Bitcoin / Mining support / Mining question on limits
|

To whoever know:Is it possible to use a miner (bfgminer,cgminer,.....) with any of the asic products that can a) mine on multiple pools b) "cap" the hashing power to a limit c) load balance if a pool is off or unrechable
an example. i want to always hash with 1ghash on deepbit (god forbit!) , 3 ghash on slush , 5ghash on another pool. in case of the "other pool" goes off , the 5ghash to be distributed among the 2 previous pools. the detail on that is the hash limit. i havent seen that anywhere (or i've missed it)

Hello to all. I have stumbled upon a kind of problematic situation the past days. I deposited btc to my intersango account, sold them and tried to withdraw in euro using a sepa transfer. Until now all is working as supposed to. The problem starts when a lot of days passed and my transaction is still at a "Requested" status instead of sent. I opened a ticked of course yesterday and waiting for the answer. Its probably nothing but i am asking if anyone else has problems this time with transactions. ty

Economy / Trading Discussion / The magic of mtgox and international banking system..

My experience could also be a contest with a prize. I tried (and succeded as it turned up) to withdraw an astronomic amount of 61.58$ on my bank account via international wire. My account is in euro but that is of no importance. Can you guess how much of the 61.58$ made it to the account? ... ... wait... .... 5.54euro which is almost 7.33$.
on my last "attempt" of 28$ before a long time (june 2011), 20 made it... what is happening? is this common practice that i am not aware of? Do people know that and i somehow missed it? I can understand that its "petty cash" for a great deal of people in here but... i cannot find the words to describe this situation without swearing... your thoughts?

Economy / Marketplace / searching to buy consumer products with btc
|

Some people could say that my subject could be a bit misleading since english is not my native language but bare with me... I was thinking the other day that i didn't want to exchange btc with usd/eur but i preffered to exchange them with hardware. So as a noob in electronics , but an enthousiast in anything that i've encounter , i would like to buy an arduino board or something similar with lan/wireless addons . Although the wiki site has a pretty long list of people and services i havent stumbled upon something similar (that is available now). Maybe i've missed something. The other part was that international shipping was a bit tricky . I happen to live in Greece. Some of the merchants are using shipping only inside US .... If anyone has info on a merchant that sells electronics in btc and uses international shipping , i would be very obliged for a reply or a pm. thank you for your time

Bitcoin / Mining / help needed in fpga (actually enlightment and instructions...)

reading through the forum i stumpled upon a claim that someone could use a fpga card from a dvr for mining.. and i remembered a dvr that is presumably dead in my office. long story short i have a pci card with an altera cyclone chip ep1g20f400c8 . Does anybody knows if this can be used for mining purposes? can someone instruct me how to do that?
