1  Bitcoin / Wallet software / BitcoinJS pushing transactions to the network on: September 10, 2014, 09:17:15 PM
Hi Guys so i'm just looking some of the javascript implementations of the bitcoin network mainly bitcoinJS and bitcore. I remember looking at BitcoinJS a few months ago before the v1 release and they had these inforgraphs, showing how the bitcoinJS-lib hooked up to bitcoinJS-server and web wallet. Since the V1 release of bitcoinJS-Lib it seems like the idea of the bitcoin nodejs server is forgotten about as the code hasn't been updated in 3/4 years.

So my question is (since there is no proper documentation) if bitcoinJS is just javascript implementation of the bitcoin functions and your not running a full node. How are the transactions relayed to the BTC network, would you still need to run bitcoind or btcd and send the fully qualified raw transaction via RPC to sendrawtransaction to push the tx out to the public ledger?
2  Bitcoin / Mining / dealing with un-educated neighbours on: August 26, 2014, 10:52:11 AM
I live in a residential area in central/south london, underneath a heathrow flight path, with a bunch of hoodlums who hang around our street screaming and shouting as well as a Jamaican family who constantly blast out reggae and dance hall music, yet some old woman 2 doors up has been compiling to me for running a few miners in a spare room in my house, stating "she cant enjoy her garden in peace" yet she's never complained about any of the other distractions mentioned

She insits and decided to tell everyone on the street that we are operating a cannabis factory from our house. When confronted i didnt mention bitcoin but simply said i was running a distributed computing project and it was perfectly legal, but if she continued making slanderous remarks about me i will sue her for decimation and any loss of income if the police come round.

She now insists that you cant run distributed computing projects from private dwellings and that "she will be informing the council" which i really couldn't give a f*ck about  since im moving out in a few weeks.

Has anyone else had to deal with un-educated neighbours?

4  Bitcoin / Pools / privatecoinpurse.info 100% Green Powered p2pool. Decentralise NOW [OFFICAL] on: June 17, 2014, 11:32:54 AM
Hi Bitcoin Talk people.

I've been a member here some time lurking, then getting involved exposing scammers. Some of you may seen my recent thread about the farm i have been building, our plan was to always open up the farm into a decentralised p2pool connecting up the other phases in our project.

the first phase of farm 1 is a 100/THs bitcoin pool, which is 100% powered by green renewable energy thanks to a giant 5/Mw solar farm

(We even use goats to cut down the use of the petrol mower Cheesy)

We use an extremely powerful, fully spec'd Hp Blade system c7000 with 256GB ram and 128Xeon cores with redundant power, UPS, 1gbps downstream and redundant satellite internet downstream, with industry standard load balanced TP-link routers

.

The farm is currently running at 100Gh/s towards p2pool but we will soon be putting 1/Phs towards decentralised mining
.

The pool is located in the czech republic but will soon be opening farms in different worldwide so you wont have any latency issues

And we would like you to join us, f*ck been greedy miners on ghash why give people your has for them to crash the price and abuse their position, btc was supposed to be dectralised lets make satoshi proud!!

We currently charge a 2.5% fee as we are not merge mining NMC, but plan to lower that if we have 500Ghs of other miners joining us.

5  Bitcoin / Hardware / How to debug lketc.com dragon miner without SSH on: June 06, 2014, 06:27:18 AM
The stupid lketc.com factory have changed the default SSH password for the rasp pi on the miners, we now have 100 machines sat in the farm unable to connect to the network with the same

Error getting device list: ERR: socket connect(0) failed

Previously ive debugged this error from SSH, but we have no access to it and the factory refuse to give it out, to us to semtong or another one of there resellers, but it sounds like the machines are hashing. We are starting to believe lketc have done this deliberately to steal our hash power.

Can any body offer any advice on how to fix this
6  Economy / Scam Accusations / Dont buy miners from lketc.com Locked out SSH root to user, Stealing your hashes on: June 05, 2014, 07:54:18 PM
I would highly recommend to everyone not to buy one single bitcoin miner from Lketc.com

We are in the process of setting up 100 machines we just bought from them, i have spent the last 2 weeks while waiting for their ridiculous slow shipping to recieve the miners, in that time i built a management interface to easily manage all miners from a web UI.

This management system needs to use ssh as part of the control mechnaism, using a dragon miner i had a few months i based the system on that, we just setup the farm and in process of setting up the machines but we can not ssh into the raspberry pis

the default ssh password should be

user:pi@host
password:raspberry

they have now changed this and there skype support guy said they will not tell it to me because its a secret. I think this is disgraceful i own this computer outright therefore should have full root access to the system.

i do not want some slinty eyed chinese person having full ssh control over my farm and £100sK pounds worth of equipment.

Luckily i have an old ISO which has the old SSH setting but it is incredibly time consuming to burn 100 new iso.

I would not trust this company at all who will not give you root access to the server or to see what is hidden on the OS.

AVOID THIS COMPANY UNTILL THEY SORT THIS OUT
7  Economy / Scam Accusations / shenzen hackers impersonating lketc.com under new skype on: June 02, 2014, 02:17:43 PM
The scammer group i made a few posts about and that user "shadowhax" has been investigating are once again targeting potential lketc.com customers.

They were abusing the old nancy business skype ID i highlighted in a previous post.

the new OFFICIAL lketc.com skype is

"lketc.miner"

The same scammers are abusing the skype search results again with a phony

"lketc.miners" skype user name

They always offer 5% discount for orders over 3 units and always require payment in bitcoins, be cautious when adding the lktec.com guys or any other hardware supplier, these bunch of low life scum bags wont stop.

shadowhax i tried contacting you regarding the investigation you done to these guys but had no response, please get in touch because im sure we can get these scum.

