I can not withdraw BTC and USD to ripple gateway of Bitstamp.

All of withdrawal requests became to "Failed"  

The support staff replied yesterday:

Our ripple hot wallet is currently empty. We will refill it as soon as possible.

And their hot wallet is still empty. Does this happen often? Is there any way to buy/sell on their gateway?
