The Announcement (Altcoins) section of the Alternate cryptocurrencies forum is being run down by fake replies and bots. I made an ANN thread about a project there and was immediately approached by some people on the telegram about services they offered on Bitcointalk forum. They claimed that they have 20-30 accounts and they can easily increase the visibilty of my ANN thread for some fees. They offered me some plans where they would make a specific number of posts every day for the thread to stay on the top and have greater visibility. While there is nothing that looks fraudulent by offering such activity, the reality is that genuine ANN threads never get visibility on that section and are relegated to the bottom of that index in a matter of minutes. Projects that use these services can always have their threads on the top and the entire section has been gamed. I would request the Admin team of the board to think of some innovative way to curb this problem and come up with techniques that gives each and every project the equal amount of opportunity to market their product. |

About SureRemitThe SureRemit token (RMT) is a utility token built on the Stellar Network, designed to be used by immigrants and customers within the SureRemit platform. Following this standard, SureRemit tokens are easily transferable between users and can be supported by wallets and exchanges that already support Stellar lumens. I wish to know the reason for the deletion of my last post/Topic. It described the launch of India operations for SureRemit along with the link to their Application in IOS and Andriod. Also it contained my referall code using which any user can get $5 in their SureRemit wallet for downloading the application. No Spamming or redirecting to fake websites or anything!! The company had not paid me a penny to put up this post. Yet, my post was deleted without any message or trace. I would like to know the reason.

I have a steller account which I have funded with 1.1 XLM. I want to hold some other asset on my wallet but when I open my wallet on Stellerport.io to create a trustline for that asset the trustline button is not clickable. Can anyone provide me with some sort of solution?

Hello, I was close to getting scammed on BTT. On the India board, I saw a post from Asianfun which read out as TEL ARBITRAGE!! It proclaimed that there was a massive 80% arbitrage opportunity in Telcoin (TEL) on Forkdelta and Kucoin. He also gave a link for the listed coin on forkdelta. I checked out the prices and indeed there was a good gap between the two prices with an arbitrage opportunity. I started collecting my ETH onto a single account so that I don't have to pay multiple transaction fees but thought of rechecking everything.
On a detailed check I found the TELCOIN on forkdelta to be fake. Hence, here I am to provide you with a detailed guide on how not to get scammed with coins.
Step 1) Check on Coin Market Cap. Telcoin was a Rank 110 coin, yet its buy order book on Forkdelta was non-existent. no one was buying the coin whereas the order book on KuCoin was quite vibrant. FLAG 1
Step 2) When I tried to locate Telcoin by scrolling on Forkdelta I came across only the real coin page. The scammer coin was missing. FLAG 2
Step 3) Finally, the link that the scammer had shared for forkdelta contained contract address. On going through etherscan you can read the contract. People with basic knowledge about coding can easily understand that the contract is fake. FLAG 3
Step 4) The executed orders would only have buy orders i.e. orders that were executed by price takers on buying side and not sell orders. BIGGEST FLAG
Scammers have invented a new method where they take any relatively small but among top 300 coins and use the same name/matching name to create their own coin with same metrics. Now they place sell orders at relatively cheaper value than the original coins so that people think that there is an arbitrage opportunity. People buying those coins send their ETH/BTC or whatever and scammers make good money by selling worthless coins.
My two cents would be never take anything at face value. Keep an eye open and look for faults. Look for deviations when doing arbitrage.

Hello everyone. I am bombed with questions regarding how to invest in cryptocurrencies by my friends. I decided to share my strategies...Firstly, the entire crypto space is witnessing a big bear run after attaining it all-time high in January, 2018. There is no one in the world who can say that the bear run will last till what time. If anyone tells you that the prices will move up in a month, he/she is pronouncing it out of self-interest/negligence. P.S. I have analyzed 30 COINS BUT PUT UP STATS ONLY FOR TOP 15 BECAUSE OF IMMENSE WORK TO PUT TABLE. I CANNOT PUT IN IMAGES YET. Step 2: Coins with good retraction percentage have the highest potential to boom up when the bull run returns. Step 3: Always track your favorite coins for potential news. News can be major triggers for movements in price. Crypto price movements are decided by the news and one can make real bucks if he is quick to the task. Check ripple whose price has appreciated 40%+ on back of positive news. You can create a good portfolio if you are a believer in the crypto ecosystem.
