23  Other / Meta / "Exhibit Token" violate the forum rules, @ mod. please take action. on: September 15, 2018, 05:55:42 AM
Exhibit Token asking for reply on their ANN thread by google airdrop form.
ANN Thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4918036.0
Archived: http://archive.is/RuYI9
Google form: http://archive.is/3nyyy
You can find more thread and original airdrop form here

Their airdrop form was on first reply. Last day I was report to moderator and reply has deleted. But their ANN still live.  As well I send PM to moderators regarding their thread include airdrop form.

By the way they have other thread include airdrop form that asking reply on ANN thread too. Just visit OP post history : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1627611;sa=showPosts
Archived

They post same topic (Airdrop) multiple board. I just report that reply where Google form was linked. Report main thread will mark unhadle that's why I was pm to mod at same time.

However I believe thread should moved on trash by the way. Also multiple airdrop post should remove from OP post history.

Note: I had report again to moderator for visit his post history that they are asking for reply on ANN and same post on multiple board.

Perhaps they edited ANN thread  with Google form again or there was from began. Reported again by the way.

Edit: That's the reason why I don't like to report main thread.

Can I ask why main thread report is unhandled ? Even though there is airdrop link embedded and they are asking for reply on ANN thread. Reply from same ANN and bounty thread also deleted as well. But why main thread is marked unhandled? Also I mention to visit his profile.
24  Economy / Scam Accusations / Should we stop expose scam ? And how working trust system. on: September 13, 2018, 10:04:56 PM
This is an open discussion no one should take it personally.

Since I am beginner & learner, few question around on my mind. It's not my complain or not I am blaming someone. Especially two subject I combine on this thread instade of post multiple thread.

Should we stop expose scam ICO?
Few people's are exposing scam ICO lately. I am not saying that all the accusation is 100% accurate. As we know when we report a post we can see;
Quote
one accurate report is worth many inaccurate reports.
I would like to consider this sentence for scam accusation also. What we see from began, most of exposed scam are exit with fund. However scam isn't moderated by forum and we can't blame to forum as well. We just exposed the reality, whoever want to invest we can't stop them. We just make a report about activity of ICO and post it on Scam Accusation  board. We can't judge it, unfortunately no DT also handling this kind of case lately. I know it's much difficult to judge, but it doesn't mean we should leave forum free for scammers. Usually we tagged OP ourself once we found suspicious activity or fake ICO, in fact most of ANN and bounty managed by ICO team. Sometimes we mention DT to tagged those almost obvious or possible scam, because our tagged will not reflect on their profile and forum members will not aware about their scam activity. But unfortunately we getting very low response from DT. Sometimes they tag them but very rarely. By the way they might be busy or it's depend of their own judgment they will tag or not. We can't blame also them in that case.
Question is, sometimes we found few ICO posted by higher ranked account that we called managers or whatever. For clarity, in that case we should leave him/her negetive feedback if they don't want to lock thread ? And what about  if a manager post multiple fake/ scam ICO. what should we do ?

Personally l am not much encourage to tag a higher ranked account in that case for first time. So I ask managers to lock their thread and also sometimes we get positive respons from them. Problem is if multiple accusation against a manager than what should we do ? We should leave him/her free to make more scam ICO post?

So why it's necessary exposed a scam. Should we stop expose ? Although someone no tagged but it's helping people who visiting accusation board.

I expect appropriate answers from reputed member's. We just don't want to increase our enemy and negetive feedback.

Edit: Personally I believe for become this forum most popular there is a huge role of hunters and ICO's. So I think we should care about it.

Trust System:
To be honest, I noticed lot of positive rating (green trust ) is for succesful trading, like bought some token or coin. I can't see much green trust for forum activity. Is this really need to give positive rating for successful trade ? Can't be use neutral feedback ? Why there is neutral feedback option? Shouldn't use it ? Sometimes green trust made confuse. May be someone will trust him/her blindly without check trust comment. Although green trust isn't mean a person couldn't scam but it has a value.

However please don't take it personally and I don't have aguemnt if someone not agree with me. I just want to acquire knowledge. Because recently I saw different reaction from different reputed member's. You can see here.

Sorry for broken English.

26  Economy / Scam Accusations / Scam - GENKI Token- fake team - Plagiarized whitepaper. on: September 13, 2018, 05:28:02 AM

Reason of Accusation: Fake team & whitepaper plagiarism.

They used cartoon for picture with fake LinkedIn profile those are only 5 connection . That means just newly create LinkedIn profile.

Plagiarized whitepaper: They direct copy whitpaper content from well known website quora.

Copy paste from: https://www.quora.com/Is-going-to-the-gym-good

Only 7 page whitpaper with no details information. I believe there is more plagiarism content. Right now I am on mobile just found it now. Whatever copy paste it's consider plagiarism. They steal others content without permission.

Although I am not experience coding but look like to me there is something wrong. They just copy paste others coding and never change details except Name , symbol and supply. I know open source code can copy anuyone but nothing change means developer of smart contract not professional.
Let's check  smart contract code

27  Economy / Reputation / Boldman Capital badly bumping Airdrop thread by newbie account. on: September 12, 2018, 05:22:01 PM

[BOUNTY] Boldman Capital - Airdrop to everyone!
Airdrop thread bumping badly by newbie account. Perhaps they are using paid service.