8  Bitcoin / Mining / bitcoind on separate server to p2pool on: June 02, 2014, 02:08:34 PM
Im looking to setup a p2pool, and have an IBM blade centre to play with, 160+Gb Ram 60+cores. i want to put all the *coind ( i've coined that term Wink  ) servers on a separate VM to the main p2pool for basic security improvements. Running your *coind servers on the main p2pool server that is accessible to the public seems to be asking for trouble, but all the guides assume *coind is running on the same p2pool node.

Any advice or guides appreciated, i checked all the p2pool guides and README's with no info

Thanks
 Cool
9  Economy / Scam Accusations / bit-wasp.org developers are really an organised gang of hackers and fraudsters on: April 30, 2014, 08:31:35 PM
The original title of this post was
Scammer user 'Sword' - impersenating LightingASIC/Lketc vendors

But after updates id like to call out who is really behind it all

=========

There is some fraudster lurking around skype impersonating some reputable hardware asic vendors around

Notably he is impersonating user asicbtc on this forum, or JackASIC/Jack depending on how you know him, he is also impersonating iketc.com via skype as well. He is also putting fronts up on alibaba, aliexpress, dhgate pretending to be these guys and forwarding them to his fake skype.

The two fake IDS i know are

"altcoin," impersonating the real "altcoin" who is asicbtc
"live:nancy_business" impersonating "nancy_business" who is iketc.com

I also belive he is impersonating semtong and gridseed vendors from looking through fake profiles on the mentioned Chinese trading sites

I was unfortunately burned by this prick a few weeks ago as i copied jacks skype name from his signature that had " , " separating his skype and icq name a little carelessness cost me coins.

after following where the coins went a few hops the landed in this address

16R14EH4v8A9GPXkAAP8gcMFBA8oxA8nbY

This address looks like it's known to be used by some big time scammer, using blockchain tree visualise tool i spent hours following how these coins were split and mixed around to clean the inputs, along the way i started to see connections to another recent hack

http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/21foj9/funds_currently_being_stolen_from_vanity/

there seemed to be lots of vanity address inputs, and also coins going around this mixer into what looked like vanity created bitcoin address

while trying to find more details on this address 16R14EH4v8A9GPXkAAP8gcMFBA8oxA8nbY as the reddit post mentioned it was related to mtgox and possible Andreas, but what i stumbled upon was this
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=564335.msg6185654#msg6185654

the same address linking to bitcointalk user "sword" linking to vanity address payments and hardware scam/fraud

this bitcoin talk post naming the user sword is in the german sub forums, which also coincides with his skype local time and online habits.

If any one has any information to add on any of the cases mentioned above please pm me, and proceed with cation when adding skype contacts, as he is abusing the way contact results are being returned using names that are alphabetically higher than the genuine ones.
10  Bitcoin / Hardware / DragonMiner 1TH/s PI wont boot on: April 30, 2014, 07:24:41 PM
Im having some troubles with a 1TH/s DragonMiner unit,

the first issue was that it would not join the network after rebooting, which looks like the SD card in the pi board was corrupt, I plugged the pi into the screen and saw the following errors

'VFS no file system could mount root'

I googled this and host of answers mainly relating to raspberry Pi support questions regarding corrupt SDs which confirmed my suspicion, one post result did link me to a post on this forum

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=545642.20

Which provided a fresh ISO for the miner, and found the following tutorial on how to create a bootable SD for Pi's
http://elinux.org/RPi_Easy_SD_Card_Setup

I don’t have a card reader on my linux box so used a friends mac to create the sd using, after unmounting the sd partition as suggested in the tutorial

sudo dd bs=2m of=/iso.img if=/dev/rdisk1s1

once finished i tried to boot the card again and no look, this time the Pi wouldn’t even show up on screen to see the boot messages, so i tried this again on a second spare Pi i had lying around on a fresh SD same process and still nothing. is this the correct method of making a bootable pi for the dragon miners? I’ve used this process before to make bootable iso's of Linux installs for usb so im pretty sure it's the right commands and process, can anyone else offer any insight?

if anyone’s able to make a disk img copy of there working install I’ll happily tip you
11  Economy / Lending / UK Registered Business for 30BTC Loan for 30days with 10% repayment on: April 07, 2014, 06:01:26 AM
Hello,

We are a UK registered business that is selling asics on amazon and our web store.

We require a 30BTC Loan for bulk buying of hardware and shipping that will greatly reduce our costs and increase profit margins

In the past 3 months we turned over £10k and have current orders with amazon pending payment at the end of the month of £6.5k

Currently our supplier handles all shipping but direct to customers but we have agreed a bulk deal on pallet and delivery to me and i will handle shipping through amazon, the bulk deal would save us around 35% per unit

While we have the money to buy the bulk order amazon hold all payments for 14 days then they have to fall into a bi-monthly payment schedule and then several days to clear from their accounts, so our £6.5k isn't scheduled until the end of the month.

The 30 BTC Loan will be paid at the end of the month with 10% interest of 3BTC the loan can be paid in either cash or bitcoin as a business loan to our UK LTD, As forms of physical assets as collateral i have 0. Ideally the loan would come from the UK and we could meet in person to show you my amazon sales and pending payment would be enough. If you are in the UK and have commercial space though we could agree the asics are delivered to your commercial address and couriered from their.

I know alot of these post for lending are blatant scams, but ours genuinely isn't. If you would like to discuss please pm me and we can discuss over the phone/skype
