Shitcoins are currently the flavor of the month after the big success of dogecoin. They are popping up left and right and while some can be legit, most are pump and dump schemes or even worse have wallets with trojans or other type of malicious code in them. Be careful what you download. If it sounds too good to be true it probably is.

So I came across this little site that tells you if you got paid for mining for Team Ripple at World Community Grid. I had trouble figuring out whether or not I was getting paid or not but this helps confirm it.

The amounts will be paid out proportionally to the total account balance. We take a snapshot every 6 hours and pay out based on the account balance at that point in time. We reserver the right change the schedule without prior announcement.
This feature is currently limited to BTC, LTC and PPC; for the next 3 months. Should sufficient interest be shown, we may extend it to other coins as well as extend the time frame.

How do I get my wallet to update. I just downloaded the newest version of the wallet and it cant connect and update the blockchain.
