3  Economy / Economics / AI Stocks now 44% of S&P 500 (x12 of bitcoin marketcap) on: November 12, 2025, 01:32:55 AM
AI related companies now make up about 44% of the S&P 500’s market capitalization Valuations for many are extremely high with median forward P/E ratios near 31x, similar to dotcom bubble levels. The total valuation is near $2.5 Trillion for the 38 AI related companies most of it comes from debt. 12 times more than bitcoin and over 7 times the price of all cryptocurrencies, just talking about the 38 AI companies in S&P 500. As for utility, there are limited and with fierce competition, the prices of the actual products and services would be low.

https://www.bankofengland.co.uk/bank-overground/2025/all-chips-in-ai-related-asset-valuations-financial-stability-consequences

It's not about would it burst but when would it. People investing in S&P 500 or those index funds are not diversifying their investment but putting their money straight into the bubble. This also endangers 401(k) retirement plan in the US with a subsequent AI bubble burst taking US and the whole world in long recession. Are you prepared for the bubble burst? What effects would it have on bitcoin and cryptocurrencies as a whole?
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Johnny Harris talks about Bitcoin on: October 28, 2025, 01:54:32 PM
Prominent Youtube journalist Johnny Harris recently discussed bitcoin in his latest video Gold Explained, Finally.

While explaining about Gold, he claims when people have less trust towards the government and fiat, they turn to gold and in modern times, something similar to gold and claims Bitcoin to be the digital gold.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JMObz0Dgq7M&t=1920s

With bitcoin getting prominent explanation time on such traditional platform, there ought to be more interest in bitcoin and its economics as a matter of study in academics and research as well in public as an investment and role of it in financial systems.
Would the day come when central banks around the world store bitcoin in cold wallets and issues bills against it?

6  Economy / Speculation / Bitcoin 190K in 2024? on: March 24, 2024, 01:21:15 PM
A very important event is scheduled to happen this April. Around April 16 or 17. It's bitcoin halving again. i.e. number of bitcoin rewarded for mining a block would be halved. It meas half bitcoin reward for equal task for miner. That would also decrease the liquidity in bitcoin provided by the miners. The miners operate on small margin and many could go on loss if they sold their reward for current price so they won't be willing to sell it unless price moves up. Bitcoin in past have seen a good price boost after the halving. And many prediction models place the future price of bitcoin into 190K.
Is 190K too humble or very generous in your consideration? What's your price plans for selling your holdings?
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Binance raised withdrawal fees again? on: April 09, 2021, 04:27:49 AM
The withdrawal fees were changed from 0 to 0.2 a month ago for the withdrawal of USDT as TRC20. I went with withdrawing some USDT from binance to Kucoin to buy some velo but the withdrawal fees taken were $1. It's absurd how much binance is charging for withdrawal when the fees from blockchain are most probably free for binance as they are super representative on tron blockchain.
I use binance for it's cheaper transaction fees but these these unnecessary withdrawal fees are going to be a push factor as newer exchanges too are coming with aggressive promotions.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Bahamas becomes the next nation to launch National Digital Currency on: October 21, 2020, 02:42:39 AM
Central bank of Bahamas has launched the National Digital Currency. It's a distributed ledger, blockchain based technology but the coins would be regulated and minted by the central bank. Similar to what many other countries have launched.
Called the sand dollar, its price would be pegged to Bahamian dollar and would be used for domestic transaction across the island nation. The users would need to go through a KYC first and the transaction fees are told to be negligible.

9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Chinese central bank to airdrop 10 million digital yuan on: October 11, 2020, 05:09:24 PM
It's not for everybody though. The Chinese city Shenzhen, often referred as Silicon Valley of China, would distribute 10 million yuan ($2 million) worth of new Chinese digital currency to 50,000 of it's lucky residents. The people would be put into a lottery to bring out the winners.
It is done to test the new system and boost the adoption and use of Chinese Digital Yuan currency. The Chinese digital Yuan is already accepted in a number of retails.

13  Other / Off-topic / Lockdown, a great time for digital fast on: April 12, 2020, 02:55:31 AM
What is digital fast?

Giving up all digital devices for a short period of time, such as a day or up to a week.

Why digital fast?

There are many reasons why you might want to give up your mobile phone and other devices for a brief time. You might want to enjoy time to yourself without the interference that your phone and other devices create. In other cases, you might feel like your device use has become excessive and is adding too much stress to your life.

In some situations, you might even feel like you are addicted to your devices. While technology addiction is not formally recognized as a disorder in the DSM-5, many experts believe that tech and device overuse represents a very real behavioral addiction that can lead to physical, psychological, and social problems.

Signs You Might Need a Digital Detox

  • You feel anxious or stressed out if you can't find your phone
  • You feel compelled to check your phone every few minutes
  • You feel depressed, anxious, or angry after spending time on social media
  • You are preoccupied with the like, comment, or reshare counts on your social posts
  • You’re afraid that you'll miss something if you don't keep checking your device
  • You often find yourself staying up late or getting up early to play on your phone
  • You have trouble concentrating on one thing without having to check your phone

I'm going on a 48 hours digital fast starting from the time of this post. I'll not be using any electric or electronic devices including electric lights, digital heating/cooling, digital cooking device, switching off both electricity mains and phone/router connection.
I know It may seem extreme, but I need to make sure I'm in control of myself.

This channel's name is Binance and probably is a fake or a hacked one. This has 240K subscribers and giving away free Bitcoin https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-vh5cTaiJso
Which is most probably a scam.

Here's their catch
Quote
✅If you send 0.1+ Bitcoin, you will be airdropped 1+ BTC back.
✅ If you send 0.25+ Bitcoin, you will be airdropped 2.5+ BTC back. +20% bonus
✅ If you send 0.5+ Bitcoin, you will be airdropped 5+ BTC back. +25% bonus
✅ If you send 1+ Bitcoin, you will be airdropped 10+ BTC back. +30% bonus
✅If you send 5+ Bitcoin, you will be airdropped 50+ BTC back. +50% bonus
✅ If you send 10+ Bitcoin, you will be airdropped 100+ BTC back +80% bonus

Do anyone has an idea what that channel is and how they reached 240K subscribers?

20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / US Lawmakers want's a National Digital Currency on: October 03, 2019, 03:23:10 PM
Two Republican Lawmakers French hill and Bill foster wrote a formal letter to the FED asking about the plans of a Digital dollar and proposing it.
PDF to the letters

Facebook's Libra has been mentioned to justify the need
"The Facebook/Libra proposal, if implemented, could remove important aspects of financial governance outside of US jurisdiction."

“We are concerned that the primacy of the U.S. Dollar could be in long-term jeopardy from wide adoption of digital fiat currencies. Internationally, the Bank for International Settlements conducted a study that found that over 40 countries around the world have currently developed or are looking into developing a digital currency.”

“With the potential for digital currencies to further take on the characteristics and utility of paper money, it may become increasingly imperative that the Federal Reserve take up the project of developing a U.S. dollar digital currency.”

Would it influence the FED to release a block-chain based currency? What are you thoughts on them?
