1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / [ANN] [CIN] Cinder on: November 07, 2014, 12:13:16 AM

Generation:
Cinder [CIN] is the new developer's rebranding of FlexibleCoin [FLEX].
FLEX was mined during a 10+ day X15 Algo Proof of Work stage.
Most coins have since been purchased by investors on markets such as
Bittrex and Cryptsy, giving the coin wide distribution to long term holders.

Note: Some exchanges are still trading CIN under the name of FLEX.
You can buy FLEX and send it to your CIN wallet without issue.

Web Wallet
Merchant API

One of our first jobs will be to design a web wallet and merchant API to easily allow integration of Cinder payments and payouts into any website, including our own.

Earth Assembly
Website: http://www.earthassembly.org
Screen Shots: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.397325503714730.1073741831.104191973028086&type=3

Earth Assembly is a social network that features community, city, cantonal, bio-regional, and global assemblies with the ability to create, vote on, and fund proposals. There are also features for trading goods and services, as well as the standard social networking features for creating and sharing posts and pictures. Cinder will exclusively power the site's e-commerce features.

Micro-Payment Tools for Browser-Based Games

We will improve on the web wallet and merchant API systems and streamline them for micro-payments in browser-based games. During this process we will also overhaul the code base to allow for 12 second block times with 4 confirmations, which will allow us to tackle instant payments for both e-commerce and point of sale vending.

Thorns of War
https://www.facebook.com/towrpg

Thorns of War is an HTML5, browser-based RPG and World Simulation. The entire world begins with only streams, trees, resources, and NPCs. Nearly everything in the game is built by players who chop down the trees, carve pans to gather tin and gems from the streams, dig up stones to build furnaces, hire NPCs to do the grunt work, build roads for their carts, raise huts and halls of timber and stone, and forge all their own gear. It's played from the perspective of a character that you create, but the game looks more like an RTS. The game has had paying players in the past, but was taken offline to revamp the art, combat system, and character creator, much of which is finished. The game will integrate Cinder micro-payments. There are task points used for different activities in the game, from panning a stream to building a bridge, and these can be refilled for a price. There are also some special hirelings that can be purchased, such as the paymaster to pay your units far and wide and the weapons master to train your guards.

2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Mythril [MYTH] on: October 06, 2014, 09:37:05 PM
NOTE: I'll be using this thread to plan the design and launch of Mythril [MYTH]. Consider the following information to be incomplete and subject to frequent change. Do not base investment decisions on this information as the project could be cancelled or significantly modified at any time.

Mythril [MYTH]

A coin with no proof of work and 0% proof of stake interest. The reward is delivered 100% via the transaction fee. This design is intended to reward those who support the network rather than simply anyone owning coins. It also ensures zero inflation of the coin total. The 100% "premine" and price floor are intended to trade rewards for wasteful mining for price stability. The coin will essentially be backed by BTC. Mythril will be designed and intended for micro-payments in online indie games, especially web-based RPGs (Role-Playing Games).

Specifications

Total Coins: 1,000,000
Transaction Fee: 0.03 MYTH
Stake Interest: 0%
Stake Delay: 24 Hours
Block Time: 20 Seconds
Confirmations: 3

Generation & Distribution

All coins will be premined and sold at 0.001 BTC.

   1m * 0.001 BTC = 1,000 BTC

Price Floor and DevFund

* 95% of BTC from MYTH sold or resold will be added to the price floor (initially at 0.00095 BTC).
* 5% of BTC from MYTH sold or resold will be traded to USD and added to the DevFund.

   1,000 * $330 = $330,000 * 0.05 = $16,500 (50 BTC) in DevFund

* 100% of MYTH rebought will be resold at the 1 month high, but no less than 105% of the floor.
* The majority of MYTH rebought will be staked to support the network instead of forming a massive sell wall.
* If the price floor grows larger than 1,000,000 coins it will be raised.
* The price floor can only be lowered if it's above 0.001 and it shrinks to less than 800,000 coins.
* The price floor may not be removed... ever. It acts as the backing for the coin.
* If the coin is eventually backed by something other than BTC (silver?) there will be at least 90 days notice.

The DevFund will be used to support the promotion and development of:

Mythril Coin [MYTH]: A coin dedicated to the promotion & funding of indie games.
Thorns of War [ToW]: A browser-based RPG & World Simulation powered by Mythril.
Earth Assembly [EA]: A social network with voting & commerce powered by Mythril.

3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / C++/Linux Proficient Altcoin Dev Needed on: September 18, 2014, 11:04:49 PM
I'm launching a coin as an IPO for an RPG that will then accept the coin. The game is mostly done, and has been online with paying players in the past.

I'm a C# developer, though. I plan to brush up on C++ so I can maintain/improve the coin, but I don't feel that I'm the right person to get the ball rolling. I'm looking for someone proficient in C++ and Linux who can help decide which coin to clone, can help to properly modify it in the most basic ways, and essentially ensure everything is in working order to launch. I'm not looking for fancy upgrades or features. I'm looking for a basic, solid coin with fast transactions. This should be fairly simple for the right person.

I'm looking for someone with experience, not someone who is just learning to code. If you've actually launched a coin before, even better.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Best & Fastest PoS Coin to Clone on: August 31, 2014, 12:19:42 AM
I'm rereleasing an online RPG and world-SIM this fall, and I've decided the best way to fund the work and infrastructure is through crypto. The idea is to find the best coin for the job, clone it, and then release it as a sort of IPO. The game will accept this coin as payment, and I have another, larger project which will also use it next year. I'm less concerned with anonymity and most concerned with transaction speed and stability. A coin that you could use for point of sale and not worry about forks. I will, actually, most likely do a point of sale system with it aimed at outdoor vendors.

I'd like to hear the BCT community's thoughts on the best coin to be cloned for this scenario. Thanks! =)
