Pretty sure I already know the answer but just wanted to verify. If I have 3 identical cards in my system but only 2 bridged together, will that allow me to mine on all 3 but only use 2 in crossfire when gaming? I've never had a good experience with tri-fire so I want to stay away from it. Thanks.

I am trying to sell my PNY GTX 470 XLR8 Performance Edition. It is one with the black PCB that was bios flashed to be sold as a GTX 465. The stickers still say GTX 465, but I reflashed it with the stock 470 bios and it is fully unlocked, with all 1.25GB of memory. (google PNY GTX 465 Black PCB to learn more). It works great and is in good condition except for one thing, when using HDMI the video signal will cut out if the cord is sagging and pulling down on the HDMI port. I was into mining for quite a while with 3 5850s in tri-fire, but I sold 2 of them because I needed money and there were just too many bugs to use it as a decent gaming machine. I bought a GTX 470 to use as my primary gaming card and I'm just trying to figure out if there's a way to throw the 5850 in with the GTX 470 and use it to mine bitcoins, or if I should just sell it too. Just to clarify I don't want to mine with the 470 because that would be counterproductive. Thanks.
