Hi, I have recently joined and just wanted to know how many posts you need to put on the newbie section before you can start to post on other topics within the forum, is anyone else confused about what you must do in order to elevate your status? I read that you must also write a sufficient amount on your post here, otherwise it will not be counted so I hope that this post qualifies for this. Hi I am new here and have been reading a lot of different posts on mining alt coins, this is a really great Forum loads of good advice!
I have decided to start contributing where I can.

I have been mining the new Monacoin and Giftcoin over the last few days, I am hashing with around 850KH/s and have about 400 Mona Coin and only 50 Giftcoin, does this sound about right? I am quite new here so just wanted some advice on this.

I was really annoyed to find out that after downloading the Giftcoin QT wallet and after solo mining giftcoin for 45 min since last nights launch, all the blocks I found which generated 6000 coins were all extinct / orphaned and subsequently disappeared, I read that this can happen if you are on a fork from the Genesis block and when your chain stops you lose all the value it generated, any thoughts on this? 

I switched to the following pool: https://gifts.bettercoin.org band have been mining all night but it only reports that I have a hashrate since 08:00 GMT, some issue with the Database overloading! so what happens to all of the coins I have mined last night? I should have received a lot more than 50 for all my accepted shares?

I am quite new here so any help and advice on the above will be greatly appreciated.

PS. when are there going to me any exchanges available for these coins?
