6  Economy / Economics / Security Tokens - Polo / Circle on: March 05, 2018, 05:37:26 PM
As of most recently, Circle bought out Polo.

As you all know Circle is backed by Goldman and Sachs.

What does it all really mean? Well, bascially Circle is doing OTC as well as building out polo infrastucture for security tokens.

Security tokens will be the next big thing in crypto and legitimise the entire industry even more. In order to run security tokens, you must be regulated.

By introducing security tokens you also have the beautiful knock-on effect of paying out real revenue as dividends in tokens.

Now say you have 100 big companies all coming into the crypto space to make a security token and each of them has a revenue of 10million and are paying 50% of that out as dividends to their tokens holders in the form of tokens.

What happens? Well, logically 500 mil will be pumped into the crypto market each year. And these tokens are actually backed by something which will give serious investors the confidence to move in.

9  Economy / Speculation / Rally Analysis on: November 07, 2015, 01:10:18 AM
Welcome to my rally analysis thread Smiley

I said a while ago, if we go through the upper line of the yearly channel we have a chance for a real rally and then its time to get excited and analyze the new situation.

So let's go...

What happened before?

What now? The "fomo" channel was not sustainable. We are looking for a new support line.

I expect one of this:

360: part of the yearly channel, already tested, triangle is forming on it right now. could be already the low.
340: yearly channel, heavy support expected
320: we already tested this few days ago, I dont think we can fall below it.

I expect 360 was already the lowest and we go up again from here but 340 could happen, 320 is very unlikely.

11  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / what is the estimated power consumption of the entire network? on: April 29, 2014, 11:06:39 AM
i am doing some calculations and i wonder what the total power consumption for the entire bitcoin mining is.

we are currently at 50,000,000 gh/s. i read that the most efficient miners mine at 0.7-1.1 watt per hour per gh.
i think with decent cooling you need at least 1 watt. that would be a minimum of 50,000kw/h.

did i make any mistake in my calculation? what do you think is the average watt per gh of the current network / the total power consumption?

thx in advance Smiley

13  Local / Projektentwicklung / Exchange Api Bridge on: March 04, 2014, 09:05:19 AM
Hi,

14  Economy / Speculation / Where do you store most of your btcs? on: February 28, 2014, 12:38:48 PM
After mtgox stoped withdrawals a discussion started how secure btcs stored at exchanges are. Finally they revealed that they were lost.
Some exchanges said they would start doing audits and all btc are secure.
I am curious where you store most of your btcs and if you changed your mind about online wallets.

i expect that more people will move their btcs from exchanges into cold storage. would that lead to lower trading volumes and higher volatility?

15  Other / Beginners & Help / Huobi is dominating on: January 08, 2014, 03:12:18 PM
In several topics i read that china and china exchanges wouldnt be that important anymore.
But when i am watching the charts it seems like all exchanges check what happens on Huobi and then react.

What do you think? What charts do you watch primary?
