1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Cold start -> buggy control board? on: May 18, 2018, 02:33:40 AM
I'm starting to schedule my Antminers to turn off and on to take advantage of time of use power price.

I've noticed if they are down during the day and then I start them late in the night that they come up very buggy.  Many of the hashboards won't show up, temperatures are totally wacky, bad to no hashrate on some.  Then if I restart them after a few minutes they get better and everything starts acting normal.

Have others seen this? I'm wondering if maybe condensation is getting on the control boards during the day as they cool down (it has been very rainy and humid lately).  Any other ideas?
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Can you use a D3 fan on an L3+? on: May 13, 2018, 03:36:02 AM
I have an intake fan on an L3+ that is starting to go bad but I have some D3's I'm not using.  Anyone know if they are compatible? can I swap out the L3 fan with a D3 one?
3  Bitcoin / Mining support / Stopping/pausing mining command for antminers via API or Awesomeminer, etc.? on: April 22, 2018, 03:39:21 PM
I'm looking into how to automate scheduling of my antminers (variety of S9s, L3s, A3s, D3s) to take advantage of time of day energy prices.  I was looking into Awesomeminer or doing my own scripting/API with the cgminer running the Antminers.  But I can't seem to find where you can stop the miners but keep them awake so you can restart them later.  I only can find reference to changing the frequency for OC/UC.  Anyone know of a command to do this?

My other alternative is to use hardware via smart switches but I'd rather do it via commands and scripting if I can.