Also I was opened thread on scam accusation about their team long time ago. Although I report so many reply include thread but there is too much spam. I think thread should moved on trash.
28  Other / Archival / Alternative solutions by community instead of pushing theymos. on: September 12, 2018, 07:14:58 AM
Alternate solution by community instead of pushing  theymos. We can see lot of suggestion in last few months. Unfortunately we can't see any reaction from admin. Due to lot of suggestion I don't think it's possible implement all. Obviously there is few suggestion theymos should consider.

However there is no alternatives way to solution or reduce problems? I think we can, although not possible completely but community can reduce problems instead of just pushing admin. We can share possible solution and step up for action.

I will collect all the suggestion from hilariousetc post Community generated suggestions to improve the forum instead of search all meta post. I will picked few suggestion that possible solution or can be reduce. There is many similar suggestion, I will pick one of them.

1.

A newbie welcome message or link to a welcome thread upon sign-up explaining the basic rules and links to everything they need to know including the full forum rules, helpful guides and FAQs etc. No excuses for not knowing the rules then.

Obviously this is a good suggestion for newbie. Since there is no respons from theymos I would like to suggest sticked a post on every board like index. Subject could be Index, must read before posing or something similar. That thread should include all the information & useful thread link created by community that need to know for newbie. Like LoyceV created this thread. On the other hand I noticed there is multiple sticked post by same user few most of boards. It could be combinde in same post. On the other hand few useful topic can be sticked together. And index topic should not lock for question from newbie, so someone from community can answer them. Of course we need help from moderators for that.

Require at least one merit to become a Junior Member

There is multiple suggestion almost same about Jr. Members and remove signature. This is the most important suggestion by community & theymos should consider this suggestion. To be honest problem isn't Jr. Members , problem is signature campaign. Obviously it can be reduce by community. To avoid spamming Jr. should not allow by managers. Already some managers never accept Jr. Members. Sticked a post dedicated for managers and participant about signature campaign unofficial rules. There should be involved trust system. Should tagged managers who will allow Jr. Members, although there is so many red tagged managers. However if managers not follow than tagged Jr. Members. Tagged should be temporary until they remove signature , Of course tagged member will request to removed tag. I know it's little bit complicated, but not impossible. I believe we have not to continue it more than a month. Because between one month every one will know that he will get tagged if not follow it. As far as I know people's always try to avoid red paint. I can't see others solution except it if admin not disable sign or require small merit for become Jr. Members. If you have any other solution than share it here.

Posts from lower ranked accounts don't bump ICO threads to the top (which would then render paid bump spam useless).

Need encourage more people's for report using patrol page. There is active moderators on ICO ANN board. Sometimes take action within 10 minutes. I am not sure how to encourage people for reporting. Perhaps it would be small merit giveaway. Like 1 merit for each 500 good report. On the other hand a spam reporter couldn't spammer himself.

4.

A 'bump button' for the marketplace that only allows you to bump your thread once every 24 hours. Manually bumping by posting will then be disallowed. As mentioned above, posts by lower ranked accounts could not be able to bump threads thus curbing potential abuse.

I don't think so it's necesarry to implement on current situation, there is more important suggestion for implementation. Same comment as above I discussed, need more patroller post report.

5.

A sub board for highly merited users to encourage constructive topics only by users who have proven their worth here over time (or make the Ivory Tower merit requirement much higher [OMG ITS LIKE SOVIET RUSSIA GULAG]).
Not agree with that, if implement that community will missed lot of quality and useful post. Useful post could be post on meta or help & beginner board, so it will visible for all.

6.
Quote
Charging ICOs a fee to make their ANN here. You could even get rid of the ANN board completely and give them their own sub once they've paid the fee.

Who will be responsible for scam ? Currently no one blaming forum for scam due to not moderated by forum. But when forum will get paid than question will go to admin why you allow this ICO for sub board?

7.
Quote
Additional perks for Legendary accounts or a higher rank if added

What is next ? If added one more rank than people might ask for another rank. It's look fine current rank system.

8.
Quote
Add badges as a reward for high reporters and/or merited users
Admin already seeking for that. About merit I already discussed above.

If I am wrong , I will not argue since its my own opinion. You can share your thoughts. Also about others suggestion. Lot of more suggestion here. We can't reduce pressure from admin? I think possible reduce if we share each other what would best action by forum. No need all forum members for revolutions. Did you saw whole country people perticipate if happened any revolutions ? I don't think so. It might be hard but I don't think impossible few thing.

Please share your thought if there is alternative solutions by community about any suggested post. We can't try our best instead of blaming theymos ?
29  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / All alt coin become shit coins. on: September 12, 2018, 02:55:03 AM
Since Bitcoin holding in good position but alt coins are bleeding everyday. It's look all alt coins become shit coins. I will not surprised if alt coin price become below ICO price. Lol. I was wrong that alt coins holding more profits from Bitcoin. I have more than 50% loss on alt coins. Although I am not going to sale in loss even I have to hold more than years. But I don't think so market will recover soon. There is too much negetive news about crypto currency. And it's already effects on alt coins.

