1  Economy / Trading Discussion / 1% daily trading with $170 - When will it get hard to achieve 1% daily profits? on: December 04, 2017, 11:07:48 AM
Hi there, when finally saw the potencial in crypto I started to hold my coins, and I was very reluctant to trade or even spend my coins, because I realized how much money I was losing over time. I know avoid spending as much as possible, but I decided to allocate a very small amount to trade. I see it as a game, and I want to see how far I can go.

I don't have a good trading background, and I only did sports trading when I bet at Betfair, and I am now applying the same basic concepts in crypto trading. I'm scalping the market trying to explore the big variations in price. I'm only trying to gain around 1% a day, and I always use my entire stake. I started with $170, that is of course a very small amount.

So my question is, when will it get hard to do what I do?
With $170 it's really easy to get my stack matched, and with the price variations I have no problem getting 1% daily profit out of my trades. I started 4 days ago and I now have $180.

If I keep this up I would be doing 30% a month, and that is huge, according to what I read from other traders, so does this mean that if I try to do these trades with higher amounts of money it will get harder? If so, why is that? Is it because my stacks will not get matched so easily, and I will need to be exposed more time, and won't get my trades finished in just one day?
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Help receiving BCH on: August 23, 2017, 09:59:31 AM
Hi there, I was trying to claim my BCH, but I'm having trouble doing it.
I had my coins on multibit classic by the time of the fork. I have my private keys, but I don't have a seed because they that wallet doesn't use it. I also have my qr code.

My first option was using Coinomi. I made a sweep of my wallet using private key, and then trying with the code but no transaction is made. My BCH are still in the same address, and I can't receive them. After that I tried bcc-wallet.btc.com, but it requires the seed, and like I said I only have the private key.

Any of you had problems receiving the coins from multibit classic to Coinomi, or to any other wallet?
Also if I can't use any of those two, which one do you recommend?
3  Economy / Trading Discussion / Exchanges that offer loan options on: May 18, 2017, 04:08:04 PM
Hi, I've joined poloniex, and I tried some trading, but then I saw the lending options they had.
We can offer loans, that are used for margin trading, everything is run by the site, so we don't even have to deal with the users.
Right now it seems safe, and I like that option.
I'm still new to the exchanges and trading area with BTC, so my questions is:

Are there more exchanges that offer this kind of options, and if so, are they as safe as poloniex, and do they offer better % on average, etc?
4  Economy / Trading Discussion / New to Trade - Is copy trade a good option? on: May 11, 2017, 08:54:51 AM
Hi guys, I just saw this thread "advertising" the 1broker copy trade option. It seems like a good idea for someone like me, that does not know much about trading. I know the concept and I did something similar in sports betting, by using betting exchanges and make some profit by buying and selling my bets. The thing is I know a few things about sports, but I don't know anything about financial markets.

I used to trade on betfair, but it's no longer available for my country, and the bitcoin options are just not good enough right now for me.

I'm considering getting back into trading and I saw this copy trade thing. Is it good, have any of your tried? Is it only available on 1broker, or do you recommend more sites with this options?

Thanks in advance.
5  Economy / Gambling / It finally happened to me! 3.8 BTC in profit @betcoin.tm xD on: March 09, 2016, 12:55:21 AM
Hello guys after reading so many stories about wining a lot in gambling I always kept wondering if I would ever be able to do it.
It's not such an amazing story, of how you win 40BTC plus, but I did went from 0.5 to 2.5, just withdraw 1 BTC and after playing some more won another 0.4 and I'm at 1.9 BTC now. So around 2.4 BTC in profit right now!!! Hell yeah xD

So for me this is really great stuff xD
A decent amount in sports betting, but most of the profit was on the roulette. Let's see how far can I go!

Progress:

Gambling site: betcoin.tm
Started with: 0.5 BTC
Total withdrawn: 3.8 BTC
Current bankroll: 0 BTC
Bet stake: 45mBTC

"Strategy used:"
Voisins du Zero (neighbours of zero) in the european roulette (both live and betcoin.tm)
http://onlineroulette.org.uk/bets/voisins-du-zero/
No martingale, although I double the bet from time to time
6  Economy / Gambling / Casino game with lowest house edge (that is not dice) on: February 01, 2016, 02:29:52 PM
Hello guys what is the lowest edge for a casino game, that is not dice?
I did some research and for now the best ones seems to be black jack, french roulette and craps.

I think dice and black jack are boring, so for now I'm searching for french roulette and craps, but if you know any other casino games with even a lower house edge let me know.

Also, do you know any good and trusted casino with french roulette or craps?
Thanks, in advance.
7  Economy / Exchanges / Experiencing problems with Payza withdrawal by bank transfer on: January 25, 2016, 11:59:26 AM
Hello, I have been experiencing problems with Payza withdrawal recently, and I would like to know if anyway has faced a similar problem, and how did you solve it.

My last successful withdrawal was taking more than the 5 business days and I started a chat conversation with the support. They said that it could go up to 6 days and it should be processing shortly. I waited and it got the "completed status" on the next day, and then after 3 more days I got it at my bank account.

Recently I started another withdrawal on the 11th January and it is still "pending" in the Payza account. I contacted chat support again, on the 21st January, and they apologized and said that they would contact the financial department to analyze the issue, and they would contact me in 3 more days. Today on the 25th January (4 days later) I still have no response and can't contact them through the chat support. After 10min the chat closes, and i already tried 3 times.

