1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Sapphire 7950 2 of 4 have low hashrate on: February 05, 2014, 05:09:41 PM
Hey guys, I have a weird issue with my 7950s.

They worked fine at 620 KH/s, but they hanged twice during last 2 days (it seems like machine kept mining actually, but I could not ssh into it anymore or access the web interface).

After today's hang 2 cards did not work (cgminer showed 511 C temp, 0 fan, no hashrate but no dead/sick either). I tried rebooting a few times but same story (cgminer works, but 2 cards showing that weird details).
I disconnected 2 cards but cgminer wouldn't start then, it seems the driver did not detect any cards or there was some error. After that I disconnected one more, that worked, then I connected back 1, it worked now (wtf?), then I connected all 4 cards and they all work now.

I was mining Vertcoin (using vertminer) while this happened, but I don't think it could have anything to do with it. I was on BAMT 1.3.

However now 2 cards have a hashrate of 775 KH/s, while the other two have same as before (620 KH/s).

Card: Sapphire 7950 with Boost
Mem clock: 1250
Engine clock: 1010
Undervolted @ 1.081 V
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / [ANN] FarmCP - Web-based Rig Control Panel on your rig (Linux, BAMT) on: January 29, 2014, 10:07:58 PM
Hello guys,

I want to share a little dashboard I've made for my farm. I am using BAMT 1.3 on my rigs, but the web interface was not good enough, I wanted to at least be able to switch pools without sshing to each of my rigs.

Features:

* only need to install on one of your rigs
* works on any Linux-based system
* open-source and free
* pretty cool dashboard on which you can monitor all your rigs hashrate, temperature and rejected shares
* ability to add a pool to all of your rigs at the same time, and switch pools on each rig
* anyone can contribute new features (Ruby on Rails project)

Download and installation instructions:

Let me know if you find it helpful. Security audit welcome, some people are always paranoid Smiley
I will also probably implement a simple API, which will be supported in my iOS app (Android coming soon).
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / ASRock BTC, 6x280X on Linux? on: January 26, 2014, 03:46:35 AM
Looking to buy new rigs with the ASRock BTC motherboard which supports 6 GPUs.

I have heard about problems with AMD drivers and more than 5 GPUs. Does anyone know about this? Do 6 GPUs work fine on Linux with the latest drivers or are there problems?

Also I heard from one source that you should not power your risers on this board, but from another source I've heard that you should power a few or the motherboard can still fry.

Does anyone have this setup and can share experience?
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Hosted mining dashboard (25 users only) on: January 19, 2014, 11:00:48 PM
I've made a little dashboard that I put on my raspberry and an old monitor so I can see the status of my miners and some other stuff, or to check from my mobile phone. I decided to share it with a few people (25 for now), if I get any donations to cover the costs I'll open it up more.

Site: http://coin.mrbrdo.net/ (I didn't bother to style the registration page)
Registration is limited, if you only see login then registrations are closed.

You need to open the port for CGMiner RPC in your router (read-only), if you have multiple just use different ports. You need dyndns or a static IP so the server can update data from your cgminers. There are more instructions on the site where you add the miners. If you don't know how to do this or don't want to do it then don't use it.
The profit information is just current mining profitability and averages over periods of time... It is not related to what you're actually mining.
