2  Local / Biete / 2,8 MHash Mining Rig on: April 01, 2014, 02:32:27 PM

6  Local / Biete / ASUS 280x on: March 25, 2014, 05:26:04 PM

Like the title suggests I want to buy some R9 280X or 290X.
I live in Europe and you have to either accept escrow or have a high trust rate.

PM me your prices and if your GPU still got warranty and how long it has been used.

Payment in BTC, Doge or LTC.
10  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Faulty PSU? on: January 16, 2014, 04:45:48 PM
'Sup

I've got my rig running for about 3 weeks non stop and yesterday my PSU made some high pitched tones and turned down. I can still start it up but as soon as cgminer gets all cards on 100% the PSU shuts off. After it shut off I have to unplug it and wait a few minutes so I canl restart the PC.
Could this really a faulty PSU be? It has 1500 Watt, so it got enough to run all the components.

The PSU is only 3 weeks old that's why I'm curios. That would be bullshit, costed 320 Euro.
Do I have warranty for such cases?
11  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Ubuntu 13.10 doesn't recognize third GPU on: January 07, 2014, 04:56:50 PM
'Sup,

I just got my new GPU today and built it into my rig.
So far I've got 2x R9 280X Battlefield 4 Edition and my new one is a R9 280X XFX which Ubuntu doesn't recognize.
I already reinstalled all my drivers and did all things like:
export DISPLAY=:0
export GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT=100
export GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS=1

aticonfig --lsa
sudo aticonfig --adapter=all --initial
sudo aticonfig --adapter=all --odgt

But nothings helps, even after several reboots.

lspci | grep VGA doesn't recognize my third GPU either although it's working (fans are blowing). You got any ideas?
12  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / 38 gh/s blockeruper 285$ on: January 06, 2014, 04:00:02 PM
Hey,

I can get my hands on a 38GH/s asic miner (blockerupter) for 285$ incl. shipping.
What do you think, is this a good deal? I'm fairly new to asic mining.
13  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / 1 PSU 2 Motherboards on: January 03, 2014, 04:06:25 PM
Hey,

I am currently using a 1500W PSU which only got one 24 pin connector.
Is there any adapter or another way how I could plug in another motherboard?
I don't want to buy another PSU and when I first bought this one I didn't really think about that 1500w uses a lot... >.<

And I've got another question.
I've got one spare PCIex1 slot on my motherboard, can I use a PCIe Riser x1 to x16 and then use another GPU on that ?

Any help would be appreciated.
14  Other / Beginners & Help / Mining rig running too hot on: December 27, 2013, 12:56:33 PM

Hey,

I'm new to mining and I thought I'd try out building a mining rig. Everything works fine except my GPUs are running way too hot (I'm mining scrypt btw, not sha-256).

I've got 2x R9 280x Battlefield 4 Edition.
I've got them both overclocked with the following settings and they both run at 730.
--lookup-gap 2 --thread-concurrency 8192,8192 --gpu-engine 1060,1060 --gpu-memclock 1500,1500 --auto-fan --temp-cutoff=90 --temp-over 85

First GPU: 85 ° Celsius
Second GPU: 78° Celsius

There is space between them and I could fit another one in.
I've got them both in a case and I tried various setups. All in all I've got 7 Fans + the 6 from the gpu itself.
no matter how I change the setup (case lying down, standing, fans blowing in different ways), the temp always stay the same
Even with following setup the temp won't decrease:
front sucking in
top sucking in
back blowing out
4x side blowing in

They all run on 100% but nothing changes. If the room has 5 or 25° degrees only changes the temperature about 5° overall. What am I doing wrong? I feel like those temps are way to high. No risers at the moment, will they do any significant change? I'm planning on putting another one in but then there is no space left between the 2 gpus.