Any ideas on what to try next? Have you faced any similar issues?

(The money was deposited in my Payza account through BTC, and then converted to euros.)
8  Economy / Gambling / Would you be up for a Poker League for members of this forum? on: January 02, 2016, 11:56:34 PM
Hello guys, I'm a poker and sports betting enthusiastic. I'm glad to see the sports betting thriving in this forum.
Every day we see new tipsters threads, and we even now have a competition for tipsters, in which I participated and that is now in the IV edition.

So the big question is:

What about poker?

Would you like to see a monthly Poker League in this forum?
If so what would you like it to have?

I think it would be great if we had some exclusive tournaments for us during the week, and at least one could be a freeroll, and we could get points from participating, based on the place we finish in the tournament, etc, and in the end of the month prizes would be paid for the top players in the league.

Let me know what you think about this. What would you like to see in a Poker League?
9  Economy / Gambling discussion / Portuguese League Prediction Thread (Primeira Liga) on: November 28, 2015, 09:06:56 PM
Ok I don't see a league for Portuguese football, and I'm sure I'm not the only one seeing Primeira Liga.
It's not a big league, but it's getting better, and although the favourites are always the same, we have some unexpected results from time to time, so it's competitive enough I think.

I will start with my first prediction, and hope you guys start following with your own.

Tondela v Porto (live bet)
Under 2.5 Goals @ 1.76

Even after the game of Tondela vs Benfica I don't think they will concede to many goals here.
I think Porto will win, but it will not be an easy game. These teams just defend and get "lucky" from time to time. It's hard to get solution sometimes.
So it will probably stay under 2.5
10  Economy / Gambling / The Future of BTC Poker on: July 30, 2015, 07:08:17 PM
Hello, I really enjoy playing poker and after seeing so many rooms "ban" players from some countries etc I decided to try btc poker, the problem is that there aren't many players out there yet. I'm playing on betcoing.ag for now, and it's good compared to the others I tried, but I still can't play in a lot of tables at the same time, and to do that I have to enter in tables with different blinds which can "ruin" a session, and even like that, depending on the time of the day, sometimes I can't play even at 3 tables on the same time.

So my question is:

Why don't btc poker rooms create a poker network like Ipoker?

They would still have their clients and separate accounts etc, but players would all play on the same network. That would really help the btc poker community and it would be good for casinos to, because more players would probably make the change, like I'm trying to do.

I mean if that works for big poker rooms, why can't work for btc poker? I really don't get it.
11  Economy / Gambling / Recomended poker rooms (poll version) on: July 20, 2015, 10:32:45 AM
This discussion started in this thread
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1127239.0

But there was no voting mechanism and after a few suggestions I decided to create this one with a poll. You can continue the suggestions and discussion here, and you can add more poker rooms to the poll.

The objective here is to vote on the poker room you would recommend and explain why, so that it's easier for someone to start trying some btc poker rooms, and with the hope that the player base might start growing in some of the best rooms. For now I believe that most btc rooms have a very small player base and there are many rooms out there, so it's hard to choose one that is reliable and trust worthy.
12  Economy / Gambling / Recomended poker rooms on: July 18, 2015, 09:33:26 AM
Hello, I decided to give btc poker rooms a try, and I'm looking for decent poker rooms to play.
I've already searched to forum and saw room that have problem with their player base, and it's hard to find players to play aggainst, I already saw problems with rooms opening and then just closing etc

So I hope you could help and give some feedback on the rooms you trust and that have a decent player base, so I can give it a try.

Thank you!
(no video poker, or casino poker based games, I wanted normal poker rooms)

I will keep a list here, so this thread might be useful and easy to read for everyone.

14  Other / Off-topic / Huxley Model help!!! on: April 16, 2015, 09:59:23 PM
Can anyone explain me the Huxley model? I know it has something to do with frogs and muscle contraction (or fibers, but it tries to generalize to the muscle I think). I tried to read it on wiki but it did not help, and I could not find the experiment itself and I need to understand that for school.

Any help is appreciated, even if it comes on the form of links or reading material.

Thanks!

16  Other / Politics & Society / 5th Mass extintion on: July 25, 2014, 11:45:24 PM
According to a recent study (http://www.sciencemag.org/content/345/6195/401) scientists warn we are approaching the next mass extinction.
What are your thoughts on this topic, and how do you think that will affect us.
The most interesting part for me, is that the other 4 mass extinctions were probably caused by natural events such as super-volcano eruptions or asteroids strikes, but this next is will be our fault... We are as destructive as a super-volcano eruption lol that can't be good :/
17  Other / Off-topic / Teaching martial arts to children, and Martail Arts in general on: April 25, 2014, 02:52:02 PM
Hello, I practice Krav-Maga (which is an self-defense system created in Israel) and I help teaching karate to children in a non-profit project.
I created this thread so we can share general videos about Martial Arts (because they are always amazing), but the main purpose is to help share ideas about exercises that can help children evolve their skill. It could be just a video, or a description of an exercise.
I can't post videos about my own classes because of privacy rights, so I will describe the exercises or use youtube videos.

It can be anything but it would be really amazing if the video or exercise could have a game component. Because itīs a lot easier for children to learn that way.
If you have used the exercise already, reactions on how the children responded, so as feedback used to help them develop would be great.

Here is the first one I will try to help them develop their movement skills.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sxwLTA7EwUs

I will describe how it worked out when I test it next practice.
In the meanwhile feel free to post your own videos about practice, or as I said about martial arts in general.
