1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Refusing to pay bounty hunters is a red flag. Scam- KNT as case study on: July 26, 2019, 11:11:23 PM
I just felt I should do a flash back on projects that cheated on bountyhunters or refused to pay for work done and do a recap on how they fared afterwards. There are many of such projects ,you can add to the lists.
Kora Network
Led by Dickson Nsofor and Maomao Daniel Hu

Raised 12 Million USD with the help of bounty hunters

Then refused to pay for several months, ignored bounty manager until an anti-campaign was started, only then paid a tiny fraction of work done.
Current Market cap 43000 USD

Loss to investors -99.64 %

Nothing substantial in terms of project implementation (other than listing on some small exchange-one of which is no more)
Team probably dumped their own tokens and walked away with over 10Million USD. That to me is a form of scam.
How a project treats bounty hunters/managers tells a lot about their integrity and can serve as a red flag to investor. Nothing can be achieved long term when integrity is lacking in a project team.

What projects you now that followed same pattern, please indicate.

2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / ICOs are too expensive on: August 22, 2018, 04:45:54 PM
Here is something I have observed as regard ICOs raising funds and why many are trading at below ICO price soon after listing on exchanges. The reason could well be the fact that project teams are making ICO tokens too expensive, almost at same level with what we had at the bullish market.Meanwhile, the market is now 25% of its usually market.
Project teams implement better funds management strategies, avoid wastages and unnecessary  expense and thus have a cheaper ICO, I personally believe that they can reduce their expense by at least 50 percent and thus ask for less, cheaper tokens as such, that way, investors will be better make returns on their investments.
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin's historical low and the lessons it teaches us on: August 16, 2018, 01:29:32 AM
This post is not about the price of the famous 'bitcoin pizza' that saw Laszlo Hanyecz buying two Papa Pizza in 2010 with 10,000 bitcoins (yes, for those who didn't know,it happened) but the actual lowest price of bitcoin recoded formally by coinmarket.com, Here are the details below:
Bitcoin lowest price was 66.62 $ per bitcoin
Date was July 07, 2013
Market cap. for that day was a mere 782,352,000$

To put that in perspective , current bitcoin's market cap. is 108,199,097,492$ (three extra zeros) and price is approximately 100x, You see, we have really come a long , it is not yet time to give up hope, they is a bigger picture than the current market sentiments.

4  Economy / Trading Discussion / Cardinal metaphors to remember when investing/trading on: August 11, 2018, 11:52:15 AM
Whether you in invest(Hodl) or you (day) trade, here are two rather hilarious quotes you should always remember
"In Investing, always remember that Rome was not built in a day"
"In Trading, always remember  that some cities were unfortunately destroyed in a day"
 Be cautious.

(I didn't add the name of any city so as respect sensitivity of such issues)
5  Other / Serious discussion / Successful ICOs have these in common on: August 10, 2018, 01:54:20 PM
ICO scams have become increasingly common, it takes considerable work to sieve through the huge numbers and get to the good ones. Here are some indicators that could be a template in making your own choice, The list is not exhaustive , please feel free to add yours and help us build a better forum.

1. Project Concept or Idea- what stands out with the project? is it another 'payment' coin with no additional innovation or something mind-blowing

2. Team -A great project will not succeed without a great team, proven expertise and integrity, you may need to use "reverse google image" to ascertain if they are real

3. Board of Advisers - Great projects usually do not fall from the skies, there is usually some build-up to it,and involves respectable personalities giving some guidance to the project

4. White Paper - If the white paper is bad or plagiarized, there is really nothing to work on.

5. Feasible plan- Is it a plan that can be implemented, not just on paper

6. Website- should not be crappy ,great projects have nice and easy-to-use website loaded with information about projects, no malicious links

7. Marketing and Promotions - Project must have a good reach and publicity, usually reflected in social media activities

8. Legal Compliance - There should be enough legal back for he project, no restrictions or government regulations against it

9. Code Security - Ideally should be public and safe ,without bugs

10. Token Issuance and distribution -  Fair distribution to teams members, advisers, community, reserve etc.

A good project will score high in all these fronts.

6  Economy / Trading Discussion / Common Errors of Trading on: August 03, 2018, 06:49:24 PM
Here are some interesting facts about trading I stumbled across from CryptoCred which I think may be helpful
Common error to avoid when you day trade, I modified some to reflect my own opinion.

1. Revenge trading, trying to get back a trade that has been lost or chasing a trade.

2. Never using a Stop

3. Not having a plan (Risk/Entry/Exit/Stop)

4. Not sticking to your plan

5. Greed — risking too much/not taking profit

6. Being too emotional about a trade.

Plug these equity drains & increase your odds of being profitable.
You could add to the list and make better trades