However current situation but I think this is good time to invest on crypto currency. But invest only whatever you can afford loss.

I just choose 3 topic include one of my post that I think helpful for forum & new comers.  Topics are discribe itself, I don't think to need details explanation.

Actually script maker made video himself or he hire promoter to promote fake script. Especially you will find too much video on YouTube. And there you will find so many positive comment, actually they are a scammer team. They will show you fake video that they hacked successfully. Than they will give you link same I given below. Once you download or enter link they will ask for payment to buy script or password and key. This is totally fake. Some of script for genarate private key. You believe it's possible genarate private key from others address? Never , it's not possible. If they can do it so why they need to sale script ? They can easily hacked any wallet. They can easily become billionaire. Remember it's not possible to genarate private key ever. Don't trust this kind of script.

Don't pay them if asking someone for hacking tools.

32  Other / Meta / List of inactive DT1 & DT2 from long period. on: September 10, 2018, 07:10:13 AM
Inactive DT list from long period. Those are not active more than 3 month that I considered not active. But mostly account are inactive from year. I think those are inactive more than years that account should removed from default trust (IMO) leave a feedback instead of removed. Because if in case account get hacked or compromised it will harmful for forum.

Regarding Depth 1, there is 5 inactive from 12 (exclude theymos). Only 7 are active. Look like they will never come back to forum ( not sure). So theymos could consider for increase Depth 1.
Edit: Already so many suggestion on forum, I don't think it's necesarry.

33  Other / Meta / Vote for new moderators who deserve it. @theymos please take a look. on: September 09, 2018, 04:37:07 PM
Different reaction came out from different members about selection of new moderators. Main thread about User nominated names of possible moderators for forum. Original post has been locked. This voting only thought of members of forum. I believe those are in above list they are helping forum to keep spam free.

Final decision have to take by theymos. He know better than from us who is be best for moderation of forum. This poll is just for get attention of theymos for give priority to assign new moderators of forum. Although this voting isn't hold any weight, but it's true that we need more moderators for forum.

Waiting for theymos opinion.....
34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Fake team VS no team on ICO. on: September 09, 2018, 02:18:07 PM
We know so many scam ICO exposed with fake team lately. Just across my mind from defence of scammers. Few scammers defending on scam accusation that some ICO never used team. Also we are not exposing them who have no team on website.
Let me give answer who is like to defend fake team. To be honest Fake team is more dangerous from no team. Because no team already exposed themselves. Investors are able to see there is no team. I will not surprised if they scamed. Because investors known where they are going to invest. So we don't need to exposed ICO with no team as well.

For fake team, they will scamed and divert accusation to others. Becasue they already stolen picture and identity of others innocent people's. So this is a big crime. Investors are not aware about them that they are going to scamed. Because they will see there is a team. If investors  mistakely visit their ANN Thread than he will find great team, nice team, experienced team, potential team many more. That's why we need to exposed scam ICO's with fake team.

Hello community.
I am planning to launch a good project. I need a team which is capable to take the project to great heights ahead.
I have almost whitepaper ready, with each other possible paperisation process.
The team would be listed on the official site too.
Payment would be in tokens and distrubuted amongst the team members according to the allocated percentage.
Need some experienced peoples who can work for the betterment of the project with a good promotion part too.

39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Do you think Alt coins/ ICO legit if they just listed an lower rank exchange ? on: September 08, 2018, 12:53:49 PM
Just across my mind, if Alt coins or ICO listed and lower ranked exchange it's does mean they are legit ? I don't think so. I had noticed few ICO make slogan we are on exchange to attract investors. Although they don't have any team but spending small money they are listing lower rank exchange. If you are thinking they are legit due to listed on exchange than I will give you example about Bitconnect ( BCC). Do you remember it's price growth was too high ? What is current situation ? Delisted from all exchange and now it hasn't any value.
Usually an ICO try to listed an exchange hardly. Because they want to sale their hold token. Eventually they sold their all coins and skip with found. In a result token price will drop ultimately. It's called slow poison, they will scam slowly.

However before you buy any ICO or Alt coins check how they are potential. I have a guidelines may be it will help you little.
40  Other / Meta / Why mark unhandled even reported post are deleted? [ Resolved] on: September 08, 2018, 08:41:39 AM
Moderators can answer why report are mark unhandled even reply has been deleted ?

AFAIK if reported by multiple member that will mark unhandled.  But this report are not from patrol, I don't think  that post are reported by others.

Other question, if report multiple reply from single thread and marked good than what about the main thread who are using bumping service.

For example any thread using bumping service and there is so many reply with nice project, good project , love this project, great project etc.  It's not clear indicate they are bumping ANN? In that case reply will deleted and user will ban if report someone. But what about main thread ? If main thread is live so what is benefits for report ?

Note; I report around 21 reply and 10 reply has been deleted supposed to delete all. But main thread still live.

Should not removed main thread on trash ? Should not punished them too ?
