1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / More of a technical question regarding HDD space on: April 13, 2018, 09:55:57 AM
Hello guys!
First of all, I would like to thank you all for taking the time to look at my thread.

Last weekend I made a complete new OS install on my rig, completely formatting the whole SSD and afterwards I ofc installed the OS again.
I have downloaded a couple of miners and just 1 wallet on my rig. I haven't been much in the net, just because I am kinda afraid of malware etc, so I am not really using the system besides mining.
Yesterday I wanted to check something and saw that I have only 6.5GB free on my hard drive. I tried to delete everything I found not usefull, tried to delete downloads, cache, temp files but I was only able to free 500MBs.
I scanned all folders I have on my C: drive and they are a lot less that 120GB - https://imgur.com/a/Qa5qk.
So the question is what exactly is going on with the storage? I haven't enabled bitlocker or some encrypting software.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Cannot install the latest drivers, please help on: April 07, 2018, 12:25:21 PM
Hello guys!
I was until today with the 18.2.1 AMD drivers and I saw today that there is an update, so I've decided to make the update and try the rig with the newest ones.
So, as usual, I ran the DDU to uninstall the drivers, before that I've downloaded the new ones, had prepared myself as always and I even downloaded the latest version of the DDU, just to be really up-to-date with everything and I ran it, thus my reason now to write here:

    1. The first funny thing I noticed is that when I tried to uninstall the drivers, it did not boot into safe mode to do it, just uninstalled the drivers straight away and after that it just rebooted the computer. I never got into Safe Mode, but I thought that's just the new version and it rolls like that.
    2. After the reboot, I tried to install the drivers. As I ran through almost the whole process and the drivers started installing, in the middle of the loading bar the screen became black and it stood like that for a couple of minutes. I had to make a hard-reset so that my rig would be operational again and tried to run the miner to see if everything was okay, but it crashed right after the cmd windows came up and I read in the log files, that it crashed because there's not operatable GPU.

As I right-clicked on the desktop I was also not seeing RADEON settings to switch the modes - computing/gaming etc.

Currently, I am reinstalling the drivers for the 4-5th time and I cannot seem to find any solution to this problem!
Can anyone of you help out somehow?
