initial SRS on Github if you'd like to know more about it and do not hesitate to contact me to request functionality that would be important to you or if you wish to participate in product development.

--> https://github.com/roshii/brane

Once the basic features highlighted here above will be fully functional I do plan at adding functionality that would allow sharing (selling?) automated trading strategies that works best and truly decentralize investment by not relying on any third party like ETF for anyone willing to invest in crypto.
