Hey Minersource when are you going to send more refunds like you promised?
Dallas5: $800
Total: $800
I ordered 2 X1's last year, asked and was promised to receive a refund after they could not ship the miners on the promised time. Still waiting for my refund.
How much money do you still need to receive from minersource? I'll add it to the list.
The list is based on trust and might not be accurate, I only want my money back and have every right to complain.

You can vote 2 times and the pol runs for 90 days.
A coin's name tells a lot about the coin. Most coins with silly names will never be taken seriously by the public, the exception might be dogecoin.
My advice would to only invest in coins with a good sounding strong marketable name like bitcoin, blackcoin, mintcoin, primecoin, etc. and avoid any silly or animal related name.
To strengthen my point you can find most names in the poll way below on the bottom of lists sorted by trading volume ready to be delisted.
What do you think, does a name count?

Just use BTC or satoshi (0.00000001) like in:
I just bought a car for 10 BTC! The new Final Fantasy game will cost only 15000 satoshi!
Using mBTC, uBTC, μBTC is just unnecessary, sounds like a different coin and it will confuse a lot of people.
Coinedup and a few other sites are guilty of using mBTC.
1 satoshi is the smallest unit of BTC that's all people should have to learn. If you want massive user adoption you have to simplify things.

On a scale of 1 - 100, with 100 being full worldwide adoption and usage where does bitcoin stand?

I used to follow several coins and keep an eye on new ones.
But now I won't mind if people just stop waisting time on new coins, let the market settle and concentrate on their current favourite ones. Personally I'm just sticking to two coins, bitcoin & mintcoin. If everyone would only focus on current and older coins maybe they will have a chance to grow and increase in volume and adoption. But if people keep jumping from coin to coin for a quick pump & dump nothing great will happen.
So anyone else getting tired of new coins and/or sticking to just a few crypto's?

I'm trying to find out how much trust everyone has in the cryptocurrency (alt)coin world.
Do you think we're still at the beginning, have we reached the top, are we in the middle? How much do you think the marketcaps will be in 2015?

Every day a new coin comes a long most of them won't survive longer then a month. A lot of people try to mine new coins from the start or temporarily point their miners to another coin. I was wondering how many coins do you hold of dead coins that looked promising but are essentially useless now?
Dead coin criteria: Coin has no exchanges or 0 buy orders, very little or no active users, more then a week old.
I got a million Peace coins, 2 million CCoins, 400 Boschi coins and some other coins that might end up useless soon.

There are now a lot of merchants accepting mintcoins, litecoins, dogecoins and many other coins. But without people actually buying stuff with their coins, those merchants will become dissapointed with their decision to accept a new digital currency. What did you buy with your altcoins?

With 250, 16, 100 MHs, .. scrypt asics being released this year the difficulty of normal scrypt coins like litecoin, USDECoin, leafcoin and many others will skyrocket. Early big asic adopters will have massive profits followed by a sharp decline to a normal profit when the diff increases.
How will it affect the scrypt altcoin prices?
It's not all bad, at least not for scrypt GPU miners, graphic cards, unlike those one purpose block erupter, can still be sold to gamers. Scrypt asics make it easy for non tech savy user to start mining at a decent rate without building a huge gpu farm. There are other scrypt asic resistent algorithms out there for coins and many coins will adopt these.
Will you be an earlier adopter of high hashrate scrypt asics or stick to GPU mining?

Coinex and Cryptorush are now both down.Doesn't look like a coincidence.. Hope my and your coins are still there when it's back up. Cryptorush tweetered that this happened after a massive buy of BTCs.

While the currently available dualminer gets you 70khs for $100 a new company called Zeus is coming with its own usb scrypt miner.
disregard, scam.
It's a new unknown player in the crypto world so it still has to prove itselves.
Always research any company before sending them large amount of money/bitcoins.

Looking at the exchanges a lot of alt coins are going down in price.
Many alt coins, you know who they are, are just created to (pre)mine fast and then dump millions and sell as soon as it hits an exchange. The devs earn a few $1000 real dollars and everyone else was tricked into thinking it was going to be the best coin ever, leaving them with coins not even worth a satoshi.
Some coins are looking stable like anoncoin, novacoin, etc. but most of the other coins will die out in a few months and I believe people are getting sick of new coins and the hype will soon be gone.
The only coin still standing strong like a giant and rising to the moon is BTC. It's used in real world stores and even your grandma has probably heard of Bitcoin. Another one is LTC, but that coin looks like a backup coin, ready to take over if anything happens to BTC.
What do you think?
